Côte Haywards Heath

Always excellent food and service. We really enjoyed our dinner and even though I forgot the early diner didn't include Saturdays it was very reasonable.

Very good except one of the mains was unsatisfactory. It was the pork belly which was tough but to br fair we were not charged for it. We are regular visits to Cote but at Lewes and Horsham.

Evening food quality was not as good as previous lunch time visits. As if meal had been reheated from lunch prep rather than freshly prepared & cooked. Staff however were extremely friendly and a lovely atmosphere.

I think the boss the staff great. Think they should drop there prices slightly. Also comp water was warm. But always good atmosphere Think should have more offers

Great breakfast and service again from the team at Cote. only annoyance was that they were quite busy so the two serving were a little stretched.

The staff at Cote Haywards Heath are lovely and look after the customers well but there is an issue with the chef’s. Because of allergies the only thing I can have to eat is steak. Time and time again although ordering a medium steak I end up with a medium to well done steak. Also the steak fritte is supposed to come pink and my mother’s came very well done and rubbery. If you have a choice and can eat anything off the menu avoid the steaks the chef’s just don’t know how to cook a decent steak. Also you only have a couple of options for a sauce for your steak two of which I can’t have as they garlic in and I am extremely allergic to garlic. More garlic free options would be good over the whole menu and an allergy menu with each meal having a lust of ingredients would be good for those with food allergies. Sorry the score is low as you did comp my mother’s meal but if it was a one off it would be a higher rate but it happens every time we come.

Excellent meal as usual. Bit of a problem re the early set menu, but the head waiter sorted it out for us. He also made us a marvellous Irish coffee!

Cote never disappoints! The food was absolutely excellent as was the service. I meet friends for lunch quite often at Cote because it offers fabulous food at a reasonable price.

Fast and efficient service, great staff, reasonable price for breakfast and one of our favourite places to go in Haywards Heath. Just be very clear if you like your fried eggs soft.

Great food, great wine, what more can I say ? A very pleasant evening in our local Cote we always look forward to dining here.

I visited Cote in Haywards Heath on Easter Saturday for a very long lunch with great friends I haven't seen in a while. We enjoyed the best time. Lovely food & wine, as always & wonderful staff. So warm, welcoming & attentive without being intrusive in any way. Thank you to you all, we so enjoyed ourselves & certainly will be back very soon.We all agreed that Cote is by far our favourite restaurant in Haywards Heath.

I had a thin piece of steak which was rather chewy. I drew it to their attention and they replaced it immediately. But the new piece was almost as chewy to be honest. But my son had a similar meal and his was fine. 10/10 for customer care, but 5/10 for the food. It was also very noisy.

Service was great, food was amazing. Definitely be going back! The restaurant is laid out really nicely and is very welcoming. Staff very attentive and friendly.

This was a surprise birthday party with 11 guests. The staff organised everything perfectly. The surprise went down a storm and they remembered every detail we discussed with them in advance. Very impressed. The food was delicious as usual!

Great staff very friendly and delicious family breakfast- perfect for a great start to Easter Monday. The eggs royal where particularly good and all served really quickly.

Consistently excellent food and service, always made to feel very welcome. Like the monthly specials and the knowledge the serving staff have about the different dishes.

Excellent service and meal, most probably one of the best restaurants in haywards heath. Highly recommended for a family celebration but ensure you book in advance.

Overall, the food was good and the service friendly and efficient. I realise that Cotes Brasserie is a French restaurant but disappointing that only French wines are served.

Always a good experience in Cote, great food and good service they even gave my Son a little cake with a candle for his birthday

As always the staff are just the best around. We have been going to Cote Haywards Heath with our children,parents and friends since opening - always superb food and fantastic service headed by a wonderful manager. A credit to the Cote brand - we can’t praise highly enough. Can’t wait til the next time!

Excellent service, timing between courses was good and all the food was well presented and very tasty and hot. Would definitely recommend and go back again ourselves.

Lovely meal in relaxed atmosphere. Well worth a visit if you are in the area. Useful to get a reminder e mail also the day before.

Pleasant atmosphere. Good service. Starters of French onion soup and a crab mayonnaise were lovely. The Swordfish special had great ratatouille, the texture of thefish itself was beautiful but unfortunately the searing on the surface was overdone which sadly affected the taste. The ice cream profiteroles were fabulous as was the praline crepe. We will go back.

Good service and we enjoyed the food. Great to have a seperate vegetarian menu. Staff friendly and efficient. Enjoyed the ambiance and will visit again.

A very good experience. The food was excellent and the staff were very professional. My one criticism, the space on the table was pretty cramped. However, we managed.

The staff were very attentive, the table d'hote menu had a good selection and the food was tasty and hot. For a cold Monday lunchtime the restaurant was reasonably busy, giving a good atmosphere. Good value for money with a friendly service.

Had starter , main meal and dessert off the set menu offers which is valid until 7pm , Food was excellent , staff polite , friendly and efficient . Will certainly be back , really lovely evening .

As lovely as ever at Cote, one observation: I'd booked via a marketing email which offered complimentary kir royales.... it would be really nice if the restaurant remembered that and didn't have to be nudged to provide them. Other than that, all good.

We had a wonderful evening indeed - important as it was a Birthday celebration and with an element of surprise as there were extra guests when the Birthday couple arrived! The staff handled it beautifully, including a very decorative Birthday dessert prepared by the Chef and a lovely vocal rendition of Happy Birthday at the table! The staff definitely had the personal touch which will ensure our return! Delicious cuisine all round! Thank you Chef and Thank you one and all! Bruce and Jill McGuire

The food was really nice, both meat/fish options as well as vegetarian. A good atmosphere too. We'd have liked a round table, easier for talking!

We went for breakfast and the food was good. Staff were generally helpful and prompt, however we asked for an extra teabag 3 times and it never arrived!

mothers day service at Haywards Heath very disappointing. Forgot the side plates to our fougasse, forgot the water twice despite asking, milk for the coffee never came (we had to goup to the bar), they ran out to spoons (how am i expected to eat my moules?!) and then completely forgot the coffee after dinner! Our waiter seemed like he didn't care and it made the experience rather disappointing.

Food good, but service slow, missing cutlery, took ages to get water - had to ask twice, no serving spoons for side orders. Felt that they were understaffed and were not on top of the detail - disappointing for Mother’s Day. Treat.

Worst meal I have had in a long time, calamari cold then over cooked when asked for it to be done again, after further inspection, the calamari smelt off and was dark grey. The veal was burnt on one side and the mini fried potatoes and bacon where over cooked. Creme Brûlée was very average the top wasn't even warm when it came out, this is shocking from somewhere that is meant to be good food. The manager did take a few things off to apologise, but he couldn't hide his embarrassment behind a discounted meal. Do not recommend if they are busy.

It was mother’s day so very busy. Servers were friendly and fairly efficient. However drinks orders were very slow! Apparently there was only one person doing drinks. On any day drinks are a given. Having another person behind the bar would be preferable. Waiting time for drinks was about 20 minutes!!

Greeted without friendly acknowledgement. Table wasn’t ready. Had to remind twice re coffees but still arrived after breakfast. Score 1 for service, 3 for food

Good food and good service in a busy mother’s day. Roast belly of pork very enjoyable, as was the taste aux pommes. All finished off with a cafe noissette!
