Tried early evening menu, not bad but really doesn’t compare to a la carte, not worth modest savings

Lovely staff, very understanding of 3 rather messy little children

Really enjoyed The sardine starter was a little small but everything else was fantastic

Absolutely our favourite reliable place to meet friends....reasonable and great good value food.

The Duck and the two starters were amazing, however the risotto was really bad, worst risotto ever had, anyway the waitress removed it from our bill, so the overall experience was good anyway

We truly enjoyed our bottle of wind but not as much the food...

Our time in Islington was great, food was good, service was good and also the atmosphere

We have eaten regularly at Cote and generally enjoy the experience. Good food, excellent service and a friendly environment. On Saturday it was busy, service was slow and we felt the team had forgotten us. I hope normal service will be resumed on our next visit.

Disappointing. A friend on a short visit from Paris was looking forward to your Boeuf Bourguignon but it wasn't available. We ordered Pissaladieres to start with but these too were not available. The manager gave us complementary starters by way of an apology and we had Fougeres. It was a nice gesture but did not make up for the disappointment of finding that 2 dishes we wanted to eat were not available.

Was a bit disappointed that there was no steak available at 6pm on Friday evening. My husband struggled to find something else as he likes plain food. Also, I should have been given the early evening menu at £9.95 which was the online offer, but I was charged £11.95. Not the end of the world, but not the cost I expected.

Food and service very good as always. We had the set lunch menu which was very good value. Both had main of Hachis Parmentier which was a generous portion.

Two of our party ordered Tuna Nicoise. The tuna was seared on the outside and stone cold in the middle. We returned them (after some issues being told this was how it was meant to be) and everyone else had long finished their main course by the time ours arrived and still weren’t great but as going to theatre we didnt have time to pursue further. To be fair the manager removed them from the bill. Unfortunately my young niece, not wanting to make a fuss, did not tell me that her chicken was not cooked through as she would have expected and she woke in the night with dreadful S&D which went on for almost 12 hours and three days later she is still not feeling great.

This was the first time we had visited this particular branch and we were delighted with both the service and the meal. We shall come again!

Clearly there were problems yesterday,...our food was dry and over cooked and side dish late,...first time my partner and I have ever had to complain 🙁

Lovely food, but service very slow, we waited 20 minutes to be even offered a desert menu.

It was busy and we had to ask several times for service but they catered well for my lactose intolerant.

Good,tasty meal for a reasonable price on the table de hote menu in friendly atmosphere.

A little confusion over pricing however a nice restaurant with good selection of menu choices. Service was a little slow and inexperienced.

Always a wonderful place to have dinner as the people working there make the experience so special. Great service & a very happy place to dine.

Front of house representative excellent - everything else average. Sat at the back of the restaurant - overflow section. Asked for one meal served chicken in white wine sauce served chicken and chips but bill came with the more expensive meal charged. Had to adjust the bill.

My beef stroganoff was inedible! The beef was so tough I could not even cut it with a knife. The meat was in lumps rather than the traditional thin strips and while I did not expect fillet steak, I did anticipate some good quality meat. Sadly, that was not the case. However, the waiter persuaded me that I could ask for something else so I opted for the mushroom risotto. This was very pleasant and a nice alternative to my original choice. Service staff were excellent - courteous and professional.

Amazing food. Lovely environment. Super staff. Food cooked and presented beautifully. Staff attentive and gave great service. My 10 year old son also enjoyed the experience. It was Christmas treat to a friend. Perfect.

Only problem was, we were hoping to select from a different menu not certain your website made it crystal clear there was only one menu from 6pm. Service and food were excellent!

Food quality was second to none; service excellent and friendly; atmosphere elegant but relaxed, and as there was a mixed up with our food, which resulted in a 5-minute delay only, the mamager took it to heart and offered us our champagne! Really a plazw I will be going to again! Thank you for a wonderful new year's eve dinner!

Table of 3 late afternoon. First time we have eaten at this particular restaurant and we were very pleased with our meal and the whole dining experience. Would recommend and definitely visit again.

Cote is always reliably good. the food is excellent and the service prompt. My mother who is hard of hearing , found it noisy, but it was not that busy for lunch and the acoustics are ok for most people

First of all, we called to book a table for two to be told that the restaurant was fully booked but they could give us a table at 830 pm (restaurant closing at 1030)! Went online and managed to book a table for 630! When we got to the restaurant, plenty of availibility!!! Ordered drinks from manager, but we never got them. Ordered some mayo ketchup etc... never got them neither.

Only 3 in the kitchen tonight, restaurant is heaving. Half an hour wait for starters, main course and one desserts. Very disappointing, I use this place once a week. In future will be avoiding festive period and bank holiday

We had an excellent evening in Côte Islington. Food was good and the ambiance excellent. Excellent service and and friendly hardworking waiting staff is what makes this place great. Thank you and merry Christmas

Great food good service and value for money and wonderful atmosphere

I have been to many Cote restaurant this was below my expectation and did not meet my needs and service I have expected it.

Nice place for meeting with friends. Food is very tasty. And vine is excelent. The only one thing that we had to wait quite long for our food. It is also friendly for people with children.
