Côte Islington

I love this branch of Cote. Good food and service. More space around the tables, feels bright and airy. The prestige set menu is a welcome addition.

Excellent food and service made our lunch-time reunion a delight. The menus offered considerable choice at very reasonable prices and we enjoyed the ambience and atmosphere.

In London on a weeks break, we dine regularly at our local Cote in Leamington Spa which is always good value. We were not disappointed, although they appeared short staffed with nearly full restaurant we were served in a friendly manner and the August Specials of Lamb Rump and Tuna were delicious. We would dine again!

The experience was amazing as always, the Mussels were perfect, my absolute favourite! I have also tried the Gin and Tonic cocktail and it was at another level! so so so good! to top it up, Gustavo made our experience unique! he is the absolute best thank you

You can always rely on meals at Cote being good quality and with the set menu offers they are also excellent value. We all enjoyed a pre-theatre meal here

We go to this restaurant once or twice a month, however, the last couple of meals there have not been the best - mainly down to over cooked food. Disappointed and hoping this is a blip rather than a trend, but two bad meals out of two visits is a bit alarming.

Disappointing, Staff didn’t recognise I had booked and had to remind staff my birthday reward for free Kir Royale twice and then I was still charged for these drinks

We had the bread, crab salad, chicken and walnut salad, potatoes and banana crepe. Everything was delicious including the white bottle of wine we drank.

Very good as always. Predictable and reliable. Nice waiters and waitresses. One criticism we couldn’t mic and match the starters and main courses between the main menu and the menu of the day - that seems very silly and irritating

It was my first visit to Cote in Islington but I am a regular at many other ''Cotes' around London and I always have a lovely experience when dining in a 'COTE' - Islington was no exception. I had a table of 5 and everyone enjoyed the food and the pleasant atmosphere and all agreed it was very good value and something they would be doing in the future. Once you eat in 'Cote' you are hooked !!!

The food was very good,service impeccable,friendly atmosphere table reserved as requested.The atmosphere was jolly ,French bistro style and was a good range of dishes to choose from.

Very good food (the crab starter and grilled chicken were excellent and I love their chips) and good atmosphere. Service was as good as usual

Had to sit at the table ourselves, food didn’t arrive at the same time, no cold water, waiters dropping food. By far the worst Cote Brasserie i have ever been to. Sort it out.

Very friendly and alert staff. Clean environment. And good atmosphere. Three of us spent the entire evening chatting as did several other tables. Could here yourself speak and tables spaced far enough apart not to disturb others, great venue!

Good food. Good value. Good atmosphere Attentive staff. What more do you need!!! A restaurant for all occasions. French breakfast has a wonderful boudin noir. Try the Breton Fish Stew beautiful.

This is one of my favourite restaurants, the specials for the summer period are amazing. the the aperitif is great and my favourite are the mussels. we will be back soon

We thoroughly enjoyed our lunch today at Cote Islington. The food was delicious and the service was attentive without being intrusive. Will definitely come back again.

A very pleasant meal in quiet surroundings - but seemed a bit too quiet for a saturday evening. However, much enjoyed and service excellent. Creme caramel as delicious as ever.

Was charged for the free wine so had to tell the waiter. This was for the second time of having to do this but otherwise was fine

We had a delicious meal. We each got a free kir royal and a starter to share as I signed up to cote rewards. I ordered mushroom buckwheat crepes, which was very tasty and filling and my companion had steak writes, which was cooked to perfection. Lovely staff and a very enjoyable experience.

Friendly helpful staff. We go to this resturant every year when attending an exhibition. Always good food, good service and it doesnt cost the earth.

Had a lovely evening evening as usual, food was excellent, staff and service could not fault. Only disappointing thing was where as my friends have received cotes latest wine offer in their emails ,l have not ,regards Rita.

All good and would have been top marks if the restaurant had not (bizarrely) run out of asparagus by 7:30pm … even though it's all the menu and a big-selling point! Some more imaginative non-dairy desserts than lemon sorbet would have been good, too.

Excellent bistro with friendly, attentive staff. Nice menu too which is reasonably priced. I’ve been visiting Côte for years and I’m consistently pleased wth the experience. Hope this continues!

Courteous service throughout the meal . Wide range of choice from the menu well prepared and presented supported by excellent red wine (La Garenne Syrah). Comfortable environment. A pleasant experience throughout.

Great! Had a great breakfast and stafff were very friendly. The building is also great. My Chinese friend was very impressed with the restaurant and took photos.

The food was the usual reasonable standard but the service was very slow.. However we were the last customers to leave and there was no sense that they wanted to get rid of us.

Beautiful food and lovely staff couldn’t fault it. We went quite late so was very quiet staff very attentitive. Clean drinks not badly priced kit Royal’s was lovely

Main courses arrived before we had been given the starters. They were sent back. When they arrived a second time both had to be sent back as the tuna was overdone and the fat on the pork belly not rendered. Never had this before at cote. A number of other tables were sending food back too and have never seen that either. We got big deductions from the bill....sort this out it used to be consistently very good

As usual, Cote on Islington Green was a delight. A great choice of food and good service. Perfect for entertaining friends. My family from California loved it.

The food is good. The lady is trying very hard to serve but there are too many tables booked for the night. She is doing great. The restaurant should keep one more staff. I wish my table can be set up in a better corner. I have difficulty in moving in and out. I like the tables near the front of the restaurant:)

your manager Carmen is superb also the staff, making my visit memorable. I will definitely be returning for another excellent meal, however most likely to Barbican Cote as that is my local!

The service and food were good, however neither of the starters we ordered were available, despite one being a ‘special’ of the day. The management were generous enough to remove the cost of our bottle of wine from the bill - which was a nice gesture.

Very pleasant pre- theatre meal. The house wine was just right for the food. Friendly and helpful service. Good value. We ate from the pre 7pm menu.

Good food every time. Service was quick and friendly and there were lots of options to choose from on the menu, including vegetarian. Reliable choice.
