Excellent food and friendly service. Not the cheapest restaurant on the block but it is worth paying for. A good addition to the Newcastle city centre eateries.

Lovely restaurant; good service and good food. Very good value with the early evening special menu if you order before 7pm. I thoroughly enjoyed my quiet dinner catching up with friends here and will be going again... they have a kids menu too so I might come back with the family next time...

We had a positively lovely evening. The food was delicious and very well-judged in preparation, presentation and flavour. Made date night a total treat. Our server was knowledgeable about the menu, friendly, and made some lovely suggestions about wines without being pushy. Our date nights are rare. We wouldn't normally try a chain but did because Secret Diner rated it a success. Secret Diner was right. It was a lovely meal. Mmmm. So much more on the menu to explore!

Well situated, lovely food and very nice staff, what more could you want. They also have a gluten free menu, which is great for coeliacs. I wish more restaurants would follow their lead. My wife and I have had lunch and dinner twice, and we’ve thoroughly enjoyed the experience.

We were a family party of seven and were given a cosy corner to ourselves and enjoyed the space we had. Cote Brasserie manage the right level of attention and service without rushing their diners. Good experience.

A first time visit here for a friends 70th birthday. A lovely place, good food and excellent staff. The only reason I didn't give this a 6 was that I thought the time in between courses was a little slow but I will definitely be going back.

Disappointed as we had high hopes. The food was rather basic (compared with what we expected from the menu description) and unimaginative for the price. Also poor that when my fiancée asked if two of the menu options would be available without mushrooms or olives she was told “that’s how it comes”. No real attempt made to accommodate, just a take it or leave it. In no way would we consider it value for money. Pleasant surroundings and staff, but if you’re charging this kind of price for food you need to up your game with presentation of meals, the menu and going the extra mile.

Staff friendly and good food but Service of food a little slow. Also one if our guests who arrived early was placed at the table downstairs but the rest of us were seated upstairs on arrival. One starter didn’t arrive and had to be asked for again. Overall though good value and a good night

If possible I’d say way more than 6. Welcome and service amazing - you’re made to feel truly valued and comfortable; it’s like you’ve been regulars for years. Food is faultless and the weekday lunch menu is superb; I just don’t know how they can offer such quality at this price. If only eau de vie de poire was available as a digestif...

Excellent customer service something we have received each time we have vistited a Côte (Richmond, Glasgow, Newcastle). The menu offers a wide yet coherent selection of rustic French inspired food which is always very tasty and absolute great value for money....

The food was beautiful absolutely faultless and the staff were attentive and helpful. I’m a coeliac and they have a lot of gluten free items on a separate menu but also willing to make changes to dishes that aren’t. Would 100% recommend

Lovely early evening 2 course meal. A glass of white cotes de gascogne was delightful and a good glass of house red to accompany the courses which were tasty. Pork and celeriac/ pissalaerie followed by poulet grille x2. Charming waitress. Expensive single expressos. Will go back.

Service was excellent and the quality of the food was good. We ate there at lunchtime and the atmosphere was just right. Good mix of tables: we sat in a booth. It was more expensive for lunch than we would normally spend: £72 per couple for 2 courses but excellent menu choice and 2 of us had monkfish which carries a premium anyway. Casual and relaxed. Would return but maybe for the Monday to Friday lunch deals
