The restaurant was virtually empty. Our waiter was very surly and brusque. We are regular customers of Cote and this was one of the poorest meals we have had at any Cote.
The service today was very slow . Once we had our main meal nobody came to check if we wanted desserts. I had to go and ask for a menu.
Perfect food, lovely setting and an amazing waiter who was such a delight.
Pleasant atmosphere, good food and satisfactory setvice. All in all,a good dining experience.
good food, good service, no waiting, but bad noise level
We have been visiting for 5 years but the food this evening was not very good. Also the wine was terrible. A very miserable waitress.
Such a lovely evening for an impromptu dinner for one at Côte Muswell Hill - beautiful good, wonderful service and delicious drinks - and thanks to the staff for looking after all my numerous bags of shopping ☺️
Always an enjoyable experience - good food, good value, good service
I had a good meal here.Staff were attentive and welcoming.Unfortunately my steak was rarer than I had asked for,but the kitchen quickly sorted that out.I would definitely come back.
Lovely relaxing lunch with my family . Good food great service all makes for a great lunch
Ordered veal escalope a favourite of mine. Also ordered beans, peas, frites. Peas looked wrinkled, not so freshly cooked but edible, beans were almost raw. Gave back to staff. In a while new beans arrived, also -raw. Asked manager to try as he may think I am just making a fuss for nothing. He agreed they were still undercooked, having told the kitchen to make sure they were cooked the second time. I understand that veg shouldn’t be overcooked but at least should be tender to eat.. Staff extremely polite and helpful. The restaurants also too noisy. No decor to absorb sound. Once I can’t hear what my table companion is saying, it is time to go! Muswell Hill Cote is better than my local in Highgate. Last meal I had looked like a dog fight. Always understaffed.
Thank you for an awesome day. Superb food and services
Great food and service, a winning choice for a Mother’s Day meal.
Lovely atmosphere. Food very good and staff helpful and efficient.
I love Cote, great food, always good service and a relaxing atmosphere 😁
Very pleased and enjoyed the meal. Friendly staff as well.
one of the most reliable restaurants in North London for its food and service
This is by far and away the most consistent restaurant in Muswell Hill. It’s busy, food is excellent and the service is pretty good. The choice is excellent ans it’s good value for money. I would highly recommend.
The daily menu is always fresh and priced very reasonably. There is plenty of room between the tables and it is a very pleasant clean place to eat
Good quality food reliable quality. Efficient and cheerful friendly service . Happy night out with my partner. However I hate that I have to write more words than I want
Amazing cousin!! We loved any dishes we ate. I suggest to everyone to enjoy having a dinner at Cotè Brasserie. Thank you to the staff is professional and friendly
Excellent food and service again. Steak was excellent. The restaurant was roomy with no excessive noise yes, yes, yes, yes ,yes yes, yes, yes yes, yes, yes, yes, yes bored, bored ,bored, bored, bored. This is too demanding
Good food as usual. Good wine as usual. Excellent selection of food on the menus. The special menus are very reasonably priced. Good service as usual.
Always a reliable place to meet for lunch. Good deal lunch menu has very good choice of food at a reasonable price. The staff are very nice & the ambience too.
I have also completed a separate review, responding to an email from Cote, so I'm not going to repeat everything here. Food excellent. Service very friendly and helpful but slower than we'd have liked. Shame we had to move tables because of the very noisy people who came and sat at the table next to ours, but staff assisted.
It was a lovely atmosphere, and we were very well looked after. It was my mother-in-law's birthday, and unbeknownst to us they brought a little chocolate cake and ice-cream with a lit candle at the end of our meal - very thoughtful and kind.
Excellent service in a restaurant where you can have a conversation and hear. Good ambience and very good food. Free bottle of wine most welcome
Great food , drinks and service. We booked a large table for a family birthday lunch and everything was really enjoyable and went seamlessly. V good.
We always enjoy this venue. The food is excellent, and the staff are very friendly. The only downside is the added on device charge. Overall it works out expensive, so only go on occasions or if there is a special offer on.
