A wonderful evening as usual at Haywards Heath, Côte Brasserie as usual. My wife and I shared the weekend special Chateaubriand for two which was lovely but had to mark it down because it was cold and the carrots I had were a bit hard in the middle. A friend's carrots I tried were perfect so just the thickness of the carrot then. French onion soup was fabulous, St Chinian Red wine was smooth, and my creme brulée reminded me of the last time I was in France - lovely. The rest of our party loved their food from the Pissaladière, Chicken Liver Parfait, Breton Fish Stew, Steak Frites and Sea Bass to the Tarte Fine aux Pommes. Overall Lovely - only marked down because of the temperature of the Chauteaubriand, the accompanying Bearnaise sauce.

As usual good surroundings and great food served by friendly young people.

Was sat at the back of the restaurant which was almost empty so lacked atmosphere. Service was good and prompt. Christmas menu was overpriced - with the same dishes on main menu amounting to less. No perks such as crackers/mince pie & coffee. Food was good overall But pricey

Very attentive service and delicious food! What more could you ask for?! Let down a little by a screeching woman at a big table, but it’s that time of year!

Excellent food and first class service. This is a restaurant that values it’s customers and is always consistent. Judging by how full it gets it is highly appreciated by the Haywards Heath residents. Congratulations to the staff who work their socks off but always with a smile.

Nice atmosphere, although very disappointed there were no Christmas decs in sight! Please put a Christmas tree up for the staff too not only customers. My steak was meant to be medium well, but definitely came burnt and grizzly. Our waitress was friendly and had a joke with us which was nice. Overall, I would come again.

Busy as December. Ordered puddings but never arrived. Needed more staff as some big Christmas parties taking priority over small tables.

The lunch menu is very restricted we had to go Al la cart which is very unusual would think twice about going in the near future.

The staff are really friendly. The food was really tasty and it’s reallly good that they cater for gluten free. I would definitely go in there again and recommend the restaurant to other people

We were particularly impressed by the professionalism, friendly and attentive manner of Edem who we have spoken with before and who has worked in the restaurant for four years, starting as a waiter. In conversation with him it was clear that he has a very strong work ethic and is ambitious for his career. We wish him well. Please pass on our remarks and names to Edem but do not publish our names.

Saturday visit meeting friends for lunch. Good food and great service as always.

Good food, excellent service and atmosphere. Quiet early,busy later, but never too noisy.

I called got answering machine to say about a birthday and if table could have banners etc.... nothing. Staff great attentive but although my / our food was lovely sadly it was cold. Cold plates is a NO NO . Didn’t complain although I really wanted to but didn’t want to ruin my sons birthday

I had booked there for the e-mailed dish which was casulette however they did not have it!! omg so basically disappointed i went for something else (what else!) I had a very nice smoked salmon starter followed by very well cooked duck leg and double expreso and Calvados so all ok sort of! Well not what I came for but look i'm there and need to eat. What do you do walk out? I could have.The service was fine no problem there however it's but but but.

My daughter has been so ill since our visit; today is my birthday and we had lots planned but she has vomited four times and been so unwell. Each time it’s smelt strongly of fish so we think there was something wrong with the haddock. We had a nice time in the restaurant but the rest of the day has been ruined with suspected food poisoning.

The Haywards Heath Cote never disappoints. The food is always superb and the staff are friendly and efficient. My wife and I enjoyed are meal immensely, which is why we are regular diners.

Great variety of options to suit appetite, wallet and palette. More and more we are finding that Cote is becoming our first (only) choice. We have tried the others. We can depend on Cote to deliver time after time. Service is always warm, welcoming and friendly. A bientot.

The service was extremely slow and the table wasn't cleared between courses. We had two children with us and its very important that their food is served at the same time, the very simple starters not only took an age to arrive but a long time before the 3 year olds food appeared you can imagine the distress. We have often eaten at Haywards Heath and have never gad such appalling service. Having given this feed back it would be nice to hace a response from you

Disappointed as we are regulars to Cote locations in England. Sausages were overdone, tea cup was dirty, toast was too well done. Shame as friends had been the previous Sunday and had a great breakfast.

Food wasn’t great . I had lamb rump on piles of roasted veg . With hardly any lamb . Herbs to strong. Would have been a nice touch to have had our coats taken for us and back on on leaving and whilst not busy the door opened for us !
