We all enjoyed the evening, very friendly and efficient food as always very good Complimentary cocktails a great touch See yo again soon
Six stars for the food which was as good as ever, none for the service which was terrible from the start. Plates removed before all of our party had finished a course, wrong cutlery, my wife handed an iPad so she could select a sauce for her steak, and a generally surly and unfriendly attitude. It seems we weren’t alone as we witnessed the table next to us losing their temper with the waiter and asking to see the manager. An entertaining night out, for all the wrong reasons...
You can wait a longtime to be served but then the second course arrives immediately after. Serviceisakways a iffy with timing0
Very convenient location for our party (5 people). We were fortunate in that we booked an early lunchtime slot 12:15 as it became very busy later on. One of our party is vegetarian and found it difficult to make a choice from the lunch menu; she had Eggs Benedict both as a Starter and Main. After we finished our meal I noticed in the very small print that vegan and vegetarian alternatives were available. Perhaps more prominence could be given on the menu or the waiter/waitress could bring this to diners' attention.
Although very busy service was good and food (as always ) was hot and fresh. Our blood orange martini was delicious.
Great food. Great service. Best chain in london. Always good
Overall an excellent dining experience except it was very noisy yesterday because there was a large group booking.
Not up to Cote's usual standard. I ordered chicken parmentier with smoky bacon and mushrooms. There was no bacon and no mushrooms - just the potato on top of the chicken and some leeks in a cheesy sauce. I kept eating in the hope of finding the missing ingredients but they weren't there. Modest compensation was offered and taken, but that misses the point, doesn't it. Shape up Cote.
Very good service, delicious food, lovely atmosphere - great way to start a birthday. PS our waitress was new and charming.
Great atmosphere, value for money, staff unappreciative of our attempts at speaking french, as they couldn’t either
Excellent meal, we had the Cote de Beouf and it was perfectly medium rare. Our service was excellent considering they had a full house, our waitress was super attentive which made the evening. We had many Vday meal dissapointments in Gaucho/M/Emile/ and other steak/decent restaurants before but I think we are onto a new tradition dining here where the quality isn't compromised.
Always nice food, wonderful staff and great service. Côte never disappoints
Our experience has always been an ejoyable one whenever my bestie and I go to Côtes in Marylebone. The service and the food are always tasty and attentive. Hopefully next time though, if I order the Pork Belly, that the chef makes the fat a bit more crispier, and the salad made with less dressing. In all another satified and happy customer!
Lunch for four. We were served by warm, friendly people, who showed an interest in seeing that were were satisfied. The food was excellent - as it always is at Côte - and good value, too. The house red is a good choice for a winter's day.
The food was nice but we were limited to a set menu which only had one vegetarian choice as a main which was disappointing. The service was fine, the female manager made a real effort to give good service however other staff members weren’t very attentive. This is my second time of visiting this cote. The first time I complained as the service and food were bad. Cote handled this very well and sent me a lovely letter and voucher of apology. Whilst today was an improvement I probably wouldn’t return again.
I arrived to a chaotic welcome with fraught staff trying to seat customers although there were plenty of tables. My table was ready which was great and we had good service and enjoyed our food very much. I visited with my 9 month old baby and unfortunately the changing facilities were downstairs and there was no lift. I had to leave my buggy upstairs to change her. When I found the changing table it was behind the entrance door to the loos and so as I was standing to change my baby I was smacked on the back by other people entering the loos which was very unpleasant.
So pleased we booked always a good idea at Côte as they are busy whenever we visit fab lunch today plus a February martini on the house 😊
The food was nice & the service was friendly & flexible. The staff were happy to serve my main course at the same time as my friend had their starters.
As usual Super food Service fun and efficient Served by a french girl
Food and drinks were good and well presented. Individual members of waiting staff were ok but overall the team seemed stretched even at 4.15pm on a Saturday. It felt a bit unprofessional
lovely meal, polite efficient service and pleaseant atmosphere. This was our second family gathering here, the first was impressive enough that we came back. Will definately return again.
We had the table we particularly wanted even though they were very full. Very good service from charming waitress. still amazing value for good food.
