As usually expected good food in a busy environment. Not a place for a quiet lunch. The wine on offer was of good quality, as always providing it suits one palate. Still good value overall.

A very pleasant experience at Cote Brasserie, the sun was shining by the riverside at Kingston upon Thames. The food once again was excellent and we will be returning.

We go to Cote Brasserie in Kingston often and love it. A great menu and the food is always delicious. Perfect service with friendly staff.

I have been to several Côte restaurants and have always been impressed. This was my first time in the Kingston Côte. I did not feel either the food or service was as good as usual. Waiting staff were polite but it was not easy to get their attention. The artichoke special dish was not cooked enough and not as good as st Cobham Cote a few weeks ago.

Excellent meal and service. Free wine much appreciated thank you. I am disabled and have a shopping trolley and the staff were very considerate in finding me a suitable and comfortable table.

Good service and not rushed. The table wasn't quite ready when we arrived (we were 10 minutes early) so we had to wait outside. Bar area to wait would have been better or a 15 minute table clearing time between sittings. Other than that good service (interuptions during 'cheers' and key conversations became quite comedic).

The decor was inviting and the restaurant temperature comfortable. Too many restaurants have their temperature set too low. I had the calamari to start followed by the beef bourguignon and enjoyed both. The service was friendly and efficient. Overall a very pleasant evening.

Set lunch excellent! Moules and sea bream my choice - love the fish stew a la carte but set lunch ideal for friends' meet up. Great service as always, and Kingston perfect location.

We had a lovely evening with excellent food and service. The French onion soup was very good but I would really recommend the duck served pink with a cherry sauce. It's the third time I have had it as it's so delicious!

Great food, the bread & butter pudding was to die for! Friendly staff. Cotes is one of the best chain restaurants around, the standard is always good which ever one you go to.

As always excellent breakfast, slight criticism is that you can’t choose a bigger size of coffee which is why I only gave a score of 5

This was the sixth Cote restaurant I have visited. Sadly this one didn’t live up to the standards of the other four. The food was as good as ever (always been consistent across all branches), but sadly this time the service was slow and not as friendly... maybe just an off day?

Good atmosphere and service even though the restaurant was very busy. Calamari and crab starters were lovely but my husband said his belly pork was just OK. Overall still a nice meal.

We had the set menu as we were at the theatre. It took ages to get a drink and have our order taken. Our starter of mussels were gritty which we complained about and were taken off the bill. Everyone else who arrived afterwards were then receiving their main course before us so we eventually flagged down a waiter who said it would be 5 mins. There were not enough staff to assist and so the delay meant we then didn’t have dessert as we were going to the theatre. Admittedly we did get money off our bill but in the 5 times we’ve eaten we have never paid for all our food due to a problem or issue. The Kingston restaurant has a chance of being an absolute gem as the quality around is poor but seems he’ll bent on ruining its chances

The food was excellent. Service was mostly good but marred slightly by a couple of errors - beer was ordered for one of our guests but it didn't appear with the rest of the drinks and had to be chased, then we were presented with incorrect dessert menus. Neither mishap was exactly a hanging offence but the restaurant was extremely busy and this all took time to sort out. Otherwise it was a thoroughly enjoyable evening, as always.

The restaurant was extremely busy and was clearly short of staff, which was confirmed by one of the waiters. We had an incredibly long wait for our main course and in fact were offered the dessert menu before this had even arrived which indicated that we had clearly been forgotten. Even after chasing our order up it was still an exceptionally long time and for the two of us to eat two courses after arriving just before 1pm we left there just before 3pm. The food when it did arrive, was of the usual high standard and whilst I understand staffing problems do sometimes occur we both felt that the delay spoiled our lunch somewhat.

We have been to this restaurant several times now as we're in Kingston quite a lot. I am dairy and gluten free which limits me to what I can have but in the past where I have found that if the chef can slightly alter a dish for me he will, and it's always been brilliant. I have had the duck there previously but this time was told that the chef couldn't alter the dish for me so I couldn't have it. The restaurant was really busy so it may be that this was why. However, the food was lovely and we will definitely be back.

Very poor welcome from manageress who was very miserable and abrupt! Asked if we could change my free birthday wine which have done on previous occasions and was told definitely not! Her whole attitude was not in keeping with our previous experience at Cote as have been to your restaurant many times. Food however was very good.

Côte Kingston has never failed to live up to expectation, whatever the time of day. We have been for even just a cup of coffee and been welcomed to same as if we we there for a three course meal. Lots of choice in Kingston but Côte is good!

I have visited Esher Cote twice this week and Kingston today. My Esher visits rated 6. The muscles today were not nearly as good as Esher - they lacked sauce and the creme caramel lacked liquid and caramel.
