Really tasty and lovely food... when it finally arrived...!!! 2 hrs for a simple light from the light 3 course set lunch menu is completely unacceptable.... especially when combined with such poor overall customer service, that comprised of too many issues to mention here. I'm extremely disappointed as it was the first opportunity I'd had to see my elderly mum this year and take her out to lunch.
Excellent food and service. Attentive and efficient waiting staff, who were also friendly. Really very exceptional, agreed by all of our group of 4 - we will be coming back soon.
Busy and noisy restaurant by the Thames; would have good views on a fine day. Good service. Extensive menu, but food is very average. Good wine list - we had a good St Emilion
Visited today for breakfast. Service for hot drinks was slow (20 minutes for tea and coffee and we had to chase them). However the breakfast itself was very good. I had the French breakfast and the Black Pudding was one of the best I've tasted.
Very friendly atmosphere. Food good but a bit disappointed with the Chablis. The vegetarian selection was quite limited so it would be great to have a more varied selection with some dishes no carbs.
Went for he Early Bitd menu (before 7pm). Was excellent value with a great choice of dishes, reasonably priced wine and efficient service. Have been before and will certainly go again!
A bit too relaxed on the service today too many people serving us. Quality of food was excellent as usual today. Nice to have Kia Royal to celebrate your 10th birthday
very busy so glad i booked a table beforehand. service was slow but to be expected with the covers they had. food from new vegetarian menu brilliant and free bottle of wine very welcome.
Setting is lovely but service was average. Food good but didn't do quite what I asked for so a little disappointing. We'd to work on their customer service.
The burger was over cooked, sparkling wine was warm. No soap in gents toilet, after mentioning twice still non, no wifi connection, I was told there is a problem with wifi, but service was good, friendly.
Just been to Cote in Kingston with a friend for my birthday. We were greeted by a complementary kir royale on arrivaI 🍾 I had the crab cakes and the poulet grillee and thoroughly enyoyed both 😃and my friend had the prawns and the half chicken which also looked delicious! Staff were friendly and helpful and the atmosphere felt great. We wll definately come again hopefully before my next birthday.... now who do I know with a birthday coming up ? !!😜
Lovely food. Staff attentive without being intrusive. My gluten free menu had plenty of choices. We have been to Cote Brassiere in Kingston many times and always enjoyed the food and atmosphere..
Over noisy and too dark to be able to read the menu...service a little slow, and food could have been warmer. But,steak cooked correctly, others seemed happy with their choices, so may try it again say midweek when not so busy
Another meal at Cote, another excellent meal. We opted for a brunch setting for father's day and they didn't disappoint as usual. Lovely meal all round and such terrific value. Happy to return time and time again.
We had a lovely lunch and excellent food. Got to sit in the area we requested. Thank you! Would recommend Cote Kingston as a good venue.
Good attentive and welcoming, helpful staff providing consistently excellent food in a riverside setting on a beautiful warm June evening. What more could you want?
We are regulars here in the summer, service and food are always amazing and prices are reasonable! A stroll along the river afterwards to walk it all off is ideal ;-) Highly recommend!
Father's Day, understandably busy waited a while for food. Didn't complain but apologetic manager who gave us totally free brunch. Excellent customer service, thank you
Excellent service and food the restaurant is in a very good position on the river the prices good and the set meal I s very good value
Lovely food and seats outside on the river. Helpful and fun staff. I would come again for sure. I very much enjoyed the food which was well cooked and good value for money
Visited Cote Kingston yesterday for lunch. Despite it being very busy, we got an outside table overlooking the river. The staff were very attentive and charming and the service was very good, as was the food. Will certainly be visiting again in the near future.
Beautiful location no doubt, but the waiting time was a bit long.We get a compliimentary discount though for that wich is good sign.Overall i think it's worth to go...
Always consistently good food, drink and atmosphere! Would definitely recommend and visit again soon. The early evening and weekend menus offer great value for money.
We always went for Father's Day lunch. However , this year as we have a grand daughter and to fit in with her sleeps, brunch was a plan. Well done Cote Kingston. Excellent.
Very good lunch and given table that we had requested. We were very pleased with the service - our waitress was delightful. Good service although very busy. Top marks!
Service was terrible! There were plenty of staff around the restaurant but they were too busy standing around speaking to eachother. The restaurant was not busy enough for the delays we had.
