Côte Highgate

Excellent service and steaks were perfectly cooked. Never had a bad meal in Cote. We received complimentary aperitifs which were delicious. Can’t recommend Cote highly enough!

We often eat in Muswell Hill and Highgate Cotes. We've never been disappointed (although Muswell Hill is a bit noisy) and the service is excellent.

Very good: only you ran out of bread, which for a French restaurant is incredible! Service was rather slow (25 mins. to bring aperitifs!), but food was excellent as usual

Good food and service. It’s a pleasant ambiance. The prices are reasonable but less so when you add vegetable side dishes. I’d prefer at least one vegetable accompaniment with my main course and a complimentary basket of bread with my starter!

Set menu had a very good choice. We took the mackerel to start with which was a generous portion and plaice as a main course. The bonus was that we could sit outside in the sun. Really good experience. Thank you.

A very good meal at Cote Highgate. Steak frites tasty and cooked perfectly. Salad Nicoise with tuna was excellent. Good efficient service. Will come again. Enjoyed our free drinks as part of July offer

2 good meals. 1 overcooked and returned. Cote offered an alternative but this was refused so a bottle of wine was given to compensate. Waitress excellent. Yvonne

Our overall experience was good but I suspect there were staff issues as we seemed to have 3 different people dealing with us. Service was a little forgetful but the food was as good as you would expect and as we managed to get a table outside it was very pleasant, despite having to wait 10 minutes for the servers to clear and lay the table for us.

everything was fine except the pate was warm and the burrer on top was liquid. An alternative had to be chosen. No wine cooler was offered in spite of it being one of the hottest evenings of tbe year. Otherwise everything was good

Four of us had a delicious lunch. Service a bit slow. Too few staff probably. They missed the coffees off the bill but when we mentioned it they did not charge us. Very kind goodwill gesture. Overall, very pleasant.

Wonderful ambience. Excellent food. Friendly staff. We have long enjoyed Cote for dinner and have recently discovered that it is also a perfect local venue for breakfast and brunch.

We were greeted on arrival and given a nice table near the terrace. We had calamari to start which was nice but a little overlooked, the Cod Goujons with a very nice bottle of Rosé. The service was good, the restaurant had a nice atmosphere and was very busy. The staff were friendly and cheerful.

Cote in Highgate is special for its layout - quiet spaces, upper level, a pleasure to be there and of course the food is first rate.

Excellent pre-theatre dinner for 6 of us, served quickly by very friendly staff. All chose from the set menu, and food was delicious, especially the sea bream. Well done Cote Highgate, consistently good food, service and value.

Great breakfast, the coffee takes too long to come to the table, that is the only part that is slow. I highly recommend breakfast. F

Cote in Highgate has been an important part of Highgate villages life for many a year. It went through ups and downs. Last time I ate here one year ago I left disappointed but one year on, since the change of management the restaurant improved greatly and it is worth a visit.

Food good as always, creme caramel to die for. staff are always friendly & welcoming. Unusually for Cote service was slow & we had to rush our 2nd & 3rd courses as we were off to the theatre, no chance to really enjoy meal at relaxed pace, hence the lower rating.

Very friendly and efficient service, from host to server. The menu is nothing outlandish but a special menu was also available and tasty good food was served!

The food was great and well presented as on a previous visit and we were well looked after. We enjoyed the free bottle of wine.

Team is always amazing; attentive and considerate with great humour even when busy. The mums with young children need to learn some manners; quiet please!

Excellent service and good food. Perhaps a few crayons with a mini activity book for kids could be a good addition for guests with children.

We went for the Prix Fixe at £19.99, three courses -mussels were fine (but Côte should give a few slices of bread and butter for liquid)- goats cheese salad was nicely presented and tasty. Salmon dish very moist and well presented . Herby chicken was tender and moist with hot frites - apple pie and vanilla ice cream was a little over cooked so quite dry and too heavy after the meal. Nice ambiance inside restaurant - I will do a more comprehensive review on my Trip Advisor post.

We had a great time last Saturday at the rear of the restaurant which is open to the outside weather sheltered by a hugh Parasol. The food if highly recommended & very reasonably priced for the standard of food you receive especially the monthly specials. Staff are extremely friendly & assertive. All tables inside & outside of the restaurant are well spaced so there's plenty of room for dinners

The staff are friendly, the ambiance is peaceful, there is no music so we can hear the conversation and, last but not least, the food is very good and consistently so.

We have been having dinner at Cote for years but have only recently started going there for breakfast. An excellent selection, cooked to perfection and very good value.

Beautiful restaurant - perfect for warm cosy meals inside as well as al fresco sunny lunches on the gorgeous terrace. It feels like being on holiday before the food has even arrived. In the last two weeks I have enjoyed a wonderful tuna nicoise a and delicious lamb with potato dauphinois. Very friendly welcoming service too. We will return very soon!

All round good food, good value and very good service. Accommodated special dietary need without any fuss and even made sauce substitutions for a couple of dishes!

Great food & good value based on the lunchtime menu. This is not the first time I've visited Cote Highgate & as ever the ambiance and service was good. I will go back.

Service was mostly very good although the waitress cleared the plates for two of us before our guest had finished her starter - not a big issue but not right. Food good but rather too much mustard in my wife’s chicken salad. Overall it was a very nice lunch and we were well looked after.

Nice meal, service fair but they forgot the desserts & had to remind them after 20 minutes. Pleasant surroundings, nice to go to a restaurant & be able to enjoy a conversation without loud music, enjoyable.

Breakfast at Côte is always a treat. The vegetarian breakfast is second to none and great value considering it comes with a hot drink and fresh orange, all for just over a tenner. What do they put in the vegetarian sausage? It's fantastic, tastier than a real pork one!

As always we enjoyed our meal in our favourite Cote. Undoubtedly it is the best of all of them and I've tried many! It is exceptionally good value and the food never disappoints.
