Another superb meal, with very efficient service. Chose to eat from the set menu this time, and whilst the portions were a little smaller than from the a la carte menu, it represented excellent value for money.

Table was booked at the Hayward's Heath restaurant after receiving an offer for a free bottle of wine with the a la carte menu . The food was excellent and the wine was lovely . Staff attentive and gave excellent service .

Staff very friendly and helpful and always greet you with a smile. Food excellent as always I have eaten here on many occasions and have always enjoyed the experience.

Excellent value with good fresh cooking and served by well trained staff. It is now one of my favourite eating places. My only adverse comment is the 12half % service charge on wine which is already 4 or 5 times increase in price

The staff were fast and efficient staff. The menu was varied and took us sometime to choose as the choice was too much. As it was my birthday I was given a lovely glass of bubbly.

We had a lovely lunch with great service as always. We asked for a quiet table and this was happily accommodated by the staff on arrival who had a note of the request

Service food and wine were excellent - boeuf bourginon and lamb rump special particularly delicious . Staff very attentive but not intrusive thank you to the staff

Warm welcome; attentive waitress;quick service of drinks and orders taken;clear explanation that one order might delay all;food excellent;request for another bottle of water not fulfilled;waitress then vanished for 10 minutes when I wanted to request the bill. This could have jeopardised her tip had she not been so good at the start of the evening.

Efficient and friendly staff who always give a warm welcome and are on hand if you need anything. The food is always excellent and reasonably priced.

Friendly staff, good food but the restaurant lacks ‘French’ atmosphere, which is its’ usp after all....some re-thinking in decor would help enormously as this place has huge potential.

Food and service were fine though waitress was really pressing us to order extras. The restaurant was incredibly noisy which spoilt my enjoyment. Red wine was poor

Lovely food, cooked really well, lovely atmosphere and a lovely building but like with a lot of the Cote restaurants a little noisy at times, to the point I couldn't hear the waiter.

There were a group of 6 of us, the staff were very attentive and friendly. The food was amazing and the wine was great too!

Ambience service food great . The waitress who served me was very polite and caring . Let me in early for lunch. Free water is great.

A really great dining experience. Pre booked and was greeted on arrival. Very good selection of courses all of which were cooked and presented to a high level. Staff were attentive but not overbearing. We’re always on hand when needed. It was my wife’s birthday treat and a very nice evening. Thank you.

Had lunch. Good choice of meals at reasonable prices. Fast attentive service and food very acceptable. Only quibbles would be cost of drinks and "optional" service charge - an oxymoron.

Visited the restaurant for the 1st time with my wife for our Anniversary. Overall it was an enjoyable meal, the food was good, liked the restaurant. It was fairly noisy but it was a busy Saturday evening so understandable. Not sure how that would have affected the experience if it was a group of us though as I can imagine having trouble holding a group conversation, 1 to 1 was fine though. The only bits i can pick on i'd say were service related. The guy 'greeting' at the door seemed to be more interested with playing with his ipad than actually welcoming us. I am a great fan of using tech to improve the running of operations etc but not at the expense of the personal human touch. A simple "hello and welcome. Please bear with me i won't be a moment" would have been fine rather than an awkward wait to see if he actually realised we were there before hardly looking up and saying "just a moment". Not a great first impression. The second issue was the incessant "upselling" by our waiter. He seemed intent on trying to milk every opportunity to push more. He stated off by assuming we would want wine and recommending a certain bottle. He also recommended bread with our starter and suggested a side (spinach, which neither of us like but are more than capable of choosing from the menu ourselves) for our main. I nearly laughed when he brought the jug of water and seemed to emphasise that it was "on the house". Why thank you! Here's a tip, if you annoy a customer enough pushing for an extra £ or 2 for a side etc then they won't come back. If you concentrte on giving them what they want instead of pushing sales, they will return and you'll get even more ££. Pretty simple! As mentioned, food was good and overall good night, just let down a little by the service.

Cote is consistently good and one of our favourite restaurants. However, the service was very slow today which was surprising as the restaurant was not at all busy. Shame.

We had a lovely meal and the service was very good. We all had the fixed price menu and found it to be very good value.

As ever, very pleased with the food and service. The restaurant anniversary menu is excellent value ..free glass of Champagne with it !! how can you fail :)

It's Cote - simple!! Ambience is generally quiet - but noisy enough to know its alive! This time service was good, again, without being too fussy. Ate off the specials menu and everything was delicious - very rare to get bad service/food here. It isn't a place to go for 'fine dining' - but the food is very good, and pretty well always reliable. A gret place to have just round the corner from home!!

Ten of us visited cote brasserie,Haywards heath, West Sussex,on a Sunday evening.The restaurant was quite busy,however the service and food was excellent. The waitress even sorted out the bills per couple.

Great evening, good food, helpful and attentive staff. A buzzy and lively restaurant and good value too. We will go back often What's not to like?

Great food and service as usual. Nice touch with the Cote anniversary fixed price menu with glass of champagne. Great location too if you fancy a drink before or after on the Broadway.

Both my friend and I had lovely meals. My friend hadn't been to HH restaurant before and was pleasantly surprised on appearance when we arrived. Our waiter was very helpful and explained all 3 menus so we could decide what to have. The atmosphere was brilliant although got quite noisy as evening went on but that was because so many customers had arrived but not a problem. I have been to a number of you restaurants and can't fault any of them but this one is probably my favourite.

Had a lovely meal this evening to celebrate my birthday, staff very friendly and attentive but also left us along whilst we were talking - highly recommed this restaurant.

Attentive service. Very well presented and delicious food. Really good value for money - especially their early evening menu. Would highly recommend eating at Cote,Hassocks.

Went for soupe de poisson - only one left at 6.30 pm! Otherwise excellent. Steak frites up to usual standard and staff helpful and friendly.

Food excellent. Service very good. Only criticism, I ordered seabream and it came without a single vegetable. At £14.50 I would expect it to be accompanied by at least one vegetable. I ordered a side dish of tomatoes but this was at an extra cost of £4.50 which bumped the price up considerably.

As always - friendly staff, good atmosphere, lovely food. No doubt we will be back - this is an easy place to recommend for a casual dinner for 2 or more.

We all enjoyed our meals,especially the starter of smoked mackerel and beetroot salad. The sevice was efficient and friendly. We will be going again in the not to distant future.

Had a lovely meal here with my daughter latest week. My favourite place to eat in Haywards Heath. Food is always good and staff give just the right amount of attention.

Good menu choice and extremely friendly and efficient waitress service. Temperature in the restaurant was a little too cold for my personal comfort. Rather limited choice of wine.

Very good meal, nice ambience, the mistake with the bill was quickly rectified. Fast service, good quality food always a pleasant choice for lunch. To be even better the coffee could be served in larger cups!

Amazing evening if just a tad too loud even though we were protected by walls each side- food was wonderful everyone enjoyed the meal. Would visit again😊
