Excellent lunch for the 4 of us. Bright spacious restaurant, Good service, varied menu, Steaks were full of flavour and the Calamari was just right.

Loved the meal, the setting and the room gave a warm feeling, welcome feeling, enjoyed our meal with you.. the service was really good, and we were spoilt for choice on the food available. Many thanks.

Staff were ok fish was overcooked. Waiter apologised but that was it 😣- not impressed will not return. Thought we would enjoy it cos it is a nice place

We went early after shopping and ate off the Table D'Hote menu, excellent value and beautifully cooked as usual, very friendly staff and an altogether pleasant experience, much better than shopping!

Booked this restaurant as have been to the peterborough one where staff are lovely and hoped it would be the same in Lincoln. Staff were a bit offish in this restaurant. I asked what flavours for the french fries and I was told 'potato flavour' when I asked if they served Parmesan fries/truffle fries I was told 'no, this is a french restaurant' quite abruptly. I took my husband there for his birthday and we were sat under a noisy air conditioning unit, my husband asked could anything be done as it was giving him a headache, he was told it would mean them turning off heating for whole building quite rudely instead of just offering us at first to move, this was offered as an afterthought. Food was good, service not so good cobsidering they put service charge on bill. If they had not have given my husband a free birthday dessert I would not have paid service charge. Don't know if I would go back

Food and service very good. Portions probably just a little on the small side but no real complaints. Very enjoyable experience and will come again.

Always a joy - good environment, cheerful, helpful staff and reliable menu. Used regularly by Breakfast Group -Bailgate U3A because it is such an excellent venue!

Warm ambience around the whole restaurant and excellent food; some of the service was a little slow in places, waited slightly too long between starters and mains and one of my party ate 'alone' as her starter arrived much earlier than everyone elses.

Staff were polite and friendly. Atmosphere welcoming. Food great. Although not many diners (it was Monday) it had the feel of a real French eaterie.

Tasty food, good service, pleasant and helpful staff. We requested a quiet and private table which we received and was excellent for 6 people to chat and hear each other.

Early evening menu excellent value for money. However, we were confused about the wine measures and think that the small glass size for wine is too small. Think you should call the medium glass of wine small. Excellent service and food.

Service was a little slow.although the starters were good, they were just warm rather than hot. My son & I have two very good steaks but my wife's chicken when it came was luke warm - so got sent back to be replaced. It was returned (same dish) simply heated in the microwave. Proble was by then, the accompanying side dish was cold ! To be fair, they didnt charge us for her meal - but we'd rather have paid for something we'd ordered to be served properly !!

The staff, particularly Jorge, were friendly, helpful and fun. They sensed we had limited time and reacted accordingly. The food could have been hotter but we still enjoyed it.

Very good food and service. Only niggle was the semi-circular seating, which was not very comfortable as not easy to lean back on. Otherwise top marks.

We were greeted and then had attentive service throughout . A lovely meal which was great value for money. Will definitely be eating there again.

Great food along with friendly and and helpful staff ( Irene ), the restaurant had a nice buzz with everybody enjoying there evening. The free bottle of Merlot was of nice quality. Look forward to returning again soon

Food and service both generally good. My only complaints with the food would be the breaded calamari should have been hotter and the liquor with my modules frites was very salty. Overall an enjoyable meal.

A nice restaurant, good menu choices and nice, helpful staff. Food is always well prepared and presented although not always as hot as it could be. We like the added touch to this particular Côte of a Bar to allow for pre or post dinner drinks.

A lovely ambience, french feel to the decor and food was as before - excellent. Sweets are rarely the highlight unless at a non chain eatery, however tonight the puds weren't a disappointment. All enjoyed a very pleasant meal, good service and a price that wasn't outrageous. I coughed a bit when I saw the 12.5% "optional" service charge, but when I paid, the change was left for me to leave as a tip rather than assumed to be given which made a change(!). Will return.

We went for breakfast, as usual extremely pleasant and welcoming staff, we had the full English with apple juice and tea,, all very good, well cooked and fresh, really enjoyed it.

I recently had a celebratory birthday lunch with my family at the Cote Restaurant in Lincoln. It was a friendly, welcoming venue in the city centre, with personable waiting staff. The food was well-prepared, well-cooked and well-presented and we all thought that it was very authentic French cuisine. I would certainly recommend it and will be returning before too long.

Lovely evening, sat in an area we hadn't been to before. Chose from the Christmas menu, all delicious.

Service excellent as always. Had a full starter, main course and dessert, all delicious. Particularly enjoyed the complimentary bottle of wine.

Another enjoyable meal in a convivial setting. Staff were as attentive as ever and the food was of the usual high quality. We shall return.

A very nice setting but not a lot of other customers even though it was the weekend - seemed quiet. The duck dish was superb, however they forgot to put black olives in my partners dish and I felt the food was a little overpriced.

We always love going to Cote, Lincoln. Staff are brilliant and friendly. Food is excellent. Good choice on menu. Lovely decor and lighting. First rate restaurant.

Service and food never fails to disappoint. We had the crab mayonnaise starter which was light and yet full of flavour very tasty. The main course was lovely too.

Good food and service in a relaxed atmosphere with hardly any other diners. The lift is still without a part and it has been this way for about 3 months

First the good: - we did the set menu plus wine pairing. It was a very reasonable price and the wine was very good. - starters and mains were pretty good which is always the case - very smart restaurant and good atmosphere - good bread & butter Now the not so good: - the service was not great. This always seem to be the case here. The waiting staff consistently forget to bring something (extra butter in this case) - the “amuse bouche” tasted like leek and potato soup which wasn’t very inspiring - the puddings were really not great. This has always been the case at this restaurant. My wife had chocolate fondant and I had apple tarte tatin. Neither of them looked homemade. Also my wife’s was supposed to have cinnamon ice cream with hers and mine was supposed to have calvados cream. They both came with vanilla ice cream In summary- same experience as normal here. Decent food but average service and pudding. The 12.5% tip that they add on automatically is presumptuous especially given the dodgy service. It’s shame as it could be much better and there’s a big gap in lincoln for a good French bistro

Great service and food. We had a post New Year family celebration and thoroughly enjoyed the attitude of the staff and enjoyed time with our kids.

Always great food and excellent service. We visit here regularly for breakfast as its one of the few places that do Eggs Royal. The place is always clean and tidy and a cut above most.

Came in 2016 brilliant experience unfortunately this year had to ask for the olives and bread and the moules marinier food still good but the service was lacking as we also had to ask for additional drinks which also hasn't gone down too well with our party especially when I recommended Cote.

It was a set menu which unfortunately didn't take pregnant women into consideration with the options provided. Although the menu was slightly modified for me to be able to eat I was still charged full price. Service was very good.

Running out ways to say how great the food, staff, price & atmosphere is at Cotes Lincoln. Yet again another 1st class experience without having to break the bank. Looking forward to the New Years menu

Always excellent, just one point off as not alot to choose off the set menu. What we had was very enjoyable and we'll be back in the new year 😊
