Côte Haywards Heath

Visited due to treating wife to birthday. Good food. Reasonably priced. Cracking Creme Caramel.

We sat outside which was most pleasant especially as the waitress said that no smoking is allowed if people are eating. A very good idea. She put the heater on initially and then turned it off. She was excellent. We thoroughly enjoyed our evening.

I have a bit of a love hate view of this Cote. This occasion was outstanding apart from the one thing they can't easily fix - the acoustics. Four of us chose different mains - a Ribeye, Salmon, Chicken and Bacon Wrapped Haddock and all of us agreed they were top draw. Desserts for three of us only were Chocolate Fondant, Coupe Noir and Ice Cream - all again got the 5star vote! We had booked claiming this month's complimentary cocktail - a Negroni. Never had it before and honestly found it rather bitter but certainly potent. Otherwise it was two large glasses of Merlot, a large glass of Chardonnay and a large Bombay Gin and Slimline Tonic - generously poured and nicely presented. Our server was Maisie and quite honestly I have to say we have never had a better experience. She was super efficient, offered appropriate advice, had a great sense of humour and was always available. She is a gem.

Everything was good except we had to wait too long for our coffee

the busiest I have ever seen it - it was fathers day. Very hot in the restaurant which was a bit uncomfortable, and very noisey. Starter arrived very quickly however there was quite a wait for the main course, but presumably this was because it was so busy.

Went for Father’s Day breakfast - really nice food and good coffee. Friendly, efficient service. Will be going back!

Lunch with my sister (and her 18month old little boy). The waitress really looked after us - seating us at a nice private table for four with room at the end for the baby chair. Food was great and service excellent.

Seems the kitchen has improved, last time we sent food back and left. This time it was spot on. Service was a little rough around the edges not recognising any of the waiting stuff. Recommended now.

Have had much better meals at Cote in the past. This was so noisy even the waiter was complaining! Good service but seemed expensive.

We go to Cote in Haywards Heath and Brighton a lot. It's very good value and the staff are always friendly

First time visit to Haywards Heath. However, no need to worry. Attentive staff, good food, well cooked and presented and a good location made for another lovely lunch.

Had a great lunch at the Cote, good service, food was great and the price I think is reasonable for a good meal.

Food quality average and space between tables poor along with people with just drinks being allowed to join diners to remove any privacy at all. Poor experience and won’t be returning

Quality of service exceptional with good food up to the high standard expected of Cote. Our experience always makes our return a pleasure.

We had a lovely birthday lunch that was made very enjoyable by the waiter and, of course, the food. It is a very reliable restaurant for a special treat.

We arrived early and were able to be seated which was great. The food was amazing the service a little slow, but overall we really enjoyed our lunch.

We had not been to Cotes for a while but were very pleased to be back. Everything from the initial greeting, the ease of ordering the food and the meal itself was fantastic. We will be returning very soon.

Tasty food in smart surroundings served by attentive staff. Good value overall, though portion size could have been more generous.

Very pleasant food, exceptional service, just a little noisy but we'd happily make a return visit
