Always delicious food at Cote. The standard is consistent and the service given with a smile. Whether you need a mid morning coffee and croissant, lunch by the river or a cosy dinner, Kingston Cote is the place to go.

Good quality traditional French cooking. Roquefort salad was good, and steak frites was tender, well seasoned and a good portion size. Pleasant bottle of Picpoul to accompany.

The food was very good. Service was a little slow, but very friendly. The reason we have scored only a 4 was two-fold: firstly the restaurant was very noisy. We had not noticed this before, and it may have been where we were sitting. Secondly, the waft of the odour of cleaning fluids from the lavatories did not enhance our experience!

Rather busy so a bit slow with the service, but as always excellent serving staff and food. Not sure about the 25 word requirement, would rather be brief and to the point !

I don't particularly like 'chain' restaurants and so was expecting an average offering at Cote Brasserie in Kingston. I was pleasantly surprised by the varied menu and quality of the food. Although I did not choose it, the lunchtime set menu seemed quite reasonably priced and offered good choices. Service was good although the time to receive our mains appeared longer than it should have been, but due to good company, we didn't really notice and didn't comment or complain. Nevertheless, our waiter apologised for what he considered to be too long a wait for our food and deducted the cost of our coffees from the bill. A good impression all round (good location on the riverside) and will definitely be going again.

A friend and I had the new set November menus at Cote today. The service was quick and efficient. The food arrived hot and was excellent value for money. We were too full to have a pudding but enjoyed a coffee. We weren't hurried at any stage. An enjoyed lunch.

Lovely atmosphere and Côte is my favourite restuarant. Found the ratatouille with goats cheese starter was really nice apart from the bread accompanying it which was tasteless. The coq au vin was tasty.

we use different Cotes every week but this will be the last time we go to Cote in Kingston. The food is normally OK (we went for breakfast) but the speed of service is just not acceptable. from walking in to getting our coffee's took 20 minutes and then they were only luke warm. As for the food, eggs were cold and I think the toast had been put under a sun lamp for 10 seconds then left to cool down before serving. No apologies, no attempt as service recovery (which all other Cotes do), so no more Cote Kingston for us!

Excellent lunch. We all chose from the set lunch menu and the food was delicious. The restaurant was busy but the service was good. Our waiter was lovely. We asked for ice cream with chocolate sauce which was not currently on the set menu but that was no problem and we were not charged any extra. We were celebrating an 80th birthday and we were allowed to pop in slightly early to put up a balloon and the desserts were delivered with a candle for the birthday girl by lots of singing staff and the whole restaurant joined in which was really lovely.

Excellent 2 course set menu. My mushroom soup was delicious as was the chicken with saute potatoes and Djoinaise sauce. Very good value at £11.95. The service was polite and efficient and we lingered afterwards over a cup of tea and were not rushed by staff.
