Côte Kingston

I always enjoy my visit to Cote. The staff are welcoming friendly and attentive. The food is always good and the menu changes often so there is always something to tempt you! Great value for money too. I have eaten in many Cote restaurants and am never disappointed.

We are regular users of Cote, and thought that this would be a good place for NYE. However, unlike the other restaurants in Kingston where in previous years we have enjoyed a leisurely meal until midnight, we were unduly rushed: we had barely sat down when our order was taken, we were then served bread and olives, an amuse bouche and our starters almost simultaneously, each of our plates was cleared the moment we had finished, and our main course was brought well before we were ready. I asked a manager why we were being hurried so much, and he replied (curtly!) that the restaurant was very busy. I asked if our table which we had booked for 9 (and I assumed we could have until 12) was booked for later in the evening - he went away and came back to say that it wasn't and so he graciously (?!) allowed us a breather before dessert. If this was the case, then why had we not been allowed more time to savour our meal???

Great atmosphere for New Year's eve. Paired wines menu was a nice touch.

Great meal, with lovely view of the river. Helpful and friendly staff and a great value meal. Charcuterie was a great started, almost enough to share, and the special rump of lamb was perfectly cooked. Great meal, thank you.

We had to wait for one our party to receive their food well after the rest of the group had received theirs. We heard the waiter say at our table that four orders for the same dish had been put through when in fact it should have been 5 for the same dish (Steaks) then headed into the kitchen and came out and told us “unfortunately there was not enough room for the chef to prepare all the steak dishes at the same time” when in fact we saw further steak meals come out at the same time ours. We would have preferred to have been told the truth that he had made a mistake but to have been lied to was unacceptable.

Busy atmosphere but efficient service with nice smiles from staff members. Great place to be on weekends with your family by the Thames River.

Excellent value breakfast as always. Great, efficient friendly service. Always a winner.

We enjoyed the buzzy atmosphere and overall the food was very nice, as was the location with the River so high you could see it from our table. Fab for people watching too.

Enjoyed the food and attentive service. Table was next to the coffee making area and lots of clattering noise When restocking the crockery, which upset my elderly mother a little.

Food arrived without delay, however two of us had the cooked breakfast and the sausages needed more colour as they looked anaemic. I ordered a latte and the glass it was served in was not full and there was at least a third froth, which is not how you make or serve a latte.

We had an excellent lunch today. The food was superb. The service excellent. I can highly recommend this restaurant, we have been several times and never had a bad meal

We had a table booked for 9am and were a few minutes early, the entrance was blocked by chairs. The staff could see we were waiting in the cold but didn’t offer for us to come in. When they did remove the chairs the staff member didn’t acknowledge us at all and went straight back in to the restaurant closing the door behind him!!! The waiter was good, maybe a little over attentive and the breakfast was lovely.

A good lunch as is normal at Côte. A good lunch with my son and daughter in law.

Good choice of food from set menu. Food of good quality and arrived promptly after ordering.

Firstly, the dinner was delicious. It was well cook and tasty as expected. Secondly, the service level received was good. Staff was attentive and reactive when needed. Thirdly. my child and really good fun with the stickers and colouring books. The quality was above the norm.

Thoroughly enjoyable Sunday lunch and hope to return again soon.

Cote kingston was yet another excellent dining experience. The staff were lovely as always, very helpful with a menu substitution in the absence of one of the dishes on the menu. Professional service, the food was again top notch, delicious and fresh. Cote just do it right all the time. And the atmosphere was lively with so many people having get togethers so close to Christmas. Fantastic.

Lovely food and great service. They even provided a candle for my mum's birthday.

A little bit disappointed as it was my granddaughter’s 11 year old birthday which went unrecognised. Two small candles in a cup cake would have made a huge difference.

Wonderful food ,attentive hardworking staff who were eager to please. Highly recommend and I’ll be back. Merry Christmas and happy new year.

Cote is pretty much guaranteed to hit the mark every time. Just remember to book as it gets super busy!

Excellent service from Kirsty (Kristy?) on a Sunday morning (December15th). She really is an asset to your business. Healthy serving of bacon with our poached eggs but a little confused as to why we have to pay extra for toast. Tables also a little small. Otherwise a lovely brunch and will return.

Very good experience. Sunday night so not too crowded, everything was fine, food and service.
