Côte Haywards Heath

Great first night back in Cote Brasserie. Very Busy outside not lots of space inside with loads of distance between tables. Lots of sanitiser being used frequently by staff so felt safe. Food and service excellent as usual. Really glad that the home delivery service is going to continue it was one of the joys of lockdown

Really well done to all at Cote Hayward’s Heath. First day open after 4 months and all very good indeed. Good atmosphere and all well-organised to deal with the restrictions, and the food was pretty good too!

So delighted to see this branch of Cote, reopen. We were able to eat outside & it was perfect in every respect. The standard of customer service was excellent, & the food superb. It was certainly a 5 star experience.

So nice to be back having delicious food with fabulous service! We will be back again soon!

We were very pleased to see the Staff back from furlough and they made us very welcome, They were all wearing the items recommended by the Government and we had a very happy return after the Lock Down. Thanks to you all. Diana and John.

Côte is a chain restaurant but it raises its level far beyond anyone else who falls into that category. The food is superb, this evening we had the “June Special” and it was simply superb. The wine we had was excellent and food value and the service. As ever, commendable. Overall, superb value for the whole experi nice. Cote does make you feel you are sitting in a bistro in France and the Haywards Heath branch is a credit to its brand. Consistently excellent on every level.

Always top marks for Cote. Staff very pleasant and helpful... service always good.. I have been impressed, when in the odd time something has gone wrong, an immediate correction is put in place. Food good .. monthly offers amazing. Recommend totally.. Cote really do it right.. used them in many towns and cities.

Our lunch was very disappointing. We both ordered Chicken and Walnut Salad. There was plenty of chicken but we both struggled to find the walnuts. There was hardly any in it. There was also supposed to be avocado. It had the tiniest pieces. It just seemed to be a whole bed of leaves that were very dry. No dressing to speak of. We did mention the lack of walnuts and some were brought in a dish but the whole thing was very unsatisfactory for £13.95. We were having a fairly late lunch. Service was good to start with but then seemed to die off towards the end. We had quite a job getting someone's attention to bring us the bill.

Good food at a good price - what more is there to say? I was catching up with a friend whom I hadn't seen in 25 years, so we stayed over 3 hours at lunchtime. No-one hurried us, and service stayed consistently friendly and prompt throughout the time we were there. Will definitely be returning.

Our (simple) order came out wrong, then when the correct food arrived the eggs were really over cooked so we had to send them back. The new eggs were good but the toast was burnt on half and basically bread on the other, but by then we’d given up and just ate it. The service was fine but very slow. I eat in various branches of Cote quite often and this time was a big disappointment. I would now reconsider before I visit again.

Had a superb meal out with friends at Cote in Haywards Heath. Fantastic service and a really good menu. Food was well presented and very enjoyable. Great to see a totally separate GF menu and to hear that a vegan menu is on the way soon.

Yesterday once again a fantastic meal and evening and excellant staff, a very good team. The monthly special menu change is always exciting to try and we have never been disappointed with the quality of food or staff.

Great welcome; really good service. Lovely food. Complimentary cocktail went down nicely! This branch has the insurmountable problem of a low ceiling and consequently is VERY noisy. A bit pricy but nevertheless a very nice meal out.

We enjoyed the evening .The food was good , as always . The staff were pleasant , but , although not busy the service was extremely slow . We don't like to be rushed , but we were looking around , waiting to order our food .

Like this place but service not the best Wife didn’t get her mash potato till she had finished her meal Pepper sauce watery compared to normal standard. Won’t put us off coming back but slightly under par this trip

Generally very good but, once again we encountered a problem when some of our party order a steak. The non-steak orders are always fine, but the steak order is always cold, as though it has been cooked first and put to one side. In fairness, you always replace it and do not charge but it upsets the balance of the meal and leaves one person twiddling their thumbs while the rest of us are eating! It has got to the point where we will order either all steaks, or no steaks unless you can resolve this, for us, ongoing problem.

Food was fine but the service was poor. We waited ages for someone to come so we could pay our bill. Then we gave up and went to counter to pay, only to be told they had an issue with the till. Up to that point, no one had told us why we had been waiting and the place was not exactly busy.

We came for breakfast and were very surprised at the amazing breakfast deal that was on. Fab food and amazing service from the wonderful staff.

A quiet Thursday lunchtime. Service was good, food was average.

As usual the food was excellent and together with the good service we had from the friendly staff we can’t fault it , and will return very soon .

It’s always a pleasure to eat at Haywards Heath Cote really friendly staff and the always appear to be enjoying their jobs. Well done all of them.

Good food and good service as always. Good value too. Going back for breakfast later today. Excellent English breakfast with juice and coffee and toast.

We come here quite frequently. It can be too noisy because of the low ceilings, but last night it was say 75% full and conversation was possible. We were treated by a lady who used to be a waitress but seems to have been deservedly promoted. We were seated efficiently and she served our complimentary drinks very quickly. Our main waitress Bobbi was charming, funny and very professional and efficient. Food was all outstanding....delicious calamari, filet steaks with peppercorn sauce, cheese board and a creme brûlée. As well as some beers, a bottle of red and two glasses of the dearer port, it all camein, including service to £177. Not cheap but the quality was well reflected.