This restaurant is so lovely. Friendly staff and good service. There is a lot to choose from menu and an extensive wine menu. Worth visiting for a special occasion.
We have always had excellent food at Côte and have never been disappointed. Friendly, helpful staff and a great ambience. One of our favourite restaurants.
We have been to this restaurant on numerous occasions and lately it is really hit or miss if things are going to be run well. Service was terribly slow and we waited over an hour for our food. The staff were polite and generally informed us of delays, but only when they realised we were growing concerned over how long everything was taking. The restaurant was busy but with many pre- booked large tables, the kitchen was clearly struggling with demand. However, when the food did come it was delicious.
Excellent service and excellent excellent food staff very very friendly as always it is my local restaurant and I love it. Will be back in the new year
Côte Muswell Hill was the ideal venue to catch up with an old friend for lunch and enjoy an excellent meal at the same time. In spite of it being just before Christmas, the restaurant was not too noisy and the food and service were excellent.
Excellent evening with our family celebrating our Wedding Anniversary. It is just one of about three occasions a year when we as a family are all able to met and eat together. Even when one guest received their main meal slightly late the staff were very apologetic and attentive. The food was wonderful at every course look forward to going back in January when I am next in London
Good service and friendly staff. Starters everyone enjoyed. Main dishes good but fish a little over cooked. Desserts very good. Booking online worked well. Thank you.
I ordered duck, which was, according to the menu, served pink which is how it should be served and how I like it. It arrived over-cooked, hard crust on the outside, and dark brown throughout and therefore tough and unappetizing. I complained to the staff, who were all very polite and offered me alternatives and the apologies of the chef. I declined an alternative or anything else. The cost of the duck was taken off the bill without me asking.
We enjoyed the ambience, not too expensive. We ate from the prestige menu and all the food was of a good standard. We drank the Merlot and fresh mint tea, but resisted deserts. It was reasonably busy on a Th evening with a very mixed crowd. We would come again
My husband and I are regulars at Cotes in Muswell Hill but this time was the best. The manager whom we have never met before was charming and helpful and two other members of staff most pleasant and efficient. The three course meal we had and wine were excellent. Looking forward to our next visit
Attractive restaurant with well spaced tables. Welcoming and friendly staff. Very good choice of food which was delicious and authentic. Easy to book table on line.
Great value brunch; well-cooked and good ingredients. Staff seemed over busy and was hard to get their attention at times. They seemed a little stressed, don’t know if they were understaffed?
We had a pleasant time at Le Cote Restaurant in Muswell Hill last Saturday, the staff were very attentive & approachable. Tables were very well laid out & a good vibe. Very good choice of starter & main courses. I had the Breton half Chicken which was delicious & moist, & my wife had the fish pie which she told me she enjoyed. I am sorry to say that deserts at all the Le Cote restaurants need to improve. There needs to proper French classics & Patisseries as the current desert menu is bland & very boring.
Attentive, timely, friendly service, Our party of four all enjoyed their food and two bottles of Saumur. We all agreed that Cote , Muswell Hill was a good venue in which to socialise and dine at a fair price.
Very good atmosphere as usual. Lovely waitress friendly and helpful and efficient. Three courses of food eaten all of which were excellent. Very good wines too
Comfortable ambience and solid service Set menus during the week and weekend breakfasts offer a good deal
We arrived to find the restaurant had no running water and that we could not eat there. Not their fault - my issue was why we weren’t contacted before walking there. We went to the Real Greek across the road - much better service.
The service was prompt, helpful and friendly . A window seat reserved for us as requested. Food was much enjoyed by us and our New Zealand guests.
Excellent service. Food very palatable and tasty. Would revisit many times. Staff friendly, polite and professional. Would recommend your restaurant to friends and family. Thank you.
Wonderful food, great service, always a good experience with consistent good quality food - will always recommend Cotes as a place to dine with confidence!
Nice place but very busy and staff were unable to cope. Long wait for food and a salad was missing some of the ingredients shown on the menu. Staff apologetic but I'd avoid coming at a busy time again
