Côte Highgate

A most reliable restaurant where the food is always good and the service friendly. We went at noon at the weekend so both the breakfast and the lunch menus were available. The formulu breakfast - cooked breakfast plus juice and hot drink is good value.

Simply great food, great atmosphere, great services , that's why we we keep going back to our favorite restaurant in Highgate, we highly recommend this restaurant to all.

The service was friendly and efficient. If dining before 7pm there is a very good 3 course fixed price menu. Food prepared with an eye for detail. Lucky to have such a restaurant outside Central London

Good food and excellent service. Very good value early evening menu, ideal for pre-theatre meal. Recommend the soup...tasty, hot and filling. Hake was also good, cooked just right.

An excellent, good value breakfast for small group. The service was slow, but Sunday morning is very busy! Alas, they had run out of boudin noir; should have got there earlier...

I had a very good experience - good food, excellent seafood linguini in the nice relaxed ambience. In particular, as it was unusually sunny and warm, I liked having an opportunity to dine in the restaurant's patio.

Service rather slow and food below Cote's normally high standard. The Pork dish was not fully cooked. I had to wait about 15 minutes, before I was asked if I wanted a drink, admittedly my friend who I was meeting there was late, but that did not seem a good enough excuse not to ask if I would like a drink. The restaurant was empty, so the staff were not suffering from overwork!

Le Cote at Highate is our favorite Restaurant as the food & service is sublime. There is a good Vibe & there are always monthly specialist to enhance the already impressive Menu. Kevin & Teresa

Cote is two doors away from my home so we drop in most Friday evenings after work. Love the food, super staff, it's a cosy bistro experience.

First time ever the service and food was a fraction off - 40 minute wait as they misread the order (not a major issue), steak was a little overdone and not quite 'minute' and generally a fraction below par for what I think is the best 'chain' restaurant in North London. Will obviously be back as hoping this is a one off?! :-/

We found the food was good . It was hot . We did not want chips and were given a salad instead. Plenty of choices on menu

Delicious food, pleasant ambience and good service. And, .We restaurant walkable from home! Good to come here regularly with friends. We shall return very soon.

Consistent as always, the food was well prepared and served by friendly and attentive staff. The restaurant was quiet on the evening of our visit which, I am sure, helped.

Always enjoy Cote in Highgate village. Unfortunately on this occasion one of the specials was disappointing - most unusual but staff were helpful and courteous in dealing with it. So it didn’t spoil the evening. If you’ve not been to this branch of Cote - go and enjoy good food and wine in a friendly atmosphere.

The waiting staff were fantastic, especially Dom. It was unexpectedly busy for a Tuesday night, as apparently a local power cut meant people came out to eat instead. But the staff were helpful and attentive despite being run off their feet. They coped with the stress whilst still having a smile on their faces. The food was good too!

Good food and generally good service apart from one senior member of staff who is not suited to being a waiter. Fair prices and good atmosphere.

Great staff. Menu just the right amount of choices and food was high quality and good portions. The atmosphere is friendly and private too. I noticed a couple of single diners and looked happy which means the mood is right for everyone.

This is a very reliable local. There were eight of us and everything we ordered was competently prepared. The tuna steak (an August special) was very fresh (although it was not medium rare as promised, more medium well). It was not a busy Sunday and the members of staff were all effiicient, helpful and attentive.

I like going to Cote, the food and service are reliably good, the ambiance friendly and not too noisy and the seats comfortable, often sofas, so if you are slightly elderly or like cosying up to your companion, that is particularly attractive.

My steak was terrible. I sent it back, the staff were lovely but my main course was completely unacceptable. I know it was the pre-theatre menu, but even so, the steak was horrible.

Outstanding food and service! I went there for my birthday and we had a wonderful evening, thanks very much to everyone at Cote Highgate! Never disappoints.

Deserts were poor and disappointing, e.g. lemon tart was made with lemon curd not slices of lemon, everything else very good. One of the nicer Cotes we have visited.

every time we visit the staff are friendly and look after you ,and the food is always perfect ,never have a problem recommending to family and friends

Very relaxed late Sunday lunch on beautiful shaded terrace during recent heatwave. Service is always top quality at this branch and although we both opted for our steak frites favourite the August specials looked lovely. Pavlova was excellent.

Excellent G&Ts, chilli prawns and chicken. Friendly service and you can sit in the air-conditioned cool of the main restaurant or outside under a large umbrella.

The staff are always so lovely and the food is never a disappointment. plus the complimentary gin and tonics were a delicious bonus this visit.

Lovely early evening menu for the summer and delightful staff to serve it! The whole experience was lots of fun. The drinks menu was also wide-ranging.

Excellent service and delicious food. The rump of lamb was fine-textured and succulent and cooked perfectly to specification. Their creme caramel was as usual the best I have ever had and I’m a connoisseur.

I am a regular visitor to Cote hIGHGATE, but on this occasion I had to return my duck twice, as firstly it was overcooked, and second time was raw!! By this time, I wasn't hungry, didn't want a replacement, had apple tart and left!

As always, service was prompt and friendly . And when we accidentally spilled our free “cocktail “ it was swiftly replaced by a fresh one. Sitting outside on a warm summer evening made it feel like on holiday

Good Set menu. Both mine and my husband's choices were good and well prepared. Service was quick and efficient. More water offered would have been helpful.

Food quality and Service are very good, as ever. Recommended. One blip: one cannot order the soup on the Specials Menu unless you choose another dish from that Menu - which, last night, I did not want to - I ordered the excellent Breton Fish Stew from the main A la Carte menu. Had to do without the soup! Strange Management rule from a company which generally get things right.

Food very good. Server also very helpful but clearly overworked - there seems to have been a reduction in staffing levels. Manageress has rather piercing loud voice but also helpful.

As always delicious French food, nece garden seating, perfect service, worth the final bill :-). No doubt I will come back again in foreseeble future/

Makeral wasntcwarm. Plaice dish was tasteless and basil mash a real disappointment. It wasn’t even busy to say that was part of the reason. Also waitress wasn’t very helpful

A great meal from the set menu was absolutely delicious. Cold Tomato soup (so refreshing) followed by Cod and Mashed Potatoes, delicate and perfect for lunch, and we ended with chocolate mousse. The Highgate branch is large and spacious and the staff are friendly.

The welcome was warm and friendly. Unfortunately the minute steaks were like leather and inedible. The staff were very apologetic and tried hard to rectify the situation. We chose the chicken instead and that was fine. We were given a discount at the end which was appreciated.