Disappointed with food, we have been several times before and food has been great, we came for a birthday celebration but the pate for starters was watery and sent back and some of our mains was only just warm and my son had a kids sausages and the carrots were raw!

Good service and good food. And not pretentious! Free bottle of wine was great too!

An excellent meal enjoyed by all four of us. My Lamb Rump was particularly good. It all got a bit complicated with the bill as we were mixing a la carte with set menus but I thing we got there in the end! As usual, the staff were a delight.

Managers great, waiters not interested. Not a great experience. Food average. Not that happy with the experience. Managers were the only thing that made the experience ok.

Lovely dinner as always at Côte Haywards Heath. Dined from the March specials menu, loved the warm prawn salad starter. Excellent service, staff are so friendly!

Your customer service from when we entered was top class. The young Australian lady was so lovely to us . Friendly, attentive and professional. It made our 60 th birthday meal very special for our friend. Thank you

All good! Food was great, service very good. Cote is usually pretty reliable.

Disappointed we had to wait over half an hour for our starter. Restaurant was not full to capacity- one of the mains that arrived was like warm. We informed the staff and to their credit were very apologetic on behalf of the kitchen. They dealt with it with utmost professionalism so a credit to the establishment. I put it down to a glitch as I have not had any problems with other Côte Brasserie’s.

Superb food and outstanding service. Made a good evening into a really special one. Thank you to all staff. One suggestion I would like to add, however, is that a 12.5% "optional" gratuity was automatically added to the bill. I would prefer this to be my choice both to add, and the value I add. I felt 12.5% was above the national average and should not be pushed onto people.

The food took a while to come but was excellent and I thought that the set menu was good value with a lot of choice if you want to keep the price down. The atmosphere was pleasant and the staff attentive. I would like to go back again and sit someehere else as we were near a table of very noisy people so it was quite difficult to hear conversation on our table. Otherwise a good experience.

Excellent service. Perfect venue for a relaxed good quality meal. Would recommend to any coeliac looking for somewhere with a varied gluten free menu.

Maintaining consistency of great food and friendly helpful staff. As usual we thoroughly enjoyed the meal and complementary cocktail was a nice touch to the occasion.

As always good food and service, we always wish that noise levels at Haywards Heath could be reduced, maybe some sound absorbing panels in the ceiling?

As a repeat customer, the food is consistently good as is the service but we waited slightly longer than usual yesterday for service and for our food. Not long enough to warrant complaining but just an observation that the service is usually very fast but yesterday was average at best. As it was Sunday we just had another coffee and enjoyed the company. We will definitely be back another day.

Excellent breakfast as always! I thought the cooked breakfast was even more delicious than usual - I particularly enjoyed the thyme on the top of the tomatoes. My guest appreciated the gluten free menu very much, and especially enjoyed the smoked salmon and scrambled eggs, which did indeed look delicious! Service and welcome were impeccable.

We love Cote Brasserie, we have been to Horsham many times, Exeter twice and now Haywards Heath. And had a great meal at all of them. Good well cooked and presented food. Staff very friendly and helpful. You won’t be disappointed!

Not quite up to the usual standard. We had to wait .....and wait for our starters. Come on. Shape up Cote. Better next time hopefully.

This was a rather disppointing evening . Firstly we greatly appreciated the attentiveness and service of the staff who could not be faulted . The ambience of the reataurant is problematic as the decor design takes no account of the fact that everything is composed of hard surfaces within an eclosed space . When the restaurant is full the noise levels are unacceptably high . As people talk to one another and have difficulty in being heard they raise their voices and this has the knock-on effect of everyone talking loudly which becomes very uncomfortable . It encouraged us to hasten our meal and leave . As regards the food , the lamb was very good but the rissotto vert was poor . The rice was stodgy and overcooked - after a few mouthsfull our guest found it inedible. While we enjoyed the seabass - well cooked and 2 good sized fillets - its accompaniment was only fennel and watercress . This dish needed an extra texture such as saute potatoes . We asked for these and they were happily provided but I'd suggest that an offering of potatoes be made at the time of the ordering of the dish .

Though it was busy and we didn’t get a table outside which was our preference (bank holiday lovely weather) it was still a pleasure to dine. The staff were friendly and apologetic for the delays. My Poached eggs were forgotten but the staff member quickly rectified and again apologised.

We have visited various C'B's and invariably have a starter (sometimes shared) and steak frites which we particularly like as a an early 'light meal' (when we often visit). On this occasion, one of the steaks was disappointing as it contained some gristle(?). We mentioned this to the waitress, who apologised and said she would report it to the manager/chef. But we received no feedback, which was disappointing not least because the restaurant was pretty quiet at the time. Guess we will give it a miss for a while, there are plenty of other venues locally.

Good food, a bit slow between the starter and main. But the food was good and service gethin are waitress was good. She was a lovely pleasent lady.

Full English breakfast was superb and the deal you get for £10.50 is really good as it includes juice and a hot drink. Will go back and would recommend.

Excellent - we were in a rush to get to the theatre due to traffic problems. The food was excellent as always and the waiting staff attentive, friendly and responsive.
