Côte Haywards Heath

Couldn't fault the service, staff were attentive and friendly, but was fairly underwhelmed by the food French onion soup was pretty small, and one of slightly disappointing in flavor, Rib eye steak ordered rare, but arrived medium rare and medium in the middle. Partner's risotto was bland. First experience of a Cote, and probably the last.

Shame about the Veal - But Staff did all they could to compensate - overall - a party of 11 - was very enjoyable - Staff were brilliant !

Fantastic ,seasonal, freshly prepared food. Wonderful vibrate atmosphere. Attentive, friendly and efficient staff. Service was excellent . The Cote chain is a reliable brand that does not disappoint whatever restaurant you go to.

Fabulous ladies lunch 3 generations celebrating 83rd birthday. Attention to detail and service 2nd to none including surprise birthday cake! Great job will definitely come again.

Lovely service, we were the last ones in the restaurant by quite a while and were not rushed at all! Was really touched by the kind service - we had a voucher and the servers kindly gave us our tea and coffee free at the end as it took us over the voucher even though we were fully prepared to pay - such a nice touch!

Very enjoyable, service was fantastic. Helpful and really friendly/professional. Food was delicious especially my mains. The cinnamon ice cream was great too. Overall can’t wait to return.

Went to Cote for a business meeting and was placed in a quiet corner as requested. Great food, great service and value for money for a lunchtime feed.

Tasty food served at good pace in a friendly atmosphere Portion size could have been more generous but that’s a personal preference. Good surroundings, attentive staff and prompt service.

Great welcome; really good service. Lovely food. Complimentary cocktail went down nicely! This branch has the insurmountable problem of a low ceiling and consequently is VERY noisy. A bit pricy but nevertheless a very nice meal out.

Never had a bad meal in here and have visited for breakfast, lunch and dinner since it’s been open. Good food, excellent service and a pleasant atmosphere. I wouldn’t hesitate in recommending Cote in Haywards Heath.

Slow, loud and expensive Took over two hours. Staff pleasant but food took so long to come. It was busy and noisy. Food good though. I'm full but not satisfied!

Went for my sons 18th We had Excellent service and the food was lovely. We had two vegetarians in our party and it was nice to be presented with a vegetarian menu. And for the meat eaters the fillet steak just melted in the mouth.

Great food and service, excellent menu for vegetarians, would definitely visit again.

We had two courses each, ratatouille with goat’s cheese and mackerel and beetroot salad to start and Toulouse sausage and lentils and steak frites to follow. One of us is gluten-free and there was no problem with that. Both courses were very good, even if the sausage and steak were slightly overdone, and the service was cheerful and attentive. The Breton cider was very much enjoyed by one of us and the double espressos were excellent. A great lunch; many thanks.

This visit was very disappointing! Poor service...... Drinks did not arrive until I chased them TWICE. Waited too long to order and get food. Yes, we eventually got our drinks for no charge, but I would have rather paid and received good service. Sadly the restaurant was not busy, so maybe the poor service many not be unique to my visit. Dont think I will be returning for a long time. Sorry

Had a brilliant time,lovely atmosphere. All food was piping hot, just a shame that the pork belly was a bit overcooked and dry. Overall though an excellent experience. Thank you.

Generally very good but, once again we encountered a problem when some of our party order a steak. The non-steak orders are always fine, but the steak order is always cold, as though it has been cooked first and put to one side. In fairness, you always replace it and do not charge but it upsets the balance of the meal and leaves one person twiddling their thumbs while the rest of us are eating! It has got to the point where we will order either all steaks, or no steaks unless you can resolve this, for us, ongoing problem.

We ate from the lunch menu today which was very reasonable at £11.50 for 2 courses. Food was absolutely delicious and service as always exceptional! Booked ahead online for outside table as such a lovely warm sunny day.

Always good. My dads soup could have been hotter so we said so. So they kindly knocked a glass of wine costboff the bill. Nice staff in Haywards Heath. Oh and PROPER NAPKINS. ✅. Not a piece of paper. Excellent

A quiet Thursday lunchtime. Service was good, food was average.

Generally ok... crepe at end was disappointing. Nice to get a refund but justification was a little tough. Service was ok but didn’t always sound that genuine... I.e. felt like it came from a script...

My party had a very enjoyable evening. Being a Saturday the Restaurant was virtually full which created plenty of atmosphere. The food and drink was very good and fairly priced. Service was efficient and friendly.

Great steak, service and cleanliness very good. Scallops could have been bigger!

Enjoyed my Sunday breakfast immensely. My Eggs Benedict arrived but was cold so informed the waitress who immediately dealt with it and brought me a fresh one which was delicious. Very impressed with the service I got!

Managers great, waiters not interested. Not a great experience. Food average. Not that happy with the experience. Managers were the only thing that made the experience ok.

Disappointed we had to wait over half an hour for our starter. Restaurant was not full to capacity- one of the mains that arrived was like warm. We informed the staff and to their credit were very apologetic on behalf of the kitchen. They dealt with it with utmost professionalism so a credit to the establishment. I put it down to a glitch as I have not had any problems with other Côte Brasserie’s.

Slow service. Two very different versions of same dish. Think mine had been reheated from before as was so dry. No knifes on table. Dirty table , dirty glass. Will not be rushing back.

My steak was so chewy I could hardly eat it and three people in our party had burgers and they were all over cooked, dry and plain. Very disappointing.

Like other occasions at Cotes the food was excellent . Although the place was as busy as it could get on Father's Day, the staff were attentive, focussed and did a great job. Good value for money.

My mother in law and partner came for mothers day breakfast yesterday! I ordered the French breakfast and my partner had the full English. It was the best black pudding I have had. Was so yummy. The breakfasts tasted great. However, the service could have been a bit quicker with drinks being served. On 2 occasions i needed to grab the attention of another waiter, which ended up being a error on our bill at the end. Of course this was all resolved. Will certainly be returning for breakfast again. Oh and delightful sparkling wine! Would love to know which one it was. Thanks for making my mothers day morning so enjoyable and off to a great start!

Superb meal, lovely ambience and quality service. We have dined in this restaurant before and been thoroughly delighted with the standard maintained which is excellent. Can thoroughly recommend this restaurant. Furthermore, we actively seek out a Cote because it is a byword for quality.

The food took a while to come but was excellent and I thought that the set menu was good value with a lot of choice if you want to keep the price down. The atmosphere was pleasant and the staff attentive. I would like to go back again and sit someehere else as we were near a table of very noisy people so it was quite difficult to hear conversation on our table. Otherwise a good experience.

Sadly we had to wait too long for our main courses. After I chased them up they arrived and we were given our desserts for free which was nice but I was a shame we had to wait as free desserts dont mean much to hungry children. I am also not convinced our chicken was cooked properly. But staff nice and friendly as always and rest of the food was good.

As always good food and service, we always wish that noise levels at Haywards Heath could be reduced, maybe some sound absorbing panels in the ceiling?

I love the Restaurant but my salad was much smaller (ans less good things in it)as well as the bread and on thing I lived about cote was the consistency and I really hope it won't start saving on the wrong end.

Service was excellent. Friendly relaxed atmosphere. I had a complaint about my steak. This was dealt with speedily and professionally. My meal was replaced immediately.

We love Cote Brasserie, we have been to Horsham many times, Exeter twice and now Haywards Heath. And had a great meal at all of them. Good well cooked and presented food. Staff very friendly and helpful. You won’t be disappointed!
