Cheerful environment, good table, excellent service, good choice of menu, everything as we would wish. Even the acoustics where not to difficult which has been a problem in the past.

Always enjoy eating here. Good food at a good price and very friendly staff Ate from prestige set menu, great choices and large portions, especially the starters

A most enjoyable lunch with friends. The restuarant was busy but we were served quickly and the staff were efficient and friendly, the food tasty too!

Good overall but main course took a long time to arrive, while others were being served more promptly. Helpful staff and varied, quite interesting menu

Excellent meal. Would recommend to people. French brasserie type food in a spacious, riverside restaurant with a lively modern atmosphere. Have been to this restaurant several times and it never disappoints.

A lovely place to catch up with your friend o and family. The food is always consistently good., and the staff are very helpful and nice .

Generally speaking, the service was really great, but the welcome was a bit poor. Having arrived a few minutes early, it seemed to be a real problem. Otherwise food and service was excellent

Love Cote Kingston - welcoming, friendly staff, great atmosphere, excellent food and drink and reasonable prices. We go there all the time with our kids (11 and 13) for a 'grown up' meal and it always feels really special.

The Table the food and the service were excellent. The noise level was horrendous. We had a real problem carrying out any sort of conversation!

Great service, value for money and lovely food as ever , we have never been disappointed with eating at Cote Kingston.will be back again soon .

Such delicious food in Cote Brasserie, they never fail on quality and it's very reasonably priced. The waiters and waitresses are lovely, the service is great and it's in a beautiful location.

My friends and I use Cote a lot as a lovely place to have lunch. It's such good value and always delicious. We also appreciate the consistency in good service.

Friendly welcome and service. Lovely fresh food and, as always, nicely presented. My Steak Frites could have been a little warmer but it was delicious nonetheless. Lovely riverside setting.

Enjoyed the food and our waiter was such a sweet person and so helpful and attentive. Price reasonable. Chilly near window but move and was fine.

Good value for money. The restaurant was really busy on Saturday but the staff were very attentive and helpful. I will definitely go there again.

Very friendly and accommodating staff. We weren't hurried and had plenty of time to chat and enjoy our meal. I persuaded my friend to have the creme caramel which is always wonderful at the Cotes and she was not disappointed. Unfortunately on the day we were there it was snowing so we could not enjoy the lovely riverside setting but we had a very nice time,

Good standard brasserie, reasonably priced. Only real complaint is that the cheese was cold, obviously refrigerated, which was expected but I was hoping for better. Other than that, nice meal, decent place

Food was great as usual. Very busy for a Friday lunchtime but service good. We ordered just a main course as we were limited on time, and a little surprised that we didn’t get our food faster than the table next to us who ordered starters and mains some time after us. No complaints though, always enjoy eating here.

Lunch with a friend. Have eaten here several times. Reasonable food and service although the restaurant was very busy. Standard two course set meal was good value.

We had to wait over 40 minutes from when we arrived to the food appearing. That said, It was great food and served with courtesy.

Always happy to go to Cote to meet friend. We choose off the set lunch menu, which is very reasonable. The service is always good.

It was so noisy that my friend and I couldn't hear each other; we almost had to give up talking until it quietened down a bit after 2pm. All the hard surfaces exacerbate the noise, magnifying it as the sound waves bounce off hard walls, ceiling and floor. Why not use acoustic tiles or other surfaces designed to dampen noise rather than magnify it? It's stressful being in that noisy situation and makes it hard to talk and enjoy the meal. People start talking loudly to make themselves heard which makes the problem worse. The meal was nice although I wasn't too impressed with my haddock pie: it was OK but didn't taste very fishy. Too much potato and cheese?

A good experience, slightly soured in the length of time it took for food to arrive; tbf, it was Mother’s Day. I will return, but on a less busy day.

Very nice spot by the river. It was busy but service was good and the food was definitely worth going for. We go here quite often and will continue to based on this experience.

Good service. Relaxed lunch, time to sit and chat. They have a gluten free menu which is helpful. Pleasant lunch time meals and wine by the glass.

Restaurant was not busy, 4-5 tables in total so we had a very good service as waiter could spend enough time with the service. We had a very nice meal, service of the dishes was quite fast. Plates were cleaned 2-3 minutes after we finish the course each time. It is very busy there during lunch time, so it is better to go Tuesday or Monday dinner to get the best experience :)

The food was cold and we were seated at the back of the restaurant near the toilets where there was a terrible smell of sewage. When we mentioned this to the waitress she just shrugged.

Service good but mussels not so good and pancakes over cooked so not as good as on previous occasions. Roquefort salad and crab mayo excellent.

As usual Cote was busy. The service is adequate -no more- and the food again adequate. Not inspiring but well cooked. Not much choice for vegetarian / vegans though

Very nice vegetarian option. Nice service, if a bit slow. Lunch took 2 1/2 hours! Nice busy atmosphere at the fixed price lunch menu is extremely good value for money, with original food.

Usually excellent but a little disappointed today with quality of our breakfast. Poached eggs not runny - although they did replace, sausage over cooked as were the mushrooms and toast under done. Very unusual for Cote.

Booked over two weeks in advance but was placed in the worst seat next to the front door. Lots of people queuing to get seats - at one stage one lady looked into the restaurant by leaning all the way over my son who was trying to eat his b/lunch. Also my scrambled eggs on toast came with toast believe it or not (listed in the title) - it was a single generic slice of white toast you can get from Tesco. It was cold and I had to ask twice for butter. Basically it’s normally great but they were off their game and they clearly have too many seats in the restaurant- the table next to the door should not be there.

Despite being Mothers day and the restaurant very crowded - but isnt it always - the service was good, the meal excellent and it was good value. Maybe a little noisy, and the chairs could be a bit more comfortable, especially if you are there for a couple of hours but those niggles aside, whats not to like!?

We always enjoy good food and service at Cote in Kingston, but yesterday was very disappointing. We had to wait a long time to get any kind of service. We had to remind the waiter about outstanding drinks. The meal I had was disappointing (undercooked and tasteless ratatouille that accompanied the salmon fillet) and having waiting a long time for the dirty plates to be cleared away, the waiter was borderline rude when we politely asked them to be cleared. I really hope that this was a blip, due to mother's day maybe, but surely they are equipped to cope with a busy day like that. We will go back, because we usually love it, but hope for improved service.

Was there for Mother's Day and enjoyed the experience. The time we were there was the breakfast slot. We all enjoyed our food and found the service quick and friendly.

Excellent breakfast, fast and friendly service. We had a limited time slot, partly our fault as we were a bit late also it was mothers day. But we would recommend and would go again.

Enjoyable brunch but the coffee was served well before food so it was cold by the time the food arrived. Also, because it was quite busy there was not as much attention to detail with the food as in previous visits when it was not as busy.

Smooth service despite it being a busy day as it was Mother’s Day. Waitress was pleasant and food was satisfactory. We would come again as the set breakfast menu was reasonable in price.

Great service, tasty food and extremely good value for money.l took my daughter in law and 2 grandchildren for breakfast. The crepe was not the pancake my granddaughter expected but with a little swapping everyone was more than happy. Thanks, Cote!

The food was very good. The service was great. The staff were friendly and we would definitely recommend Cote for a great breakfast or brunch.
