As ever at Côte a good and enjoyable lunch. Noise levels a bit uncomfortable.

The food and service were excellent in spite of the restaurant being full on a busy Friday pre Christmas.

Very friendly staff. Service efficient but duck was too rare... was replaced with fresh, better cooked portion.

The mushroom feuillete I ordered did not contain as many mushrooms nor was as well presented or hot as the same dish ordered and enjoyed at Cote Cobham earlier in the week. My friend was very pleased with the number of moules in her portion. However, the restaurant was so noisy it was difficult to have a conversation without shouting but worst of all was the incessant bumping of my chair as both front of house and serving staff went past without apology. I mentioned this to Simon our waiter and he did apologise. I couldn't wait to leave. Please pass this on to the manager.

As requested, we were given a table by the window so my friend could enjoy looking at the River Thames and various crew rowing past. The atmosphere was good and the service excellent: attentive but also giving us space to chat and catch up. Each course was excellent ; the food hot and beautifully served; made all the more enjoyable by some delightful champagne. Thank you. We feel we should make it at least a yearly celebration. Freda

As always the staff were excellent , kind considerate and very helpful. Food was also exceptional. Great value for money. Oh and the toilets were spotless.

Had a nice meal and our waiter was very friendly with a good sense of humour. I would say that the desert buche de Noel was a little too sweet but otherwise fine.

I thought the restaurant was wonderful. The food as always was perfect. Cameron, the manager made us feel very welcome. It was a lovely experience.

Staff and service and Cameron amazing as usual - Cote could really put a couple of Christmas crackers on the tables to make it a touch more festive! summer with the river is always fabulous and winter really cosy - would definitely recommend - the Rabbit terrine everyone loved, the Duck Confit was a huge hit with the staff. Great recommendations with the wines the Macon was delicious and the December special Pinot from Alsace. Kir Royales could do with a little more consistent colour is the only improvement I could suggest !

Excellent food. The waiter who served us was amazing. It has been a long time since the person serving me made as much effort. He also clearly took pride in the job he was doing and it showed. 10 out of 10

You will never beat the Breton fish stew if you love everything seafood , tomatoey with oodles of garlic . It’s delicious . Bit naughty for charging for extra bread without saying it would be an extra charge though !!

I had a problem with the fish I ordered being overcooked, but this was soon rectified by the production of anther plate. The noise levels were bad making conversation difficult.

Despite being a chain and offering consistent fare across its branches, each Cote feels relatively intimate and unique. The Kingston branch has a lovely river view with outside tables, but it is always worthwhile booking - especially if you want to take advantage of the freebies - today a delicious cocktail.

Poor lamb rump meal today. I ordered it to be cooked medium. 1st attempt was still dripping blood and very fatty. I sent it back. Manager who was lacking in charm tried to tell me lamb rump is a fatty cut. It hasn’t been when eaten elsewhere including other Cote branches. It returned having been cooked a bit more but was still very fatty and not medium so back it went again. I’d lost the will to persevere further and my dining companions had almost finished their meals so I declined to order something else. I was offered a desert but declined as I didn’t want one as I hadn’t had a main meal first. Cote is normally reliable but not today. The waitress was very apologetic but apologies don’t feed hungry customers.

Excellent service and the Christmas offer is such good value with the free bottle. The Christmas menu is simply delicious with great choice of food. One of our party didn’t like the starters and it was no trouble to replace with another dish from a la Carte. The mains were excellent and likewise the puddings. The atmosphere of the restaurant just perfect. Overall outstanding all round

I was very disappointed with the starter. The Brie cheese, and onions, which were tasteless.
