The service here is simply fantastic, the food is delicious- the creme caramel is out of this world. It's just such a great place to go for either a casual brunch or a nice evening meal

Really enjoyable meal as ever but the slight niggle was that the peas served with the beautiful lamb chops were cold! However everything else was as high a standard as ever.

Food was really good very much enjoyed our meals. Sadly this was let down by slow service and it was really difficult to get attention from staff to arrange payment of our bill, or any extra drinks

Lovely food and excellent service as usual. This was a spur of the moment decision to go out for dinner, booked the table on line easily. Cote is one of our favourite restaurants the menu is varied and excellent quality.

The restaurant had a lively atmosphere on a busy Friday evening. The Staff were knowledgable regarding the menu and the service was good. Food really lovely - freshly cooked , piping hot and with great presentation. Good wine list.

Almost perfect, the service and food were excellent. Couldn't have faulted it except the haddock permentier was ovecooked and a bit dry, and there was not enough chocolate sauce with the profiteroles. Otherwise everything was superb.

We eat here regularly and the food is always good quality and the staff are very friendly and helpful. Our only problem today was that there seemed very few staff on (bank holiday) and we struggled when we needed to attract a staff member on a couple of occasions.

We went to Lincoln for our 15th wedding anniversary and chose Cote for dinner there on the day. Started with a very nice glass of champagne and then two tasty main courses followed by the delicious creme caramel. Our waiter vanished for a while but on the whole a fitting occasion.

Whole of ground floor remained empty on a Saturday evening- did not encourage diners in! Staff seemed unhappy and stressed. Food just warm. No complimentary bread - would never happen in a French restaurant. Decor and menu seemed tired and dated.

The service at this restaurant was very poor, we had to wait over an hour for our meal, when it came, none of our party had particularly 'hot' food but we had waited so long that we had no compulsion to send it back. We wont be going back again!

It was ok, the service was good but the food was just mediocre really and it was expensive. It was quiet when we visited so I'd have expected the standard to be really high but it wasn't. Also, the small booth tables for two are tiny and not very comfortable.

Excellent traditional French food, good service. On this occasion the atmosphere was a little lacking as it was a quiet day of the week, but a great overall experience.

We were not rushed, service was very good, food excellent. Sad tomato soup not available nor was the lamb shank which my friend would have chosen. I don't like sourdough bread toasted or not, is there not a better bread which could be served?

Poor selection of tasteless beers. Food OK but filled out with a lot of the basic ingredients such as lentils. Very friendly and efficient Spanish waitress. Object to automatic 12.5% service charge addition which is discreetly added to the bill and can be easily missed, I felt bad not adding my own choice of tip. Wouldn't rush back.

We enjoyed the food. However they seem to have decided we were not getting a desert. After the main course it was a while before the plates were cleared and the desert menu was not offered. Eventually after 20 minutes passed we called over waiter to get menu. Still no hurry to come back for order we then did complain and the desert materialised quickly. As it was my birthday lunch it was a disappointing end especially as restaurant was not busy

Our second visit disappointed by Eggs Benedict starter eaten by two of the party, was very cold and hence dangerous as eggs are traditionally soft poached. My fault should have returned to the kitchen. Other issue was preferred table range not available staff seemed unaware of request Otherwise excellent service, ambience and all other food terrific. This experience will not deter us from visiting again, too good to miss.

Warm welcome from the staff, we chose the 10 th Birthday menu which included a glass of champagne - very nice too. We all chose different dishes and all were delicious, the calamari here is without a doubt the best I've had . Service and atmosphere all good, all over in all a very special evening.

Despite not being very busy, the waiting staff were not awfully attentive. (Waited a while for order to be taken and had to repeat request for additional glass of wine). One meal not cooked as described but replaced promptly.

A pre-graduation meal, we had a prix fixe style meal, great value, washed down with some 'celebratory' wine off an interesting wine list! Helpful friendly & attentive staff, good service & well presented food! 4 out of 5 as 5 would be another level which Cote is not attempting to provide....so effectively full marks! Would definitely go back

This was our first visit and so we were apprehensive, regardless of numerous good reviews, there was no need. The restaurant had an air of a well run establishment all your staff were well trained, knowledgeable about the procedures, some unique, of serving and looking after your customers. The menu was very balanced between the three courses on offer, we all had different meals and all were voted excellent. The wine list was comprehensive without being offensive and the wine recommended in the 'September Specials' menu was superb, as was the food, a real Duck Confit, rare in this country. Price was right, all in all a very big hit.

Myself and two friends dined at this establishment on Tuesday 29th August. We ordered from the set menu (three courses for £12.95 weekdays 12-7pm). The restaurant was relatively quiet but this wasn't surprising given the day of the week. There were a few tables occupied but we were given the choice of where to sit. The restaurant was nice and airy. Even thou the menu were opted for was a special deal I felt that there was plenty of choice. We were given a good amount of time to peruse the menu and make our choices. I opted for the cod croquettes for my starter, belly pork on a bed of mash for main and crumble for my dessert. All the food was cooked well and I especially enjoyed my main. My dining experience at Cote was excellent throughout from the service, the food and the ambience. I would most definately dine here again
