Nice food, good service and lovely atmosphere. Menu hasn’t changed for years which with a slightly larger specials board isn’t a problem. We would come back more often if the menu changes occasionally.

On a Saturday evening the restaurant was busy and buzzy, the service was attentive and friendly and our meal was very good at this level of cuisine and reasonably good value. We really enjoyed our evening

The service was quick considering we were a party of 22. The food was very good (my rib eye steak was incredible!).....and the service at the table was friendly and very competent. I chose Cote Brasserie in Kingston because I had eaten there once before and again everything had been above average...excellent in fact. Well done to your staff for giving us a great meal.

It's a brilliant place by the river. The ONLY negative was it took a little while to get the bill. Everything was excellent. I would definitely go again.

Excellent service and food. We very much enjoyed our free aperitif. It would be nice though if bread was served with the Prawn Gratinee or come to think of it put on the table as in restaurants in France without charge.

Usually, food is well cooked and presented, served efficiently. I enjoy the food very much. Unfortunately I had a foreign waitress taking my order today and got my order wrong. I asked her the difference between the tiger prawn and the King prawn and we decided on the King prawn which is a special item in March but she brought the tiger prawn for us. It was a disappointment. The duck slices were delicious as usual but would like a bit more potatoes under. I would like more choices in dessert. Ice cream or frozen berries with sauce is not really a dessert to me.It was very crowded at lunch time today and I had to wait for a long time to get my coffee at the end and it wasn't hot. Luke warm coffee was't great to finish off my meal. It was also noisy and was difficult to hold a conversation. We couldn't hear each other across the table.

Everything was very good except for the risotto that my friend (veggie) and I had. Overcooked and soggy! Not good. Very nice complimentary drink on arrival though Margaret Troy

Very enjoyable, but can I make a suggestions? Your portions are very generous. I was with my 20 year old granddaughter but neither of us could finish our dish of fish goujons, which was delicious, but over-large. Is it possible to offer a choice of portion size, one normal and a smaller one, at a slightly reduced price, to minimise the wastage which results. This policy is very popular in restaurants which have adopted it. We both wanted a dessert today, but were unable to eat one!!!

I am close to awarding *****. Being picky, our waiter went off shift half way through our meal; not a big deal and he deserved his break but being harsh, it takes away top billing. The food was excellent and the service so professional. The staff share the 12.5% service charge and this is much deserved. By far the best restaurant "chain" food available.

Shame the succulent looking lamb chops were as tough as old boots. The complimentary rhubarb martinis were strewn with inedible rose petals making the cocktail very difficult to drink. Such a shame.

An excellent pre matinee (at the Rose Theatre) venue. The table, the service and the meal were just as I had hoped for myself and guests. This was my first visit to this particular Cote.

The moment I step through the door it is as though I were in a French brasserie, such is the decor. And then the food & wine underline my first impressions. I am transported. I could even have had a pastis - perhaps next time.

I dine regularly at Côte but today’s meal was very poor quality. Starter baby gem salad with egg and lardons- lardons were extremely hard. The main(COD with ratatouille) was very overcooked and fish extraordinarily small

Went there for my husbands birthday. We ordered starters, unfortunately my husbands did not arrive and we had to chase it up. Our plates were not cleared away for a long period of time after we had finished and we had a long wait for the mains. Too much cream in the mussels for my liking. The mains were nice, we had the rib eye and sea bass. We had booked a table but they didn't seem to have the booking on the system. Good location by the river and very busy for a Tuesday. Had previously been with a friend for lunch and that was very nice. One thing to mention, if you want a quiet romantic meal, it is very noisy and hard to hear people speaking!

Overall it was a great experience, food was good service excellent. We had a pram with us for our lunch time meal, the manager found us a table with small area to park pram next to us but still keeping us in main social place. Weather was lovely and restaurant was very busy but service and food was still terrific.

Usually good but as you have asked. Service was curt and efficient without any warmth. The main course was small and poor value. A small strip of salmon, thee asparagus spears and four tiny potatoes for £14, hardly enough for a child. You need to do better to get people to come back. Changing the menu might help too.

Normally Cote in Kingston is very good and we eat there regularly. However today was the exception. The starters were good but the first main I ordered was the asparagus risotto which could only be described as wet slop with no flavour. After sending this back and ordering the chicken and walnut salad which is meant to come with an assortment of other vegetables, I received a bowl of lettuce and chicken with the smallest amount of dressing you’ve ever seen. I sent that back and asked for both dishes to be removed from the bill. Very disappointing.