Perfect venue for a large gathering. Food was just right and staff couldn’t do enough to please
Great central location. Great menu and food served quickly and was delicious. Staff were excellent. The only negative was a very rowdy group of eight which at times made it impossible to hear each other within our party. We were sat in the smaller part of the restaurant and therefore the larger noisy people made more of an impact.
I took my family here for breakfast, and we were well looked after, the food was good, and the service cheerful as usual.
I requested a booth as a regular customer and was told there were none available in spite of bookiong one week in advance. The managaress is over familiar. The young french waitress was excellent.
We hand a very large table of 15 at Marylebone. The service and attention was excellent. Thank you!
Asked for a table in the front of restaurant and was given table in the back of restaurant! No front tables had been reserved for us.
As usual we enjoyed excellent food and wine and helpful service.
We were incorrectly charged for a promotional bottle of wine which we were supposed to receive free. The waitress dropped wine glasses over my back too.
I have dined at cote many times in different branches and can honestly say i have always enjoyed the meals chosen wouldn't hesitate to recommend
Lovely welcoming spacious place with attentive waiters and good food!
There were 6 of us on Friday 24th January 6.45pm. The restaurant was very busy, which was good to see. The waitress was rather flustered, she seemed to be the only one serving in the back part of the restaurant. After 35 minutes nothing much had happened, we had water and ordered our wine. This eventually arrived. We ordered starters and mains. Two of us ordered Moules, one portion was nearly all empty shells and my Moules were like jelly., They were returned, Different starters were ordered and arrived. The mains came without any undue delay but all the plates were cold and all the food was luke warm. The rib eye steaks were ok but no better. We had a voucher which had been e mailed to be by Cote, although nobody at the restaurant seemed to know anything about this. Anyway the manager decided in the end that it could not be used in this particular restaurant. The bill arrived and it was good that we had been given a goodwill discount of £13. I have used Cote many times previously but on this occasion felt that your service and food fell well below your normal standards and certainly well below my expectations.
Our time in Marylebone was great, food was good, service was good and also the atmosphere
Poor quality food which was super over priced! Mussels were cold and smaller than a finger nail / could learn a lot from fancy crab suppliers!
Cote do it again. Consistently great value, quality and service.
We had a most enjoyable evening, the food and staff were excellent and a great improvement from the week before.
The food over 3 courses was well prepared, very tasty and well cooked. Good value for money with the option of several different menus. The ambience of the restaurant was pleasing and the only downside was the fact that the staff could have been more friendly.
Everything about this restaurant is just great! I would definitely recommend.
Friendly staff and good food. We would have preferred a little longer between courses so perhaps you could ask the customers how long they want to wait for the next course.
Charming young waitress. Unfortunately a very noisy group at nearby table made conversation difficult.
For me, COTE will always be my first choice if I am seeking the guarantee of modern french grub (I am French!) at fair prices. The hospitality is always good, with very very very few exceptions and COTE does exactly what it says on the tin. (Except that it is fresh- If and even it is not, it tastes like it is). So: QUOI demander de Plus?
Loved the personal and professional service! I'd wish you'd add some soft furnishings as the noise level can get counterproductive most evenings.
We had to wait a long time to get served after being seated and to pay the bill at the end. I booked dinner as I had a voucher to get a complimentary free cocktail, but they did not have the ingredients to make it!
Excellent food (except for the steak). Waitress was first class. Nice ambience. Steak was not the best we’ve had at Cote - it was rubbery in texture. Hence only 5 stars given! Restaurant a little noisy.
We loved the food but the waitress was a bit brisk with her manner .
Good food done simply. A good mix of food and wine. Lost a star only because there were no extra sauces available for one of our groups dish.
This was a double celebration lunch for my 2 daughters. The food was excellent, the staff at Côte Marylebone were wonderful, & made the occasion feel very special.
Excellent evening, great food, staff were brilliant especially the waitress who served us. Is she really French or maybe a Geordie with an uncanny ability to speak French with realistic accent??? (Only kidding - she was brilliant)
Good service , food and wine as expected. Overall easy option for a pleasant, affordable meal. Pre-booked which was easy online
