Côte Muswell Hill

We visited Le Cote on Sunday evening of the August Bank Holiday where the restaurant was half full as Bank Holidays go are least full than other normal weekends. One of the main reasons why we choose Le Cote was their roast chicken taste fantastic however we were disappointed when we arrived to be informed by the waitress they had run out of chicken!! We were more surprise as the restaurant was half full so someone had clearly made an error in ordering the chicken that weekend. We had one of the special monthly dinners on offer which was the Tuna which we both enjoyed so not a bad result at the end of the night.

Overpriced, average food which is padded out with lots of bread. Go to Florians2 in Crouch End for better food and better wine and even better atmosphere.

All round a very nice evening food was good, staff were more than helpful,and the atmosphere was also good,first time there but will go back

Service was very good and the food was to the top standard we have come to expect. The special aperitif on offer was an eye opener. Well worth the effort.

Up to their usual high standards. The value meal before 7pm we ate of frisee salad and then chicken was very tasty. After several weeks abroad it was good to return to something familiar.

The food and ambience were as good as ever. The service was a little slow to begin with, but the place was busy for midweek, and staff illness was not helping. The seven month pregnant lady drafted in from Hampstead was doing a sterling job of keeping the ship on an even keel.

The food was very good and there is a lot of choice on the menu. Service is friendly and welcoming. As a wheelchair user, there is plenty of space and the tables are well spread out. Also has an accessible toilet and easy flat entrance into the restaurant. Good experience all round.

We had a very pleasant anniversary meal last evening - rather a noisy table near us with three boys and their parents but they didn't spoil the occasion. The meal was very good and the service excellent. Thank you.

This is my favorite Cote, spread over three rooms the atmosphere is often different in each section. so one has a choice of noisy, quiet or sometimes a whole room to myself. The food is consistently good and the service always great.

Had a very tasty lunch with 3 friends . The service was helpful and friendly and dealt sensitively with one of the group who had an allergy. The food arrived promptly and all enjoyed their choices .pleasant environment and quiet today at lunchtime, maybe as it isn't school holidays .... Will definitely go again

Very good meal, nice choice of dishes on the set menu, with the usual good service. Only minus was the egg in the starter was more hard-boiled than soft-boiled.

bordering on average. poor table clearance. bland soup, lukewarm. garlic bread did not remotely taste of garlic! little atmosphere am minded to write to the CEO this is not a good standard for the price not value for money

I chose Cote because of the care they take with their gluten-free dishes. Both I and my non-coeliac friend really enjoyed our food, and, as ever, the service was friendly. A lovely evening.

Top food and great service ! Steak was delightful so much choice in the menu and if you get there before 7 they have a really fair deal on a three course meal!

Good food and service. French onion soup, cold. Otherwise a nice meal. Found food was better in the Bournemouth branch. My wife had melon with no ham, and the same amount of melon on the plate, where as Bournemouth there was extra melon. Little touches like that make such a big difference.

Good food, good service, nice air-conditioned premises! Perfect. I had a rib-eye steak which was superb as always. Overall very consistent in their quality, we have been there many many times.

Great around restaurant - seems they have new manager and staff lot less rude than before. Although waiter reappearing on my 1st mouthful to check ‘is everything ok?’ 1 minute after he’d asked the same question was a bit overkill.

Really enjoyed our relaxed meal and the staff were friendly and no rush. Tried something new this time and wasn't disappointed. We will be back.

The food was good, tasty, we certainly would have love to have more vegetables on the dish. Our waitress was nervous and forgetful waitress, and made faces onto other waitresses Still we will go back!

Four of us went this evening. All meals were excellent this evening and ambience was good. Very pleasant and helpful staff. Will certainly be going again soon.

The food was cold and I asked for my steak well done and it was medium rare . Normally it's good here but yesterday the food was horrible .

The quality of the food (including the starters and desert were excellent). The service is outstanding. We are frequent customers. The coffee is usually good, however, in the last visit, there is room for improvement.

Food always of a predictable standard of cooking. Service precise and swift aircon. excellent in this heatwave. You always know what you get in any of the Cote branches. Basically it is very well organised and all round standards are monitored judging be the consistency over the years.

As always, a very good value breakfast. Both the Eggs Royale and French Breakfast were particularly lovely. The service was friendly and efficient as usual

Good value food of very decent quality for the price (beats competing restaurants of similar type). Efficient service but too much corporate routine, e.g. "complimentary" water, excessive invitation to order more (starter nibbles, sides, etc.). Would recommend and will visit again.

Cote Muswell Hill has superb service and a light and airy, friendly atmosphere. It's our default place in the area, and is great both for breakfast and dinner.

Food, service and setting were very good but overall experience was marred somewhat by excessive background traffic noise transmitted via open front windows/doors onto street.

Great service from obliging waiters. It was birthdays for 2 guests out of 3 so we had some complimentary Kir Royales to start. And the foodwas excellent

A lovely large restaurant, with a good choice of tables. Our waitress was very friendly and the ambiance was great. We had onion soup and amazing calamares, followed by pork belly, veal escalope and a super burger. All were delicious. We finished up with a white chocolate mouse that was, as the late Michael Winner might have called "historic".

Lovely food, family friendly and great service. Enjoyable for father's day lunch for all the family. Husband enjoys the good quality tasty food and kids do too.

Appallingly poor burger and brioche bun. £11.50 for a recently defrosted item. Service not bad. Location good, nice atmosphere in restaurant and nicely furnished. Won’t be hurrying back.

Pleasant lunch, service could be warmer and return guest recognition would go a long way... still a good place to visit on special occasions, as not cheap £144 for 4 (2 kids included) one would expect attentive service. Food was fine and tasty.

The Muswell Hill branch is my favourite. Always lively and the staff is so friendly, regardless of whether they are the ones waiting your table or not.

The food we had was very good, and it was possible to order the risotto dish without the goat's cheese that seems to be essential in all vegetarian options these days. I appreciated that but would have welcomed a slightly bigger variety of non-meat dishes on the menu (I counted only two vegetarian main dishes). Many of the mains are also served without vegetables; these have to be ordered separately and this can make the dishes quite expensive. Service was friendly and efficient, attentive but not intrusive.

One of the best chain restaurants. Good menu options and pleasant and efficient staff. Nice room and Comfortable. We enjoyed a good two courses that was very reasonably priced.

We went for breakfast as we did have it before and we really enjoyed it. Orange juice, teas or apple juice with a good selection of breakfast classics was quickly served with a lovely service.

A good experience food wise. The staff respond well to my son's peanut allergy. Allergy advice is something Cote could be more transparent in welcoming?

Venue spacious and nicely laid out. Waitress very pleasant. Food generally good, apart from belly pork which was very fatty and the small amount of meat was over cooked and hard to chew. No compensation when I complained.

Food was excellent as always. Sometimes it is a little hard to get attention of waiters but when you do engage with them, they are great. Maybe slightly understaffed. Otherwise it was a very good experience.

Overall, it was a pleasurable experience even though we had to wait close to 10 mins to be served. It was not busy, but we were not in a hurry. We got a bill for another table (actually change to be exact), but again not a bother. All in all, a good time out.
