Côte Kingston

Lovely atmosphere and we were given a very nice table in the window, enjoying the view of the fairy-lighted trees on the terrace and the river beyond. Service was very good, highly professional staff. However I was a little disappointed in the food. The mushroom soup should have been much smoother, and hotter (not cool enough to send back, but I did feel the need to hurry through it before it got completely cold). The ling-cod was uninspiring in its presentation (fish broken up on top of the vegetables), the sauce lacked flavour for me (I couldn't really taste the mustard and leeks coming through), and the seasoning of the dish could have been more refined.

Pre theatre meal for a friend’s birthday - fantastic service and excellent staff. The restaurant was very busy but they coped brilliantly.

A well known menu but sufficiency of choice and never failing to satisfy. Service impeccable and delivered with a smile. Always able to enjoy the meal without feeling rushed.

We were offered a nice table. Staff were attentive, courteous, although as the meal progressed service became slower as the restaurant became busier. Food was excellent, although the soup could have been hotter. Overall a nice meal and good value. Fairly noisy though. Am going again next week to Kingston Cote, so hope for another good experience, perhaps with hotter soup!

I love Cote Bistros - have visited a few but Kingston is my favourite. Good food and friendly staff make for a nice experience on every visit.

My friend and I would normally eat if the early evening menu, but this time the a la carte menu tempted us. However it was yet another good meal with fantastic value for money.

The Kingston Cote is in a lovely location, overlooking a pedestrian walkway, a river and a royal park (OK, and flights out of Heathrow, the curse on most of London). The staff are always both efficient and friendly. There are often deals if you book ahead, e.g. a free cocktail. The menu is varied, but I am a bit of a sucker for the fillet steak because it is invariably cooked pretty much how you ask for it - not as common in London as you might expect.

Brilliant, attentive service, with waitress looking at you as she spoke. We really enjoyed ourselves.

Service was slow after first drink, but expectation was set mains would be 20 minutes at least. You kindly left a £27 bottle of Sauvignon Blanc off the bill but I was honour bound to point out the error and the full price was paid. As a regular patron of Cote (Kingston/Wimbledon/Tedington) it was OK but not an Oscar performance.

Excellent food! The atmosphere was wonderful - had a great time celebrating my birthday.

Excellent as usual - pre-theatre menu very tasty and good value. Lack of soft furnishings means noise level can be disturbing if there are noisy people around!

Excellent from start to finish. Lovely riverside setting so chose a table on the window looking over the Thames at night. Three staff engaged with us during the meal and each was friendly, knowledgeable and welcoming. We both chose from the evening set dinner menu and accepted the waiter's recommendations for extras including an excellent creamed spinach. This meal was a chance for the two of us to catch up so it was a strong plus point for Cote that the background noise was minimal. We could hear each other clearly, and staff kept a discrete eye without constantly trying to top up glasses or checking all was okay. Having eaten at several Cotes this branch is of the highest order and we will be back

An enjoyable visit. My lamb dish was disappointing with half the small meat portion being inedible fat, but our charming waiter salvaged the experience with his care and attention.

Despite some issues with our food we enjoyed our breakfast. The staff quickly rectified any problems and compensated us for the inconvenience on our bill. We will definitely return. Lovely food, great staff. And the mimosas were greatly appreciated!

Went for the burger been wanting to have it for ages but French cuisine always wins me. Had the burger and it was a lot of good quality meat but over done dry and medium heat not hit like it had been waiting a while for my wife's main. I didn't complain but wouldn't order again. However my wife w a s well happy with her beef en croute . And the comp cocktail s were fabulous

We visit Cote quite a lot and it’s a preferred restaurant for us as it is friendly, smart casual, great for lunch or early dinner, excellent value with good service, food and atmosphere. My son says it’s his favourite restaurant.
