Great food and great service, the summer specials were excellent.

Lovely food as always in a lovely buzzing setting with great staff.

Having been regular diners at your outlets at Tunbridge Wells, Lewes, Brighton and Blue Water we found our lunch at Haywards heath disappointing. The toast with the brioche was hardly toasted and the chicken tasted unfamiliar. Also the steak (£2 supp) was rather chewy, and far from your usual standard. All in all it was rather a let down. On a positive note the creme caramel was as good as it always is.

Chose Cote for an anniversary meal and selected their special cote de boeuf for two people, worst steak for years. Tough as anything and luke warm. Manager kindly offered free deserts to make up for it. We will certainly return as we enjoy the decor, atmosphere, and normally the menu, just unlucky this time I guess, but the restaurant was only 1/2 full so no excuse for cold food, especially when we were each having the same dish.

Very noisy, get the ceiling fitted with sound absorbing tiles. Fairly good value for money we used the prestige menu, salad was rather lacking in meat, not even a full slice.

Not my best meal, rather disappointing celeriac purée- actually mashed potato, no hint of celeriac at all. Service rather slow too. Same as normally enjoy Cote

The staff are amazing there and the food is superb - especially the full English breakfast. Such a good deal for the quality of food and service. This is my 3rd time here for breakfast and I will be back many more times. Thank you.

Visited Cote again in Haywards Heath this week for a late lunch. The prices are reasonable, food good, nice cold water on the table and a good house wine. Staff friendly and efficient.

We had a wonderful time thank you food and staff were lovely it has restored our faith in Côtes after a very poor experience in York. We had 2 children with us who both loved their time in the restaurant and happily ate all their food especially with the thought of a chocolate pot at the end of their meal.

We had a great time staff were lovely, very professional. The young girl that was our waitress was really lovely and chatted with us and the guy that was covering from Brighton was very friendly and energetic too. Was great to see passion in what they are doing. 1 tiny little detail was i did ask for water 3 times and got it after pudding arrived. Really wanted it to go with the wine but not the end of the world, service was too amazing to let it really bother me.

We had a lovely brunch, food was delicious and the manager couldn't do more for us! Very helpful and made us all feel welcome and comfortable. Can't wait to go back!

As always attentive staff, great food in a nice environment. Even with the wasps. Think we maybe we were forgotten about prior to placing our order but we were busy talking so no harm! It did feel a little more expensive today...

We arrived at 19.30.The service was exemplary until 21.00. Suddenly all the staff but two or three disappeared as though the restaurant was closed or closing. A table near to us was finding it difficult to get their bill. The food was excellent.

Good overall experience with pleasant waiting staff, good starter and dessert and nice table. Sadly the Breton fish stew was not fresh and contained (unadvertised) chilli so not as described on menu. In fact we wondered if an attempt had been made to disguise the lack of freshness as it was different from that served at other branches of Cote. Two of our party would not therefore have chosen this meal if we’d known.

As usual when dining several times a month with Cote in Haywards Heath everything it perfect from start to finish of visit. The staff excel also cheerful and attentive, we visit other Cote restaurants and whilst good this is excellent.

The steak was unusually tough and grisly.....never experienced this before. O.K. It was the steak-frites cheaper combination but in 5 other Cote places we had always enjoyed this meal. Still ....one bad one out of 6 isn’t too bad I suppose....but a bit disappointing nevertheless.

My wife and I had the steak-frites as per usual when visiting Cote in Winchester, Farnham,Tunbridge Wells and Tonbridge. However we had not been to Hayward’s Heath before and so were disappointed to get two tough, grisly pieces of steak. I ordered carrots with it as I know the french beans would arrive uncooked as it appears to be the norm just to dip them in hot water. Otherwise it was service as normal ......usually pretty good..

Always a pleasure dining at Cote Haywards Heath as Tosh the manager is always just so accommodating. Finally the Tuna Carpaccio is back on the menu, it needs to remain a regular dish please.

Probably the most delicious lunch we have had at Cote, although always enjoy your food. The prawn gratin and duck confit were superb. We also particularly appreciated the very efficient and charming service from Kelly.

We visited to celebrate my in-laws 68th Wedding Anniversary. The staff were excellent and the food was delicious, my wife and I shared the Chateau Briand which we asked to be cooked medium rare, which it was exactly that. We all enjoyed our visit and will definitely visit again, this was our third visit to Hayward’s Heath restaurant, and we have visited several others around the country, all were excellent.

Came for a birthday dinner after a day out with the children. Very welcoming, pleasant staff, food was good but most importantly we can eat here with confidence knowing that our coeliac son can eat something tasty and safe. They even put a candle in my (complimentary) dessert and sang happy birthday which was a nice touch
