Côte Haywards Heath

The restaurant was initially very quiet but then more diners arrived. The service was good, the food excellent as always. A very enjoyable evening out.

Lovely food. We booked champagne brunch but champagne plus all ordered drinks didn’t arrive until we had nearly finished eating. Very disappointing not just for us but for all the other customers who were experiencing the same problem after all Mothers Day is supposed to be a special day. I hate to criticise Cote because I have always had such excellent food and service but on this occasion I feel I have to. Staff were just brilliant but just couldn’t cope. This experience will not stop us from returning.

Lovely breakfast for my wife's first mothers day. Some staff could have been a bit happier to be there! All in all a lovely breakfast.

We had an excellent experience at Cote Haywards Heath. The Birthday celebration was enjoyed by us all. We were looked after well from the beginning. Food was up to standard - good - and all plates were cleared happily. Looking forward to next year already.

The service was efficient and the food very tasty. Food arrived promptly with good size portions. Great atmosphere and attentive waiter. Would definitely return again.

Only criticism was the noise levels - we had to move tables because we just couldn't hear a thing!!! Food and service excellent though. Many thanks to the staff.

Good food, nice atmosphere and speedy efficient service. It’s good that most of the tables are outward facing, so you don’t have to look at walls!

Both the food and service were excellent at Haywards Heath. We have visited 'Cotes' for lunch/dinner in other towns as high standards of food and service are maintained across the whole chain. There is no likelihood of disappointment.

Very friendly staff, service was efficient. Quality of food was good. We were surprised by the bill, meal was expensive. We had one bottle of wine two courses and two coffees, bill came to £101 for 2 people. Would prefer to decide ourselves how much to tip rather than have 12.5% added automatically.

We were greeting by a friendly lady who allowed us to sit where we preferred. Due to an intolerance with cheese I discussed with the waitress how I could order various items from different choices on the menu. All very obliging. Food lovely and hot. No reaction. Well done. Would go again in the future. Thank you.

The set menus are such good value and there is a great choice for each course. Food is of a good standard and the service is impressive. Tasty meals for vegetarians too. Birthday Kir Royales were an added bonus.

Welcoming, not rushed ...good service and food. Busy lunchtime but staff both front of house and in the kitchen coped well...reliable restaurant to meet girlfriends for a meal.

Had a great experience at Cote Haywards Heath yet again! Super food and wine, staff are extremely helpful and friendly. The atmosphere is perfect; the ideal place for a great lunch!

Love Côte but disappointed with the confit duck, also 4 of us and we paid £31 “optional” service charge- ridiculous! Excellent service as usual though

Always fantastic food and service! We have visited Cote Haywards heath on numerous occasions with friends and family and it stands out in the area for quality.

Not as good as it usually is but it was in the middle of a period of snow with amber warnings in force. It was very acceptable but fell short of the usual excellent standard.

Nice surroundings friendly staff and very good food. No pressure so just sit back and enjoy your meal. Nice wine selection to go with the range of dishes on offer.

We were in a party of 4& the food was very good but the 2 plates of the seabass dish could have been hotter as it went cold quickly. The staff were pleasant too.

Well presented food. Waitress rushed taking our pre-dinner drinks order - missed part of our drinks order. Then rushed clearing the table and knocked food onto the floor. Saying that the staff were very pleasant.

Fantastic service and great food. We visited Cote for a birthday celebration and we were given Kir Royale drinks on the house which was a really nice touch and made our meal even more enjoyable. 10/10 for the team here.

Always a great place to eat and socialise and service is always great and friendly, great menu and reasonably priced. This is my favourite restaurant in Haywards Heath town.

Booked a birthday meal for three. Friendly greeting, excellent food, most enjoyable. Restaurant busy throughout. Husband most impressed with the Coq au vin, I loved the Creme Caramel.

The quality of the food and service were top notch as always! Perfect steak, fish stew and confit duck with a starter of the best calamari around! Definitely my favourite restaurant in Haywards Heath.

We have been to Cotes in Haywards Heath fairy regularly, but not usually on a Wednesday. Usually we have a lovely meal. Tonight the meal was nice but not great. We also ordered a fresh mint tea that never arrived.

Great food and service. The menu had a wide selection of French classics. Probably not the best place for vegetarians though. I will definitely be going back.

We are regulars to Cote in Haywards Heath and have never had poor service. The food is always excellent and the set menu is amazing value (there is an a la carte menu available too). We will be back!

Table too close to front door, got cold every time someone came in. Restaurant very busy so service not great and way too expensive considering we only had 1 alcoholic drink between the 4 of us and only 3 courses but still £137.

Good menu as always - got in just in time for set menu option. Polite staff. Quiet background music - nothing too obtrusive. Monday evening, so not very busy and not noisy.

As always the service was excellent, but the main course was not as good as usual today. Having said that, the starter and dessert were very good and it wouldn't stop me going back!

Food was delicious, but then never had a bad meal at Cote. Staff looked a little bit hassled/stressed, but the service was good if a little slow at times.

As ever, a very enjoyable meal, pleasant surroundings and could have a conversation without loud background noise. Food up to usual high standard- but could have been warmer. Service very good.

Excellent well cooked food well presented Very good value for money Sadly there were very few people having lunch which is unusual on a Friday Despite few people the service was slow and the restaurant seemed to be understaffed.
