Food was fine but our two glasses of Merlot were far too warm. We should have complained at the time and sent them back but were in a hurry.

Good, reliable place for coeliac, can always trust that it is actually gluten free! Though a few more gluten free brunch options would be great.

Very good food. Lovely service, great price. This restaurant is exceptional. Fresh, hot food served in good time. The coffee was very nice too. Highly recommended

Hey, it was Valentines and just before the evening rush, so I shouldn't expect miracles - but it wasn't as good as normal. The food was, but the service was that much more rushed and less attentive. However, everything was as it should be - remarkable considering the place was full - and my wife thought it was perfect. If everyone had been as the last waitress who took payment then I would have given top marks, as she was conversational, calm and very polite.

very nice friendly restaurant with good food and helpful staff, and not too expensive either. We had two courses each, my chicken was great, My companions had monkfish and crab , both of which were very good. we will return in due course. The manager used to work at the barbican Cote, and is very nice.

We went for our Anniversary Meal & had a fantastic night. We started with olives, delicious sourdough bread & butter and Cotes well known Calamari. It was all very delicious! For our main we had the Ribeye Steak with fries side of French beans and a Tomatoe, shallot & basil salad. The steak was cooked to perfection and was full of flavour. We accompanied the steak with their red wine which was the special of the months. Ended our meal with a chocolate soufflé & ice cream. The atmosphere was lovely as always & the staff friendly.

I think this branch has "stock control" issues; I go roughly once a week on a weekday evening arriving between 6.30-8pm; yesterday the main course of my choice was not available; last week the main course of my choice (a different choice) was not available; the week before neither my preferred starter nor main course were available (different dishes to subsequent weeks); the week before that was fine (hooray), but the week before that the starter was not available. Do they under order? I'm assuming they keep running out rather than the dishes being "off". It's disappointing. Do I give up on Cote, or do I try another branch?

Courteous service if a little slow. In a party of 4, all ordering different dishes on the set menu only one was not good. The venison Parmentier which was very dry.

Fantastic as usual: professional but friendly staff, attentive without being intrusive, let us stay after we finished and paid without any pressure to leave. Had the half grilled chicken with mushroom sauce and chips, which was tasty andbjuat the right portion size. This time we didn't have desserts, but will again in future I'm sure. :-)

Really good bistro style food, had the tastiest chicken in mushroom sauce I've ever had. It was a really busy Friday night but lthe service was still attentive. Definitely recommend.

Excellent food and good service. Have previously visited a Cote Brasserie in Kensington and had a similarly good experience. The only minor problem we had was that the optional service charge added to the bill took some time to remove and we were kept waiting to pay the bill. Apart from this all good!

Group of five including a child of nine.. table pre-booked. Manager not engaging, food not hot and attention to detail I.e. sauces required etc. not followed up. A very average experience especially as the restaurant not overly busy and quite a few diners have a protracted brunch which is well promoted.

Staff attentive, food good and made to feel no rush to vacate table. Good facilities including toilets and spacious layout of tables. Though only complaint soup could have been warmer having requested hot soup!

I have visited this restaurant a lot. The quality of the food and the cooking has gone down recently, and I have had 2 disappointing experiences within a couple of days. The chef must have changed, and not for the better

We booked For lunch time on a Sunday in January as there was a wine promotion - a free bottle of red or white wine with orders from the a la carte menu. Our food was delicious - my husband had the rump of lamb on roasted vegetables and I had a rib eye steak. Service was, as always excellent. I recommend the Islington Cote - always a pleasure to eat there.

We go here a lot. Always reliable - food always good and staff super polite and helpful with January's complimentary bottle of wine automatically offered.

Côte is always great value and food was delicious. I used a voucher from a visit last year, so we enjoyed a free bottle of wine - even better!

The service was excellent and staff attentive but discreet. The food was really delicious, all three courses. The other people at the table also had a very good experience. We come regularly and think this our best visit yet.

Once again a very pleasant evening . Nice to see the restaurant full. Not too loud so able to talk. Food good and the Merlot was a nice wine on a cold and wet evening.

Had the pork which was nice but not enough meat and not enough bread/toast with the pate., white wine was very nice. Dessert was a very small portion for price.

Staff were a bit over-stretched but food was good and ambiance nice. Eggs were cold in my vegetarian breakfast but all dishes were served simultaneously. Difficult to get eye contact with waitress but manageress stepped in. Reasonably priced too.

Excellent service and delicious food. For a chain restaurant you won’t get better. Atmosphere is warm and welcoming and staff are friendly and attentive. Highly recommend.
