Côte Highgate

Not the best visit. We regularly visit cote but this was not great. Very sullen waitress. I asked for a bottle of crement de Bourgogne which was repeated to me but when I had first taste I looked at the bottle neck foil and saw I had been served Champagne . I had been shown the label but my fault I didn't see at that time . Decided not to mention it as was a nice wine and would spoil our evening.

Lovely Easter family celebration..13 people... attentive waitress and tasty food. Helpful staff and nice ambience. I would recommend Cote. To cater for your family celebrations. Liked the pre order option as it saves massively on ‘waiting time’. Pam

We particularly enjoyed our experience at Highgate Cote Brasserie last night. The quality of food and presentation was spot on. As usual the service was commendable and friendly.

Service is brilliant, food is the best in the high st, doesn't matter which Cotes I go to, Sloane, Highgate, Charlotte at etc, the quality is throughout, not easy to achieve that standard, but they exceed

food was good. However what surprised me was the old "coffee machine turned off". Why??? Don't accept the booking if you can't offer a full service. And if you are going to turn off the coffee machine then at least tell customers and give them chance to order first. Very poor

Overall it was a good experience with delicious complimentary gin and tonic, attentive staff and relaxed atmosphere. I was disappointed with the monkfish because it was over cooked and even tough and the mushroom sauce was much too salty.

Great meal, it was a friends 60th birthday made very special by cote. Attentive staff, delicious food. Will be back very soon.

Very enjoyable lunch - good value tasty food with lots of choice and very friendly staff. The praline crepe with caramelised bananas was to die for.

Thank you for the very helpful and attentive service for our group meal for 11 people. Everyone commented on the delicious food. That and the personal care that was taken, helping as we decorated the table as we wished, and serving food by name (because we'd pre-ordered) helped make this a very special evening for us all.

The manager of this branch of Cote and his team make every visit a great pleasure. It has become our favourite neighbourhood restaurant. The food is always dependably good, as is the service. Tonight we went to celebrate my partner's 50th birthday and they even let us bring our own cake!

Excellent, friendly service. Good food. Pleasant ambience - not too noisy but cheerful. Very good value for money from the pre 7pm menu. One waiter went beyond what was expected. Great evening.

My friends and I enjoyed our lunch outside. The service was the best so far as I have been to Cote in Highgate many times, the Hungarian waitress, sorry do not recall her name, was delightful and very attentive and welcoming. The cre'me Caramel is really the best in London and my Fish Parmetier was excellent. Well done, see you again soon.

Amazing evening, Philippa was incredible and we were well looked after. The table space needed to be larger on the sofa side but we sorted that no problem. We're glad we got to celebrate our engagement with our family at Cote Highgate. The booking process was not great at the beginning but once sorted and clarified, the pre ordering was simple.

Nice staff and a great environment. Not to casual not too fussy. Great choice on menu and those house wines are superb!

Another great meal for the children and I at Cote in Highgate! I had the tuna salad and my children had the steak frites which they love. Please don’t ever close!

Service and ambience as good as always. Food not as good as usual. Friends food was just warm not hot and the flavours in the Fishcake a bit bland.

We had a free cocktail but it was disappointing. It had so many ice cubes that you could not taste any of the ingredients. The smoked salmon that is usually so good was salty and some of it rather dry. If indeed you have a new supplier - please revert to the previous one. The mains were good as were the desserts. Service was fine too.

Cote in Highgate never disappoints. Food and service excellent. So nice to see familiar faces of members of staff who are always welcoming.

We had a super evening we love dining at our local Cote

I had the charcuterie plate to start. The duck rillette tasted like it was slightly on the turn. My dessert, the pancake with cream, chocolate and bananas, had a 'fridge' taste to it, as if one of the ingredients (I feel the actual pancake) had been in the fridge for a while and had absorbed the smells of the other foods. Have had great meals at Cote Highgate before but this was slightly disconcerting as it made me question the freshness of the food. Hope this feedback is in some way useful.

Food and atmosphere good and to usual standard but staff member who served us was hopeless. Clearly did not know menu or wine list incapable of splitting our bill as she stated she was too tired!

Very nice meal from the evening fixed price menu - everything very tasty. The French onion soup was very concentrated indeed, but good for a winter's night. The service was attentive and pleasant, and the ambience in the restaurant is attractive and relaxed. If we do have a criticism, it's the mark-up on wine, especially by the glass. Even the cheapest on the menu was over £6 per glass, which puts up the price of the whole meal unnecessarily, in my opinion. Still, will certainly visit again, quite soon!

My mother and I are regular Cote customers, I find that the area your staff occupy for their breaks should be out of the restaurant, they all sit in an area up the stairs eating free Cote food in front of customers and can be quite noisy, I put this down to their age they all seen incredibly young, it seems unfair that one is paying for food which staff are eating for free in full view of other diners. I have never seen this before in any restuarant
