Great food. Pre theatre menu was fantastic value for money. Good wine list at reasonable prices. Waiting staff were really pleasant. Would recommend to a friend.

Well booked pre theatre meal for 4 .....so restaurant knew in advance for our circumstancewith request for set menu. We got through 2 courses without hitch and nicely served food......but sweet course seemed to wait for ever and ever.....so much so were the only ones in restaurant bar an odd table of diners.. We had to cancel our sweet with a waiter.... as we were wanting to move on for our planned evening out and pressed for time now on the minutes... Although the Manageress was keen to make amends and offer a free sweet on a future visit ....the excuse given that ordering apple crumble takes a whole 8 minutes to bake....after a wait of over 4 times that length and people seated after us on either side of us had eaten their sweets and well left the restaurant....that excuse did not really fit with us? After our comments she suggested we tell them on dining to tell them when pressed for them if pressed for time? Over 1hour and 30 mins to serve a 3 course set menu is more than ample time to serve it and eat it without a rush in our eyes.... Disappointing service and weak excuses by staff...have eaten at this establishment many times and cannot now believe that before being seated you have to start meal on wrong foot asking staff to be snappy with prompt service?

We always return to Cote due to it's amazing food, service and atmosphere. The staff are polite, knowledgeable and show a real passion. Top quality, delicious food every time.

Ate here for my partner's birthday on the 21st April. Fabulous food and fabulous service. We had the pre-theatre menu which was such good value @ £12.95 for 3 courses! I would definitely recommend without any hesitation. Thanks for a lovely evening

Efficient friendly staff serving well presented dishes. Good value for money. Have visited both restaurants in Liverpool and Manchester. Have never been disappointed. Will certainly recommend to friends.

Fantastic service, the area between tables was perfect. Not too close but close enough to feel intimate. Fantastic glutin free food. The only thing I think it needs is a waiting area!

Lovely little restaurant with great lighting and atmosphere. This was my third visit and it never disappoints. The pre theatre menu is a real winner with good choice and value for money. Staff are all really friendly and attentive. No negative points at all.

The restautant was lovely and the pre-theatre dinner is just perfect and plenty of food and full of flavours. The staff are extremely pleasant too. Whilst there is a big step into the restaurant the staff are there to help and a disabled access toilet. Can highly recommend!

We had a delicious lunch. The chicken was really good and we had dauphinoise potatoes which were very tasty. The service was excellent so we were able to get back to the office in quick time.

Greeted at door. Taken to a window table which we had requested at booking. They recognised the rewards package that we had booked & pointed out all the options. The 'free' bottle of wine was excellent. Service excellent - they kept coming to check that everything was alright. Food was excellent and good value for money - good choice of starters, mains & sweets

Had a lovely meal last night at Cote Brasserie in Manchester. Chicken Liver Parfait was delicious and Duck Confit was lovely and tasty and crispy as it was supposed to be. My friend enjoyed her calamari which were perfectly cooked but was less keen on her cod wrapped in parma ham as she felt they didn't go well together. We both liked our desserts - Tarte Citron with crème fraiche and raspberries and lemon crème brulee with raspberries. The waiter was really pleasant and friendly and couldn't do enough for us. The only criticism would be that I had to order my second cider twice - I can only assume he didn't hear me the first time or forgot it and that the green salad my companion ordered went to the table next to us by mistake but luckily the recipient realised and passed it over to us. I will definitely be dining there again as the location is central so really convenient for instance for going to the Royal Exchange Theatre afterwards and the décor is pleasing. Sitting by the window also facilitated a bit of people watching as I was facing outwards which is always interesting. Nice ambience too.

Have eaten here many times both a la carte and specials and have always found both food and service to be excellent. However on the last occasion ( 11/4/17) the service was dreadful and the food mediocre. Waited 20 minutes between being seated and our order being taken and no-one available to take payment at the end of our meal. Chicken was dry and lukewarm. Would have liked more water but unable to attract the attention of any waiter. Maybe short staffed on the day but no explanations given. Very disappointed. Hope this was a one-off.

We enjoyed a very good lunch. There was plenty of choice from nibbles, lighter meals if preferred, through to full a la carte dining. Staff were organised and the service was excellent. First visit and will return.

Very quick service, friendly and professional staff. We had the pre-theatre 3 course menu and the food was lovely and very good value for money. Stylish decor and a buzzing atmosphere. Would highly recommend.

Food was pretty decent... did not like the "12.5% discretionary" service charge.. I will not go back because of that.. I don't mind tipping, but when it added to your bill and u have to take it off...it totally gives u an unpleasant ending to your experience..

Lovely atmosphere and an amazing gluten free menu. I was completely spoilt for choice! My only complaint is that the portions are slightly on the small size but I would definitely recommend!

Received a birthday invitation from Cote for my 88th birthday so,having had very satisfactory lunches there previously I accepted the invitation for my wife,son( who came down from Hexham) and myself.Presented on arrival with a Kir and followed by an excellent meal afterwards made for a very pleasant birthday experience.The service was prompt and efficient and that ambience and whole experience impressed my son so much that he searched for a Cote Brasserie restaurant on the internet near Hexham or Newcastle.He found that a venue in Newcastle could be opening.

Menu interesting , staff friendly , good atmosphere extremely good value for money on the pre theatre menu . I will definately be back soon

Lovely meal - brilliant value as always. Advised on arrival that we were on lunch hour and two courses and drinks done in 40 minutes without being rushed. Excellent!
