Côte Kingston

The staff were quite abrupt and not that friendly. No one checked with our starters or mains if we were happy with them. They forgot about us after we had finished our mains and we had to ask them to clear our plates away so we could order dessert. Overall a bit disappointing.

Four of us for lunch, we all had steak frit excellent except mine rather thick and very chewy. Great service the young waitress ordered another steak which was up to its usual standard. To top it all they kindly discounted our bill which was not expected but great PR

We come every month to try the specials, both cocktails and food, and we are never disappointed! My favourite staples are the tune carpaccio, the duck breast served pink and the creme caramel. The staff are super attentive and obliging, including the manager Charlie. We love this place, see you next month!

Came with a party of 4. Problems with the endive as eggs were cold, soup was tepid not hot and charcuterie was average with cold bread and giant lumps of pulled pork. Too large to spread on bread. Mains were ok. Rose wine didnt taste nice. Staff were friendly and happy to accommodate but our experience wasn't great.

We all enjoyed the food we chose I would have liked a little more bread with the rillette of Salmon. So next time I will order some Otherwise no complaints Maybe a bit noisy at times

I love eating at cote Always good and reliable But last night the veal we asked for well done was not and it took til we have finished our mains to get one that was so it was not great and no recompense offered

Great food and service. I totally recommend and will come again. However I would add to a breakfast menu a boulangerie basket with a variety of confitures and chocolates.

This busy little restaurant on the Thames in Kingston-upon-Thames was a delight. The lunchtime menu is good and decently priced. The service was excellent . We certainly will be repeating our visit.

Friendly efficient delightful staff & a delicious breakfast. It’s always the wonderful continuous standard which is why we frequent Cotes .

Really good food (especially the pork belly) excellent service, particularly as I was recommended a bottle of Chateau Treviac I would not have ordinarily chosen that turned out to be superb. Minor gripe would be the restaurant lighting was too bright for an evening meal. We had a great time, many thanks to everyone.

Food was good however service not so good. They took far too long to take our order and actually had to ask the waitress to take our order in the end. It was as if we were invisible. Clearly not enough staff or perhaps just badly trained

Manager was excellent, provided good seats outside after unfortunately long wait. Staff were attentive but food took 40mins to arrive and was very undercooked. Staff apologised for being super busy but it impacted on our children who got quite “hangry” by the time food arrived.

The usual great food and service but rather busy on this particular day and hence noisy.

There were 45mins wait for the food to come and the mussels were tiny and some dead.... waitress were not too friendly..

Booked at 6, waiting time for food took an hour. When the restaurant wasn’t overly busy for the time. Reason given was that ‘everyone ordered at the same time’ so not overly happy with the service this time

We booked a table and it was ready for us. The manager lady in a black top was excellent, extremely friendly and helpful. She is always so polite and nice :-)

Unfortunately the service was very slow we had to wait over an hour for our food and felt like we were being ignored. The food was not to a good standard the burger I had was very dry and the burger roll was yellow like a brioche which I found very odd. Overall not satisfactory

The seater was a bit stressed when we arrived other than that it was a nice afternoon.

Food was great and also the service but we had to wait an inordinate amount of time for cafetiere coffee as there were not enough pots available. Apparently the glass pots are easily broken and not replaced. I felt very sorry for the staff who clearly are trying to provide good service only to find this is impossible due to lack of equipment. This seems to be an ongoing problem as it happened two weeks ago when I last dined at Kingston and clearly nothing had been done to remedy the problem. Is it beyond the wit of management to obtain some metal cafetieres? I have been using stainless steel pots for years. They are easily obtained from John Lewis just around the corner. They are virtually indestructable and much better suited to frequent use. I eagerly await seeing this has been remedied. Surely your hard working staff and loyal customers are worth the outlay?

The food was good, but the dinning experience was not. The restaurant was for me and my fellow guests extremely noisy. We were unable to hold a conversation and had to wait until we left the restaurant. This was the first time I had visited the Kingston branch and will not be rushing back.

Great venue next to River Thames if weather good eat outside watch the world go by.

Overall experience fine. Food and service in restaurant good. However, beginning of evening spoilt by door person making us wait in a queue outside the restaurant on the tow path when I had booked a table. He then proceeded to take people into the restaurant who hadn't booked before seating us. I queried this and got no reasonable response. I have written to the Manager of the Kingston branch about this a couple of weeks ago and had no response at all! Always had a good experience at Cote in general both here and in Teddington, the other branch myself and my friends frequent. Never been dealt with so rudely before!

Always our favourite place to go. A great welcome, efficient helpful & friendly staff, so well organised. Our food was brought quickly & delicious. We always go back.?

Really good food and service. We had a range of dishes, including Veal, Steak, Sea Bass plus a couple from the Kids menu and everyone enjoyed it so much. Went last year and there's definitely been an improvement
