Excellent 2 course set menu. My mushroom soup was delicious as was the chicken with saute potatoes and Djoinaise sauce. Very good value at £11.95. The service was polite and efficient and we lingered afterwards over a cup of tea and were not rushed by staff.
As usually expected good food in a busy environment. Not a place for a quiet lunch. The wine on offer was of good quality, as always providing it suits one palate. Still good value overall.
Consistently great food and great service with welcoming atmosphere on every visit.
A very pleasant experience at Cote Brasserie, the sun was shining by the riverside at Kingston upon Thames. The food once again was excellent and we will be returning.
We go to Cote Brasserie in Kingston often and love it. A great menu and the food is always delicious. Perfect service with friendly staff.
I have been to several Côte restaurants and have always been impressed. This was my first time in the Kingston Côte. I did not feel either the food or service was as good as usual. Waiting staff were polite but it was not easy to get their attention. The artichoke special dish was not cooked enough and not as good as st Cobham Cote a few weeks ago.
Excellent meal and service. Free wine much appreciated thank you. I am disabled and have a shopping trolley and the staff were very considerate in finding me a suitable and comfortable table.
Good service and not rushed. The table wasn't quite ready when we arrived (we were 10 minutes early) so we had to wait outside. Bar area to wait would have been better or a 15 minute table clearing time between sittings. Other than that good service (interuptions during 'cheers' and key conversations became quite comedic).
Friendly and efficient service as always. Always a good experience visiting Cote Kingston. Great Menu whether Breakfast, Lunch or Dinner. A real favourite and great value.
We had a good lunch here. Very busy restaurant which of course means that the food and wine can be recommened. Service also very attentive.
The decor was inviting and the restaurant temperature comfortable. Too many restaurants have their temperature set too low. I had the calamari to start followed by the beef bourguignon and enjoyed both. The service was friendly and efficient. Overall a very pleasant evening.
Our usual Saturday visit to have breakfast at Cote. As always breakfast and service excellent. The team are always ready to help and recommend what is good.
Just had 2 starters. My friend had the crab mayo but said there wasn't muchcrab in it. However I had the Calamari which was good and the prawns which were excellent. The service was very good
Attentive service and a tasty lunch. The lunch menu is very good value and the portions just right. We all enjoyed our visit and will come again.
Set lunch excellent! Moules and sea bream my choice - love the fish stew a la carte but set lunch ideal for friends' meet up. Great service as always, and Kingston perfect location.
We had a lovely evening with excellent food and service. The French onion soup was very good but I would really recommend the duck served pink with a cherry sauce. It's the third time I have had it as it's so delicious!
Great service, got us our table on time and was very understanding about the free bottle of merlot as only one person got the a la carte menu.
Had our 32nd Anniversary meal ,and had an amazing time we loved every minute of our visitor great food and beautiful setting. We'll be back : )
Delicious dishes worth the wait. A couple of items had not arrived hot so we were offered free coffees which was courteous. A very busy Sunday lunchtime.
Excellent service, brilliant food and as always an amazing atmosphere. We will certainly return time and time again, as we have at other Cote sites.
Cote is very dependable. Lunch menu is always good, no problems. Kingston is a great setting looking over the Thames and the boats passing by.
Great food, the bread & butter pudding was to die for! Friendly staff. Cotes is one of the best chain restaurants around, the standard is always good which ever one you go to.
Excellent service. Great care by manager and chef to ensure the diet requirements of one of our party were met to the full. Friendly atmosphere all evening.
As always excellent breakfast, slight criticism is that you can’t choose a bigger size of coffee which is why I only gave a score of 5
We enjoyed a very good meal from the set lunch-time menu which had plenty of choice and was up to the usual standard. We will definitely be returning.
Good atmosphere and service even though the restaurant was very busy. Calamari and crab starters were lovely but my husband said his belly pork was just OK. Overall still a nice meal.
This was the sixth Cote restaurant I have visited. Sadly this one didn’t live up to the standards of the other four. The food was as good as ever (always been consistent across all branches), but sadly this time the service was slow and not as friendly... maybe just an off day?
