Amazing service and food quality. Staff is TOP! We went to celebrate Saint Valentine's day and it was quite busy. However, food quality, service and atmosphere were superb!
Great food and excellent service. Our starters were tasty and good size. We ordered steak and chicken for mains and both meals were good. Coffee size was generous.
Lovely food and great view over the river. However near the front of the restaurant it is a little cold - some people had their coats on. The restaurant also seemed a little understaffed and it was difficult to get anyone's attention. Luckily we were not in a hurry.
Excellent, friendly service, amazing food and great location on the river which made for a romantic and enjoyable evening. We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner !
Great food. Lovely ambiance. Service was okay. Had to wait 15 minutes to receive our tea and coffee, which was annoying. But will come back again for breakfast.
As always food good & service very efficient & friendly. No matter which branch of Cote you visit you can be assured of the same high standards.
The food was delicious! We had a lovely time except our waiter was really miserable and we felt a bit rushed to order when we arrived.
A pleaseire to visit on my wife's birthday. Excellent service and wide choice of food and drinks. Attentive pleasant waitress. Very good value for money: highly recommended.
Very good food and excellent service . We consider cot'e to be the best restaurant on the river front at Kingston . Will continue to visit .
A very enjoyable meal. We chose the set menu which had plenty of choice. Great service and good food at a reasonable price. We would definitely recommend Cotes.
Great friendly service. Delicious food and the three course lunch deal that we had was very good value for money. We will definitely visit again.
Great food, great service, nothing to much trouble! Perfect place to catch up with friends. The early evening menu ideal if you are going to the theatre. Highly recommend
As always a lovely venue & lunch. Service was good although the restaurant was exceptionally busy & I felt the staff were rather stretched. Food good.
A wonderful was had by all at a great place to eat. Lovely food and good sevice. I would recommend this restaurant especially for a special occasion
The service at the restaurant was actually really good, but the food was not fantastic. The mussels came dry and it took some time for the soup for it to be brought out, most of the mussels were dead and more than half empty? Too much cream, too salty and did not taste good. When the cream sauce eventually came out the mussels were all lukewarm, what there was of them anyway. However, the main course was really good, the staff did make an effort to raise their game when I told them it was under par, and the steak was a substantial improvement. Again, not perfect but much improved, the celeriac mash was a little dry and the top of it was crusty from I think where it had been waiting on a hot plate or something. The desert, which I had a chocolate fondont was excellent. All in all, I am pleased by Cote but not going to fall over myself to book again for Valentines day, however, the management did make a good effort to set the record straight and took a decent amount off my bill to make me leave happy. Good effort, but could be better. Cheers
Dined here on Valentine's night with my wife and whilst i have eaten at Cote in Kingston before, We were very impressed by the choice of menu, standard of food and pairing wines and the quality of service given the place was packed. For a " Chain " restaurant, this one is as good as it gets. I can also highly recommend their breakfast menu which is delicious.....
Food was excellent, came in a timely manner, very affordable for the quality we got. Staff were really friendly and knowledgeable. Facilities such as the toilets were very clean. I asked for a table by the window and they made sure we did with ease. Over all a great experience and I have already recommended it to friends.
The Kingston branch has a wonderful location by the Thames. Pre-theatre supper was up to the usual very good standard and the staff were friendly and efficient.
Really excellent breakfast at Cote this morning. Service was great and so was the food. What more can I say? A minimum of 25 words is daft!
Seated promptly. Very nice waitress. The food and drink was excellent. Very nice wine and my husband enjoyed his beer. Finished with a nice floater coffee.
We really like the fact that the specials menu changes about once a month and that it is always difficult to make a choice because the selection is so good!
Beautiful place, with a very good service. Everything was excellent, food, drinks! I really recommend this French restaurant to everyone who want to eat some French food.
Mediocre tuna and salad for my lunch The tuna seems to be getting smaller over time and the salad had more peppers and onions than anything else, the dressing was obviously straight from a bottle. This restaurant is always very busy and I think they have stopped trying to improve because it will always get customers for the cheap set menu. This monthly set menu is becoming very repetitive and is so cheap you get the feeling they are cutting the quality and portion size to keep within the budget. My friends and I would happily pay a more realistic price for better quality food. My friend chose the excellent steak frites which is the only dish that is always well cooked. Luckily this restaurant has a wonderful setting so if the food is poor, the river view is good.
