Côte Kingston

Lovely lunch with old school friends. Charming waitress with Prada glasses. We had the special lunch menu: steak, chicken and moules marinieres. All very good as usual. Creme caramel to finish was slightly curdled, but it is usually excellent so would still order it another time. Great food, great staff, great value.

We had an excellent evening and thoroughly enjoyed our dinner. Much appreciated management's concern over the delay in serving our meals - we were so busy chatting that we hadn't noticed!

Use quality Cotè food and service with a lovely river front setting. Outside seating is available to take advantage of the views. Staff are knowledgeable and friendly.

Good food and excellent service as usual. Ten year old granddaughter was very impressed. It was her first visit and one of many from now on.

As the restaurant was so busy we were expecting a slow service but, as usual with Cotes, service was impeccable and the food was absolutely perfect. We introduced friends to Cotes for the first time who were just as impressed. Many thanks to all the staff.

Cote in Kingston is the perfect place to meet up with friends. Last night we both enjoyed good food, service and sat at table by window.... couldn't have asked for better venue.

Cote delivers as always - excellent food at sensible prices, you never run out of choices. A special thank you to the Kingston team on our Golden Wedding celebration weekend.

A big thank you to all the staff at Kingston, you all went out of your way to make my daughter's 50th special. All members of staff were very friendly and courteous. The food was lovely and very good value. We will definitely be back for another visit.

Very busy and very noisy - so hard to hear conversation with fellow guests. Service not quite so good as it was so busy. Food good as always but enjoyment spoiled by noise levels.

Very busy at lunchtime and service was not up to usual standard. Problem seemed to be in the kitchen - not the actual waiting staff. Food was good though

Nice location but inside a bit cramped with tables too close. Prawn gratin starter effectively a few prawns in thick tomato soup, yet not served with bread - or a spoon. Pork belly good, but came with soft skin instead of the crackling served on each occasion previously at other Cotes. The only rose wine available by the glass was very dry and unpleasant, despite being described by waitress as medium dry prior to ordering. Overall the experience was disappointing and not up to the standard of dining at other Cotes.

Lovely outside table with view of the river. Scrambled egg and smoked salmon delicious but unfortunately the vegetarian sausages included in the 'vegetarian breakfast' had run out and the waitress offered fish instead! Maybe a little more training needed for the waiting staff on what vegetarian actually means!!

Although it was a very busy evening due to the good weather, the staff were all very efficient and the whole experience was most enjoyable. We were a party of 11 including 5 children and the food was really good and served simultaneously so that no-one had to wait. Our waiter "Julio" was tremendous and nothing was too much trouble. We will be back again soon!

Helpful and efficient staff. Which show an interest in there customers and are attentive to there customers needs. I am a frequent visitor and so far have never had a bad experience.

consistently good, we almost always have a good experience but if something is wrong they are put it right instantly.Perfect location on the river on warm day.

The setting was lovely regeneration get near the water and with outside seating. The food was great and the wine too, attentive and friendly staff.

Overall the food quality is maintained. However small omissions from the menu disappoint. Crab mayonnaise. However cod goujons have been reduced to starter status in quantity but mains price point. Now feel cheated.

This isn't the best Cote I have visited. Wimbledon Village is by far my favourite. It was very busy and my melon starter had a bad spot. I nentioned this but was just met with a smile. Apart from that the rest was fine but we had to wait ages for our coffee and the bill.

Cote is an up market fast food restaurant. The food is good, offering a wide range of dishes and the service is speedy. The Kingston Cote is in a lovely location by the river and is always very busy. Overall good value for money

As ever, service was excellent and lovely food. We are regular visitors to Cote and see staff come and go. They are always pleasant good at their job.

Food good, service good, pleasant staff. I hope the standards are maintained. My friends fish was not as good as the same dish I had last time, but overall the meal was good.

Two of our party were vegan when we arrived we were told to discuss with our waiter/waitress, unfortunately they did not understand the requirements, for a normal meal he food was very good.

Food was very good and the restaurant has a lovely outside space on the river. One of the main courses was slightly burnt but they corrected this and did not charge for it

Went for he Early Bitd menu (before 7pm). Was excellent value with a great choice of dishes, reasonably priced wine and efficient service. Have been before and will certainly go again!

Busy and noisy restaurant by the Thames; would have good views on a fine day. Good service. Extensive menu, but food is very average. Good wine list - we had a good St Emilion

I am a fan of Cote and find that it is consistently good. I often have their rib-eye steak which is excellent quality and value. On my latest visit I tried the veal escalope which I would only rate as OK (not thin enough and under-seasoned). The service was a bit slow, surprising as the restaurant was only half-full. While this sounds a bit negative, it's only because I've rated it 5 rather than the usual 6. I will definitely continue to visit Cote regularly. PS The Kingston branch has the advantage of a great location right by the river, with outside tables available.

Good food great staff. The only problem was burnt toast with my wife's starter, this was replaced quickly by unburnt but cold toast which had obviously been lying around for some time. Toast should be warm, at least!

Visited today for breakfast. Service for hot drinks was slow (20 minutes for tea and coffee and we had to chase them). However the breakfast itself was very good. I had the French breakfast and the Black Pudding was one of the best I've tasted.

Very friendly atmosphere. Food good but a bit disappointed with the Chablis. The vegetarian selection was quite limited so it would be great to have a more varied selection with some dishes no carbs.

Never disappoints - quick and friendly service, reasonable menu and child friendly. Location is fantastic. Can be busy at peak so walk ins are difficult but they always try to accommodate

I have visited this restaurant before and have always enjoyed the food the service and the ambiance. It is certainly a restaurant I will return to.

Poor, slow service with orders forgotten. Not happy at all and we were late for the concert we were attending. Not happy with the care taken with food delivery with some food being dropped

Lovely venue and good food at a reasonable price. Took advantage of the weekend specials. Highly recommend the house wine, not too dry but has a nice citrus tone.

The service levels were appalling. Drinks took 10 mins plus, bread and olives arrived after starters, starters arrived to unset table, took forever to find credit card machine to pay. Nice food but a bad day for service

Really tasty and lovely food... when it finally arrived...!!! 2 hrs for a simple light from the light 3 course set lunch menu is completely unacceptable.... especially when combined with such poor overall customer service, that comprised of too many issues to mention here. I'm extremely disappointed as it was the first opportunity I'd had to see my elderly mum this year and take her out to lunch.

We had a very good meal at Cote on Friday night. The food was really excellent, the wine well chosen, and the cost was reasonable. However, the service, although charming, was very, very slow! We were seated and given menus promptly, and a glass of Prosecco arrived inside of 10 minutes. However, 45 minutes later, no-one had come to take our order and our glasses were sadly dry. I had to go and find a member of staff to ask if we could order. There was a similar delay when we had finished our main courses and I had to ask about ordering desserts. When they did arrive, they were borne towards us on a tray, by a young man who then just stood there - desserts tantalisingly within our reach. We asked why he couldn't serve them to us and he told us he had to wait for someone else to serve them (someone more qualified to put bowls on a table? - surely not?!) - maybe this is what was slowing service down! Finally, it took an age to find a member of staff to ask for the bill. As I say, the staff are charming, but it is just terribly slow and the delay tipped over from being slightly amusing first time, to downright irritating the second and third times.

Good value for money the set menu. We met friends we hadn't seen for ages and although they were busy they never hurried us as we sat there for ages.
