Despite booking we waited for more than 15 minutes after being seated for our order to be taken. Food was good and staff pleasant but the delays marred our experience

Celebrating a birthday. Great food, attentive staff. The blood orange martini was fabulous. The sea bass with fennel was delicious, a good time had by all.

The food was lovely and glad I booked in advance as it was extremely busy on Good Friday particularly with the lovely weather. Despite being busy we were not rushed and given p!entry of time to make our selection from the menu. My only grumble is that my guests were stopped from entering the restaurant and told to wait. My husband had to collect them from the queue!

Had lunch here with friends. Waitresses were lovely and could not do more for us. Food was well cooked and tasted as food should. This is now my favourite restaurant.

Very pleasant waitress, delightful rhubarb martini, delicious bread, food very good generally, a delightful evening with friends. Only tiny detraction from the ( very high) standard I have come to rely on from Cote, my minute steak was a little over cooked ( not pink as promised) and my frites a little flabby, as if they had been kept warm...shame because I usually love the minute steak at Cote. Everything else was variously delicious, and Cote remains one of my go to restaurants for meetings friends.

The resturant was rather noisy. Otherwise service was slow, which did not bother us as we were not in a rush. Mussels could have been hotter and portion size wason the small size.

We ordered seafood (including the Bretan fish stew). The food was tasty and light (low fat). Service was helpful, although a couple of things we ordered (I asked for olive oil and balsamic vinegar to go with the bread) never arrived. The usual "is everything OK?" check never happened.

We are regular visitors to Cote Kingston and as always the food and service were exceptional. The restaurant is always busy but because unlike many restaurants they have plenty of waiting staff, service is fast and the food is very well presented. The addition of the “men in black” who bring the food from the kitchen add more to the speed and efficiency of the service and set the restaurant apart from their competitors.

We were a group of 6 people going for dinner for my birthday. We went all for their prestige menu (2 courses for £16.95) and it was really delicious. Food comes in good speed and our waiter was really professional and kind.

We've been coming to Cote in Kingston regularly since they opened a few years back. Generally we are happy with both the quality of food and the service, but this time as it was Mother's Day, and as they had been extremely busy during the day, there were a few issues. We arrived for dinner at 7 pm, and a number of their dishes were 'sold out', including Rib Eye Steak, Fillet Steak, Rack of Lamb and Duck Breast.... Not so good if you are a meat lover! However, I did order the Sirloin Steak which was very good indeed and cooked to perfection. To start with the service was somewhat slow, and the drinks arrived for three of us while there was another five to ten minutes for the last drink to arrive - and this after a couple of reminders. Only two of us ordered starters, and unfortunately one arrived long before the other. The rest of the meal went well, and all of us were very happy with the quality of the food.

We love Cote but today was disappointing to say the least . Not only was the service slow, but the main course was not up to the usual standard. We ordered the Beuf en Croute . The portion size was small and whilst there was plenty of puff pastry the filling was non existent with 3 small pieces of shin beef and 2 tiny pieces of chopped carrot! The food was not hot either ! (We did order extra sides) I suggest that you take this off your menu rotation !

Sorry to have to say but it was the worst experience I’ve had at Côte, had to wait what seemed like ages for someone to serve us. Also I was looking forward to my main meal of Pork Belly with its crispy cracklings but it was all rubbery fat.

Our waiter was very attentive and helpful. Appreciate it was Mothers' Day and the restaurant was very busy, but we were only informed on arrival that a time limit of 1.5 hours seating at the table was in operation. Food was generally delicious, but my mum's potatoes were very under-cooked, almost hard.

Always enjoy a meal at Cote but I had the seafood linguine and it had been cut up into 5cm lengths!, Shock horror. How do wind that on a fork. No wonder they supply a spoon!, Double shock horror. Has no one been to Italy? Patrick Mill

Staff and food were lovely. Only issue was that as the staff left to serve people outside they kept leaving the door open and it was pretty cold, we kept having to request the door was closed. Minor issue I appreciate but it does affect the enjoyment of your meal.

It couldn’t have been better. The staff were brilliant, they weren’t disruptive but made sure empty plates and glasses were taken as needed, and delivering food in the same manner. We were never pestered about how we felt about the meal but equally we were catered for. The food was absolutely stunning and the chef deserves the highest compliments. The restaurant was so busy but the manager had everything under control perfectly. The sun was shining without a cloud in the sky, what a wonderful meal. We had complimentary drinks due to a birthday celebration and I was so happy there was no over the top song or anything to draw attention. Côte Brasserie couldn’t do a thing wrong if they tried!

Food came less than 5 minutes after ordering, after being told it could take up to 25 minutes, hence ordering bread and olives that we didn't actually need. Some people like that speedy service, but I don't. I guess it's a matter of preference. Apart from that, great choice on the menu and lovely mimosa's. Very bustly.
