Amazing birthday lunch for my mum's 85th ,we continue to enjoy this fantastic venue in a lovely setting!

We have previously eaten here numerous times in the past before and had fantastic meals., however on this occasion not so. Wrong items served up on plates, items missed from the plate when advertised on menu, jams requested to go on toast and never bought out, wrong juices served. However small these issues may sound spoil the experience. Our waitress managed to proactively recover the situation and the manager on shift gave good service recovery which will not deter is from coming back in the future.

Booked a table for 7,30, arrived at 7.00 and given table immediately Food good and good value Only down didn’t have same staff and delivery of desert and coffee slower

Enjoyed my evening apart from the noise levels. You need to put some sound absorption into your restaurants - curtains, carpets or similar. It becomes too noisy without and hard to hear, which only increases the noise when you end up shouting at one another.

Delicious food and drink and wonderful service. Great garden to sit in on a summers night.

My friend and I enjoyed a thoroughly delicious lunch (pork belly) and chocolate mousse (not overly sweet and a light airy texture) at Côte Marlow recently. I have knocked off one star as we both felt the automatic 12% service charge was rather steep. When it is an automatic addition, few customers would wish to face the embarrassment of questioning it and ruining the cheery atmosphere having enjoyed a delicious meal.

Lovely food from the mains from the August special menu. The elder guest, whom adores the creme brûlée, was not impressed with the lemon and raspberry version! Lovely staff as usual.

enjoyed the meal the atmosphere, service was good & our choice (lamb) proved to be an excellent main course. The only comment the wine ,we had a glass each ,one small ,one large of Merlot proved we thought to be rather expensive . However it did not spoil the evening & we will no doubt visit again soon. Oh yes the staff were welcoming ,polite & made us very welcome.

We had a great evening the food and staff were excellent couldn’t fault it at all. The only problem was we had to wait more than an hour between courses but luckily for us we were with great company.

Good food, as usual. Service was good, but being a busy Saturday evening, there was quite a wait for each course. We were not in a rush so this wasn’t a problem but if time had been an issue then it would have been difficult. We will come again but maybe not at a weekend.

Have dined with Cote several times. The service on this occasion was, as usual, excellent, but the main courses, both mine and my wife’s, were disappointing

Very enjoyable visit have dined at this restaurant several times definitely value for money. Staft always very pleasant and welcoming.

On the hottest day of the year I found it very puzzling that the management thought it acceptable to turn OFF the air con. if we got too cold inside(??) we would be ill when we left? The logic defies belief, one of our reasons for booking was because the air con in the past was very welcome.

We have been using Cote in Marlow on a regular basis from the day it opened. We eat out in Marlow a lot – at least once a week and normally we are between 4 and 10 people. While other Marlow restaurants may come and go we have always found Cote to be the reliable choice. Today we booked a table outside, and that seems to have been a major mistake: we were largely ignored from the time we took our seats; the doors were locked against us, and the only way we could get attention from the staff was to either go through the kitchen, or leave by the side gate, and come back in through the front door. There were some wasps in the garden, but not enough to be a problem, but if the restaurant had decided that they did not want to serve in the garden they should have asked us if we would be happy to relocate indoors and closed the garden. Having taken our seats outside, it took forever for anyone to take our order – in fact they only did so when two of our party went back into the restaurant to draw attention to the fact that we were there: one went out the side gate to do this, but the other was able to draw attention to his presence through the glass door and was allowed inside. Having eventually ordered our food it then took an hour for the main courses to arrive. To put that into context, we would normally expect to be in and out in less than an hour. The food when it arrived was then poor: a main course salmon dish was measly in proportion; the two croque monsieurs were virtually inedible; and my half Breton chicken was overcooked to the point of being like shoe leather. We understand the problems of staffing a restaurant, particularly in a town like Marlow, but this was the worst food that we have had in Cote since it opened. Given the time it had taken for the main courses to arrive I asked for the bill as soon as they did. The bill then took some time to arrive, so I told the waiter immediately that I was ready to pay, whereupon he disappeared completely. Eventually we gave up waiting: obviously we could not get back into the restaurant because we had been locked out, so I left my business card with the bill and was about to walk out through the side gate, when someone appeared and graciously agreed to take our money. To put this into context, as I said we eat out in Marlow a lot and we expect to be treated properly, and there are literally restaurants in the town which have been “blackballed” because they have failed us in one way or another. I would like to use Cote again in the future (we don’t like Bill’s and the Botanist has gone downhill), but it will be difficult to persuade people to return to Cote unless there is a determined effort to get things back on track

Fabulous meal again at this restaurant. Food was hot and delicious. The tuna was cooked just as I had asked and service was excellent.

Food and service excellent as usual. However we had free bottle of wine voucher but you charged for it. It was removed without question when I pointed this out. This is not the first time this has happened.

Have visited two days in a row. Excellent food. Large portions. Lovely staff (all very friendly and helpful). Love the fact that the place has some trained staff when it comes to allergies etc. Will return soon!

I love the monthly three course menu for£13.95. It’s always such good value and is hard to beat. The haddock fishcakes were fantastic. The service very slick and friendly.

We arrived at reception and waited some considerable time before being greeted with “sit where you want” no good evening etc. The service after this was extremely good. My husbands food was very good as was my starter, my main course, Chicken and Walnut Salad however was not as good as the one I’d had previously in the Windsor Cotè. Far too much lettuce and no avocado, the staff and manager dealt with the issue beautifully, we will return in the very near future. One of our favourite restaurants in Marlow!

Excellent. The staff were really good led by an excellent manager who was attentive and made sure the staff were well looked after as well as the customers. Lovely food and reasonable price - good value.