We had the set menu as we were at the theatre. It took ages to get a drink and have our order taken. Our starter of mussels were gritty which we complained about and were taken off the bill. Everyone else who arrived afterwards were then receiving their main course before us so we eventually flagged down a waiter who said it would be 5 mins. There were not enough staff to assist and so the delay meant we then didn’t have dessert as we were going to the theatre. Admittedly we did get money off our bill but in the 5 times we’ve eaten we have never paid for all our food due to a problem or issue. The Kingston restaurant has a chance of being an absolute gem as the quality around is poor but seems he’ll bent on ruining its chances
The food was excellent. Service was mostly good but marred slightly by a couple of errors - beer was ordered for one of our guests but it didn't appear with the rest of the drinks and had to be chased, then we were presented with incorrect dessert menus. Neither mishap was exactly a hanging offence but the restaurant was extremely busy and this all took time to sort out. Otherwise it was a thoroughly enjoyable evening, as always.
The restaurant was extremely busy and was clearly short of staff, which was confirmed by one of the waiters. We had an incredibly long wait for our main course and in fact were offered the dessert menu before this had even arrived which indicated that we had clearly been forgotten. Even after chasing our order up it was still an exceptionally long time and for the two of us to eat two courses after arriving just before 1pm we left there just before 3pm. The food when it did arrive, was of the usual high standard and whilst I understand staffing problems do sometimes occur we both felt that the delay spoiled our lunch somewhat.
We have been to this restaurant several times now as we're in Kingston quite a lot. I am dairy and gluten free which limits me to what I can have but in the past where I have found that if the chef can slightly alter a dish for me he will, and it's always been brilliant. I have had the duck there previously but this time was told that the chef couldn't alter the dish for me so I couldn't have it. The restaurant was really busy so it may be that this was why. However, the food was lovely and we will definitely be back.
Very good food and the choice on fixed price menu is well worth a visit. House wine is enjoyable if pricey by the glass. Worth a try
Very busy Friday evening but a really good atmosphere. The food was very good and the service was great. The staff are friendly and very helpful.
Very poor welcome from manageress who was very miserable and abrupt! Asked if we could change my free birthday wine which have done on previous occasions and was told definitely not! Her whole attitude was not in keeping with our previous experience at Cote as have been to your restaurant many times. Food however was very good.
Lovely food, great service. Free bottle of Merlot as part of the autumn promotion was fab too! The fish was fresh and cooked perfectly. The desert 'special' was to die for.
Enjoyed it very much and hoping to come back soon. Service is good, staff are polite and attentive without being in your face. Very clean and a real authentic French brasserie
As always, good food and attentive service. We have found this restaurant to be consistently good and have never had a disappointing meal at breakfast, lunch or dinner.
Excellent food and excellent service. Consistently good food at a reasonable price. The complimentary bottle of wine was a real bonus so thank you Cote!
This was the second time for me at Cote. Food was amazing and the service was fantastic. We had a family lunch and we had such a good time. I will be back for sure. Thank you.
As always with Cote - good choice on the menu with well executed food at a reasonable price. Friendly staff who make you feel welcome and a good atmosphere for a lunch with friends.
As before service, food and ambiance fantastic. The duck is always cooked to perfection. Love it ! I look forward to the next time I visit.
Côte Kingston has never failed to live up to expectation, whatever the time of day. We have been for even just a cup of coffee and been welcomed to same as if we we there for a three course meal. Lots of choice in Kingston but Côte is good!
We went to Côte Kingston for a pre theatre meal. We all chase something different and it was all cooked to perfection as we had requested, delicious and hot.
I have visited Esher Cote twice this week and Kingston today. My Esher visits rated 6. The muscles today were not nearly as good as Esher - they lacked sauce and the creme caramel lacked liquid and caramel.
Very busy this Friday lunchtime. Food good as usual, but there was a 20 minute wait before our order was taken, for this reason overall experience not quite there.
Staff friendly but Takes a long time to get deserts and bill. Needed two requests to get the bill. Overall the experience is ok but maybe be best to avoid busy periods.
Very good maitre D. My wife had a steak that was a bit tough and he took it off the bill. Food was great though.
Cote is my favourite venue for lunching with girl friends , Kingston in great setting along the river, always best to book ahead. Food is excellent and very good value.
Lovely atmosphere. Great service. Beautiful food. A lovely place at anytime, day or night. Menu covers every taste and portion sizes are magnificent. Definitely my go-to place.
As ever, food was good quality / good value, service was efficient. Long mnay it continue, we still think Cote is the best "chain" restaurant currently available.
