Very good, apart from the noise - maybe better soundproofing would help. We will still visit regularly though - it's our 'go to' place when in Kingston.

Left before eating due to atrocious attitude of the lady maitre de - my guest arrived early and asked for a glass of tap water - was advised water was only normally given when order had been taken. Wad begrudgingly given water. We were seated next to a table of 10. Was noisy - when asked to move maitre de was extremfly abrupt and said she would move us if WE saw that a table had become free. Not the manner of service I expect or expect to receive - quote disgraceful - left Restsurant before ordering and went to Browns. Will never return to cote in Kingston ever!!!! Work in the city of london and staff like that with such bad attitude wouldn't last 2 minutes - take note Côte - wrong person for the job....very glad I did not part with my hard earned cash on staff with attitude! Good night and good bye!

This visit was a bit disappointing. We visit Cote quite a lot and are reward members and the service and quality are usually very good value. However on this evening the service was lacking in particular. It was only about half full when we arrived but service was slow. We ordered drinks and asked for water (twice) before it came. Then we ordered, we shared a starter and asked for plates to share which again took more Han one request. Our mains didn't come for nearly an hour after we ordered, even though tables near us came in after us and still got served their mains before we did. We will go back, as this is unusual but in this case it was not up to par.

Nice atmosphere but the staff were not very attentive. The food was delicious and we managed to get a table outside which was lovely. Overall, good.

The standard of food is excellent and the staff are both attentive and efficient making it a very enjoyable experience. Only downside was we were very cold as the door was permanently open and even when the restaurant filled up, it was still chilly.

Great food and nice restaurant, unfortunately we weren't really asked for drinks after we ordered the aperitif and the food is a little bit expensive.

What's not to like?! Polite staff and efficient service, good choice of tasty food from great fixed price 3 course menu, and a complimentary Kir Royale with our theatre ticket there too! Got our Friday night theatre evening off to a wonderful start. Same again tomorrow, hopefully! Thanks Cote Kingston!

Very good food and service in pleasant atmosphere. Table booked for six, which turned out to be rectangular rather than round which unfortunately impeded conversation among all the guests.

A pleasant experience. Prompt service despite the restaurant being very busy indeed. Good choice on Early evening Menu. Soup delicious. Sea bass dish, which we both chose, a little bland, hence 5 rather than 6.

The food was up to the usual high standard. The fixed price lunch menu is such good value. Unfortunately the service was well below that I have experienced before at Cote. The explanation was, not enough staff employed by the company. Staff were apologetic, but it took the edge of an otherwise lovely lunch.

Would be a 6 other than sitting in a draught from aircon. Asked to move tables none available as Mother's Day breakfast. Fast efficient service. Asked for 12.5% service charge to be removed from bill so I could leave a cash tip of greater value. It seems the thing to do in all London restaurants bars and hotels to add the "optional" service charge. I personally think this leaves waiting staff undertipped for good service and overtipped for bad.

The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. The two managers led their team to create a very happy atmosphere. Our waiter, Bernard, was particularly good. I have always had good experiences in all the cotes I've visited. Kingston is esprcially good.

Went for a pre-theatre meal. The place was buzzing but we were greeted warmly and seated without delay. Our order was taken by a friendly waiter and delivered quickly so we could relax and enjoy it without worrying we'd miss the start of the show. Godd food and fair value.

Food was great as it always is but service was very slow and the waiter seemed at a bit of a loss when asked questions about the menu, had to keep going to ask others. In saying that she was very pleasant maybe needed more training or support.

Usually go to Cote in Wimbledon where the service is far better. We wanted to eat quickly, and waited at every stage. Plus the early evening menu portion sizes was far smaller here than in Wimbledon. The terrine was only as thick as a slice of ham! Won't be hurrying back.

Food was lovely but service wasn't great. It wasn't that busy in there and yet we felt the server was rushed off her feet and not very attentive even though there were lots of people working. Meant we had to wait long periods of time for her to come back and take orders and she forgot to bring parts of the meal. As I say though.0, food was lovely and didn't ruin the experience.

The food was lovely but the service was not very good at all. The organisation of the staff seemed to be a bit disorganised with no real allocation of staff to particular areas of the restaurant, it just seemed as if everyone was doing a bit of everything. This meant we had to wait for a considerable amount of time between courses to order our next one or to order more drinks.

Excellent service. We all had the set menu which was as good as usual although I felt portions may have shrunk of late. The Kingston Cote is in a lovely setting by the river and sitting outside in warm weather would be lovely. The Vin de Cotes de Gascogne was a good choice -- grassy and appely -- although at £17+ a little pricey. The crumble was, as ever, delicious.

As always the food and service were excellent. The only reason I have not given the highest rating was that I ordered a medium rare steak and it arrived well done. I had eaten half of the steak before I realised so I did not point this out but I am confident that it would have been replaced if I had done so.

We had a window seat overlooking the river late afternoon and had the 3 course set menu at £12.95 which is excellent value. Friendly, efficient waiters and a very enjoyable meal. The highlight was the creme caramel and watching the sun set.

Your maitre,d was very helpful in rearranging our booking from 1230 to1315. The staff cannot be faulted as they are excellent. However, I have a couple of minor criticisms. 1. The premises are too small making the noise levels almost unbearable. Buy out next door!! 2. My husband tells me that the gents loo seriously needs a modesty wall as the urinal can be seen every time the door is opened. Embarrassing for the bigger chaps. Suggestion--- switch the hinges to reverse the door. Neither of these issues will prevent us from returning on a fortnight basis as we love your food. The other two Saturdays we attend your Horsham restaurant. Regards Julie & David Slatter

Arrived a little early so opted for another table. We were not welcomed with a smile and had to remind the Front Reception of our complimentary wine. The overall service was hurried, we asked for our starters not to be brought to the table until we had finished our bread/olives but they were brought anyway, crowding the table. This hurried service continued throughout, twice we asked the waiting staff to give us more time. We have eaten at Cote Brasserie before and do enjoy the food, today was no exception, but the service spoiled the overall experience. Cliché maybe but a smile does go a long way and is severely lacking at Cote Brasserie, Kingston. It was a fast food experience!
