What a lovely place to go we had a great meal served by great staff food was lovely we will definitely be going back

Great value meal (booked through email link). The food was good, portions would be small for some people, but fine for me. All very well cooked and flavourful, but I think some more veg/ salad should be part of the dish. The service was, as always, really good - friendly, timely, accurate. Tony was our waiter and he did a great job!

A series of very minor niggles. Had to ask for side plates for bread and olives appetisers. Same knives as we used for butter left on table to use again. No serving spoon in extra portion of veg. However the food was good as was the wine.

Have regretted having the sardines. I think they werent at their best and have been reminding me so. My wife thought the ladies washroom was "Not nice" and not up to the standard of the restaurant.

The food and the service were excellent and thoroughly enjoyed by all our party .The staff go out of their way to look after you and while attentive are never intrusive.

I had the set menu. It was lovely. Starter was pear, endive and goats cheese salad and Chicken sarladaise for main. Both were really tasty, in fact the nicest meal I've ever eaten in Cote and I've eaten in many. Staff were great and helpful. Only downside is that cote now serve small sized beers for seemingly the same price as the regular size. The meal was very good value indeed but I'm only giving a low star rating for VFM because of this.

Delicious food, friendly service, very reasonable price. We eat at Cote regularly, the whole family enjoy the food.

I found the food to be a disappointment. I ordered chicken with a provencale sauce. I expected the sauce to be hot and covering the chicken. The sauce was served cold in a little side dish and this was not expected. When I was wanting to pay the female manager/ maitre'd was engaged in a conversation with another customer. She knew I was wanting to pay but blatantly continued her chat and ignored me. Eventually she told a waitress to bring me the bill. I was then waiting to pay while the manager, or who ever she was, was still chatting away. She knew, but again made no attempt to excuse herself. Once again she signalled to a waitress to bring over the card machine. I thought that the managerial female chatting was absolutely rude. Knowing I wanted to pay, she should have excused herself to deal with my bill and payment instead of devoting all her attention to the one customer.

Food was good, early bird was excellent value, great atmosphere. Lovely server we enjoyed the whole thing. Except.... why the addition of a 12.5% service charge? Don’t you pay your staff enough? If we want to tip (and we did) then we will but shouldn’t feel bullied into it. We refused to pay it and then put down cash at the end as we object to the policy. But why make us feel awkward and as if we’re being difficult or mean at the end of a meal by doing this - it leaves a bad taste. Pay your staff better or leave it up to the customer on whether to tip please.

I have dined at Cote a few times, mainly for an early dinner before the cinema. The staff is pleasant and helpful, the food is good and there is a friendly atmosphere.

The beef stroganoff on the prestige menu was not available. Overall, a disappointing visit and not of the standard we have come to expect of Cote

A lovely breakfast again at Cote in Harrogate on New Year’s Day. Friendly service. Food arrived promptly and was very tasty. The brioche was burnt and when I pointed it out to the waiter, it was replaced, but it should not have been sent out burnt. Overall a good meal.

As usual great food and great service only downside is that on arrival I informed our greeter that I had booked a table under the January sale offer. We were given the standard menu and again I clarified this was the January sale offer, it was the same person, we were told yes. Had a lovely meal and our waitress was great. At the end of the meal I asked for our bill, from the greeter and menu giver who has assured me we were on the January sale offer but when the bill came we weren’t. I pointed this out he apologised and amended the bill, but not by the full amount. It wasn’t a lot so couldn’t be bothered to argue further, and I was with my mother. It annoyed me though.

I had booked a table for 6 people for breakfast and once we were seated it took 20 minutes to be asked for our order. The following service was slow and haphazard, with our food order being Incorrect, cold and arriving at different stages. The whole experience wasn’t good.