Excellent. Busy, buzzing atmosphere. Fabulous position overlooking the river Thames at Kingston Bridge. Outside tables, for warmer days, to sit and watch the world go by. Service was efficient and unobtrusive, food - Duck Breast and Poulet Grille - recommended and beautifully presented. Cote at its best.
An excellent lunch! The service was very efficient despite the fact that the restaurant was jam-packed. The vegetarian options for one of out party were of a high standard. The monkfish was superb.
Always excellent food at this Cote and ideal for Business meetings as staff will leave you alone until you are ready to order. Lovely staff too !
On arrival we were seated quickly and enjoyed good serve and great quality food. The meal was reasonably priced with a decent wine list. Good lively atmosphere so everyone really exjoyed the lunch.
The service we received was excellent, my wife had ribeye steak and I had the fish stew, both were very good and we would recommend these meals also the house red wine was excellent and would love to visit again soon.

The food was excellent as usual and the staff were very attentive. We have the good fortune to live just a few hundred yards away and are regular patrons of this first-class restaurant
Great place with healthy dishes. Staff is very kind. Location very good, we had a great time overall. Definitly going to come back there again.
Helpful, polite and friendly staff. Food was quite good but portions a bit small on lunchtime special menu. Might not suit a bigger eater than myself.
We took our family (Mother and son of 21) who were visiting from Italy. The restaurant was busy and there was a lovely ambience. The food was delicious and the staff, particularly our waitress, Isabella, were very friendly, efficient and helpful. The setting of Cote, Kingston is particularly lovely by the River Thames near Kingston Bridge.
Excellent attention from the staff for a very special get together. The food was well presented, tasted good and was excellent value. We were not pressured to finish our meal and leave which would have been understandable - we were in Cote from 13:30 until 15:30 on a Saturday. Very highly recommended.
Poor and slow service despite restaurant not as busy as previous times I have been. Food a bit dry and cold. Not my best experience.
This was an Ideal location to meet a group of friends, the staff were very responsive to us. Also there as a great choice for a breakfast .
Lovely enjoyable Sunday lunch for our Daughters birthday. The Duck, Lamb, Monkfish, Salmon & Fish stew all very enjoyable as was the creme caramel & pancakes. Good atmosphere and friendly staff.
Lovely table. Food very nice. On,y one disappointment. Almost every time I visit Cote I order with crab mayo starter WITHOUT capers. I cannot eat capers. Every time in the many branches of Cote I have eaten in, up until today the chef has been very understanding and accommodating. Must be a new chef in the Kingston branch. Said he has mixed that crab in the morning (we ate at 3.30pm) and was not prepared to make my starter without capers Lazy and disappointing.
A celebrator drink on the house and two superb peices of seabass. Lovely and I would come back time and time again, and probably will
The food was delicious absolutely adored the poulet roti. The service was great as well, has to be my favourite resturant in qll of kingston.
First time at Cote and would definitely return. Food was fantastic, attentive and friendly serving staff but not over the top. Nice atmosphere, tables were quite close together and it was busy but not noisy. We had 5 in our party, all had 3 courses, beer, 2 bottles wine - paid around £45 per head so very reasonably priced. Would recommend.
We had a lovely evening at cote, the service was friendly and efficient, the food delicious, and as we ate from the early evening menu it was extremely good value, with plenty of choice.
Food was very good - but we had to wait too long for the food to arrive. We were going to the theatre and ended up running up the road to make the beginning of the show.
Fantastic food (and a great offer of a free bottle of wine in January!), really helpful and friendly staff. You really can't fault Cote - delivers every time.
The food is always beautifugly cooked and presented and the staff are very helpful and friendly. The restaurant is clean and comfortable. We go there often
Excellent food, very enjoyable wine (complimentary!) Very courteous service. Not too busy at 14.45 . Keeping up the high standard that we always experience. Altogether a perfect lunchtime.
good and friendly service and quality food, Cote is always reliable. Kingston has a spacious layout and is not too noisy. Nice location on the river
Enjoyable lunch with good food. Service was not up to your normal level - one of our starter items was wrong. Too many staff standing around looking lost!
The evening was a very pleasant experience. We enjoyed good food and a complimentary bottle of wine. The service was low key but attentive and we felt welcomed.
Another very enjoyable lunch at Cote - although it was a very busy lunchtime, the service was excellent. Food (mains of chicken and steak) as good as ever. Cote remains consistent, and our favourite rerstaurant.
Food was really delicious and great value. All the staff are very friendly and it has a great atmosphere. I would definitely recommend the restaurant.
