Very pleasant early evening meal, no regrets and will definitely go again.

A good selection on the menu, the food was cooked very well and the service for me was perfect (not intrusive but avaliable when you want). My wife and I had a lovely evening.

It was very busy tonight, but I felt the food wasn’t up to it’s usual very high standard. The bread on the duck board was hard , almost stale , meaning I left it and just ate the meat.The carrots were cold and the peppercorn sauce was ridiculously hot, I’ve had this sauce several times with my steak and it’s always been lovely, but tonight it was overpowering and ruined my steak as I explained to the waitress- who simply said “ it’s peppercorn” I left the majority of my main meal too as the sauce ruined it. At the end of our meal the waitress said she’d taken the price of the sauce off! This surprised me as I’d left my steak meal and the bread from my duck board. It has disappointed us slightly as it was my birthday meal with my wife, and we regularly eat here as it’s always so good- unfortunately tonight it just wasn’t up to par

I'd previously (a year ago) struggled to find something I liked on the menu, but not this time. A great choice this time, that encouraged us to have 3 courses, and the staff were very helpful. My partner struggles to find a wine she likes, but there was lots of help and a suggestion by the waiter turned out to be perfect. Thank you.

This was a 90th Birthday party for my dad who has been poorly. Right from the start, the arrangements, allowing us to bring in a cake and bringing it out exactly when asked. Bringing him a glass of bubbly or larger on the house and generally making him feel special. Even when he had a funny turn due to the heat they brought ice in napkins for the back of his neck, an air spray and fan, which soon made him feel better, the manager was very caring. Even when more friends kept turning up, nothing was too much trouble. Thank you Cote for making it a special night for him, one he says he won’t forget and neither will we! X

Despite the lovely setting and excellent service, our evening was spoiled by the quality of some of the food. There were four in our party to celebrate my daughter's graduation. The crab mayonnaise starter hardly tasted of crab and the avocado was also not evident - the predominant taste was cucumber and spring onions. My starter of crispy squid was not very pleasant - the coating was very thick breadcrumbs which covered the taste of the squid and was quite greasy. The random scattering of raw garlic was also unpleasant. You should check out the squid at Carlucci's which is excellent. For the others, the steak and grilled chicken were good, however my main course of a summer salad was ruined by the overdressed leaves under the main ingredients which were very slimy. It tasted as if it had been hanging around a while before serving. I would have complained at the time but did not want to spoil the celebratory atmosphere of our evening. I would very much like a response to the comments on my experience.

We have been on numerous occasions this was for my sons birthday. Despite it being not as busy the service was slow, we had to keep getting the staffs attention.

We booked for our daughters 21st birthday. All the staff were very attentive & friendly. Really nice food & just the right amount of waiting between each course. We didn’t feel rushed even though it was incredibly busy. I honestly can say we had a fantastic evening. We were given a complementary glass of Kia Royal on arrival which was a lovely start to my daughters family birthday meal. Thank you all for making it special.

We had vouchers to use from Christmas, just out of date which were honoured, which was the right thing to do we thought. Table service was very good and sofas the food. A very enjoyable evening out, thank you.

Table was amazing, as requested, right by the window. The waiter was polite and charming....and my tuna nicoise and my friends steak frites was delicious ! Very happy customers .... amazing :)