Consistently good food food served at this restaurant whichever branch you decide to visit. The one in Kingston is perfectly placed with a riverfront location
The food is always good and good value for money. Service is good and friendly tbough busy. Needed to eat earlier than reservation and it was no problem.
Good consistency from a good chain restaurant. As always the food is fresh and the service, although a little slow this time., was good. See you soon.
Pros: riverside location, creme caramel is as usual great Cons: the lead waitress/manager seems to be friendly to certain customer profiles, both tuna pissaladiere and chicken/walnut salad were v salty
I had a lovely evening, a delicious meal and the staff were attentive and helpful. We also had a complementary glass of Kir Royale, which was a bonus. Highly recommended.
Good food, friendly staff and buzzing atmosphere, and we enjoyed our free Kir Royales. It was also extremely hot weather so kudos to the staff for remaining calm!
It took a while to secure a table outside - but we managed in the end. Service was initially very slow as they were very busy and our first drinks took a while to arrive. However, after that it improved and the waiting staff were very friendly. I ordered the "dark chocolate mousse" which was sickly sweet & not very dark but other than that, I enjoyed my main course - the salmon was moist and perfectly cooked.
They seated us quickly but then after waiting for ages we had to ask for someone to take our order. It was father's Day so maybe they were busier than usual? Food was lovely but service was a slow.
Well cooked food and outside seating on the terrace overlooking the river. Full breakfast, tea/coffee, juice all for 9.95 per person - excellent value. Great start to the day
Great breakfast deal (well brunch really). Good quality well cooked food in an idyllic location by the River Thames. Friendly and efficient staff. Highly recommend this venue.
Lovely food and great location on the river in Kingston. The waiter charged us for the free glasses of Kier royale in error so good job we checked the bill !
Nibbles did not arrive in good time, we had to chase for them, and then they arrived just before the starters arrived. My starter was a bit over dry. The remainder of the food was very good. Service fell below their usual high standard, even though the restaurant was far from busy. Definitely a little disappointing.
I visited on the evening of 13/6/17 and at lunchtime on 14/6/17. On both occasions the service (both food (long time arriving) and waiter e.g. waiting for order to be taken, plates to be taken away, dessert and coffee order to be taken) was VERY slow. Portions were not generous by any means and in fact my cherry tomato salad was pitiful. On the Tuesday evening my starter of asparagus did not arrive with the other starters and I had to ask for it. Similarly the side of French beans did not arrive with the main course and I had to ask for it. Both these items were deducted from the bill (without me asking) but something seemed to be going wrong in the kitchen. A shame as I like to take friends there to introduce them to the Cote experience and on these two occasions I was disappointed and felt let down.
Whilst a chain restaurant with a menu available at each outlet that is the same, surprisingly the food presentation and service is excellent. Always meets expectations, an excellent repast this lunchtime.
Very slow service...waited 20 minutes just for the water! Had to catch the eye of any waiter to be served. My grandson ordered ice cream for dessert which took some time to arrive, not helped by sitting on a tray held by kitchen(?) staff for several minutes waiting for 'service' staff to bring it to table. It was only when she saw that I was aware of the situation that she brought it herself, with somewhat bad grace I would say. Shame, as food is quite good.
Great time with friends. Really good value for money with the June special for a three course meal. Good service and food presentation. Would recommend the peach crumble!
An excellent meal, and a superb location. The food was fresh and flavoursome. Service was very attentive despite being very busy. Definitely worth a visit.
As usual, the meal was super, although the waiter had to have two goes at trying to get the drinks order correct. Eventually he cracked it.
Shockingly poor service - dirty cutlery sticky table, glasses arrived covered in wine. Rib rye was more like rump. Frankly not very good at all. Needs to sharpen its act considerably
Lovely meal on Friday night with good service. Only disappointment was the dessert; crepes, which tasted/looked like they had been reheated and were like rubber.
Good food, but we got charged for the 'free' kir royales .Although this mistake was corrected without fuss Cote should be aware of its own offers!
We were warmly welcomed by the restaurant manager who wished my father a very happy birthday. All the staff were extremely attentive and our meal was not only extremely tasty the service we received was very efficient and friendly. The atmosphere was very relaxed and therefore we had a very enjoyable evening.
Ejoyable meal, good wine and atmosphere. The staff were excellent. Really lovely setting near the river, a relaxing place to sit and watch the world go by
Food was amazing, great service , staff were friendly - especially who I assume was the manager. I will definitely be returning very soon :)
