Very efficient and friendly service, as usual, and food which is always to a high standard. We are regulars there now despite the plethora of choices closer to home.
We had an early evening table booked as we were going to the theatre. We were greeted with a smile and given a choice of several tables. The place was fairly busy as it was the lead up to Christmas. Service was good as was the food. We had 1/2 Breton chicken, minute steak which was cooked nice and pink and Seabass which was 2 generous fillets. Nice bottle of Muscadet. Good atmosphere. We will be back on our next visit to Harrogate.
Made to feel welcome by the friendly staff and the overall service is very good . We also like the atmosphere and comfort of the restaurant .
A rather cold & drafty table which was very disappointing. Service was a tad slow & although the starter & main were good the pudding was horrible. Do not have the dark chocolate pot as its mostly creme fraiche with a small amount of dark chocolate goo beneath, quite unpleasant.
Good service, though for the first time they did not bring us water when we were seated which was very unusual. Delicious food from the set menu.
Aways good. staff great food yummy Just one thing think they could have made more of an effort to put up Christmas decorations will be back
The food was well presented and very tasty. This is the third time I’ve been and I have enjoyed each visit. My friend was also impressed.
Friendly service, clean pleasant surroundings ,unrushed with no pressure to move & excelent food from a very varied & interesting menues set two or three courses, general menue & specific Christmas menu.
It was good value for money. The staff coped well with a full restaurant. The service and food was very good. We will go agaian.
Excellent service and wonderful food. I would certainly go again and the situation in the town of Harrogate makes it easy to find a parking space - an extra bonus.
Lovely evening out with a couple of friends on a Friday - good atmosphere in the restaurant. Great food and great service. Would highly recommend.
Lovely, obliging staff, delicious well priced food and drinks in a super ‘adult’ environment. It is without the usual pretence ‘some’ Harrogate eateries lead with, which is to the detriment of the dining experience. Definitely one of my go to venues.
Amazing food, the steaks are excellent. The prawn starter was delicious. A great selection of wines. Lovely atmosphere and decor. Great service with very attentive staff.
Good experience, increased portion sizes, creating a full some dining experience, the waiter tried a bit too hard to sell the most expensive things when asked for his recommendations, but will certainly visit again.
Very good food and service as always and lovely ambience. Would recommend to friends and family. Good value for money as we frequently come for the early bird menu.
Both the food and the service were very good. The choice of menus was excellent and the wine was top quality. Overall a pleasant experience.
Great food, great service and reasonably priced. Never had a bad experience here .
Steak was tough and we were appalled at 12.5% service added to the bill this is London prices. We did however have good service and the waiter actually ended up with more than 12.5% but to put it even optionally on the bill is poor etiquette. I am visiting again on Wednesday and hope my meal is better.
Another great breakfast and a warm welcome. meal was half price thanks to rewards...
A really great menu and very reasonably priced. Great tasting food always. The menu changes and there are specials to choose from. Hard to believe it is a chain sometimes
Staff were friendly and keen to help. Food was up to usual standard and portions were good. There was a good balance of choice to meet our groups wants.
Nice atmosphere and good service. Food is always coming in reasonable time. Although the ribeye steak was cooked as I've asked it was a little bit fatty/chewy... maybe it's not my cut of the meat.
On a very cold November evening we found the restaurant warm and inviting. The menu was varied and had vegetarian options which one of our party welcomed. The staff were friendly and the bill reasonable. We will definitely return.
Excellent service - very good quality food. Still don't like the 12 1/2% service charge added to the bill. We had guests with us so it would have been uncomfortable asking for the service charge to be removed but it did make a difference on the bill. We would have preferred to just give the young man who served us a goodwill gesture.
Great evening, lovely atmosphere and excellent staff. Highly recommend this venue .... food is very good too although the menu is a little limited for vegetarians.
We have eaten here several times and enjoyed the quality of the food and service but on Saturday evening it was a different experience altogether. We had booked a table, were seated quickly and given menus but left for 10 mins before the drinks order was taken, 10 mins later drinks arrived. 5 mins later food was ordered, we were offered olives/bread, these arrived 2 mins before our starters. Our starters arrived approx 8.30 they were all good, the mains unfortunately were disappointing - steaks cooked as requested but were tough, food not that hot. Not sure I will visit again in near future.
The Restaurant has a good atmosphere. We got a warm reception as we entered. There waiters/waitresses were very personable and the prices are very reasonable.
Very good experience. The food was delicious and the staff helpful and courteous. The bill was slightly more than I expected but overall a very enjoyable meal.
Very good meal only problem we had difficulty reading the menu as it wasnt light enough.had to use light from phones to read it we were not the only people to have to do this.
Harrogate was as ever a good meal well served in lovely surroundings. Cote is the first restaurant we look for in any town we visit.
We went early doors and had a delicious meal. Beautifully cooked and served by very friendly and professional staff . It is always a pleasure to come here
We had a superb meal at the Cote, the wine (a Cote du Rhone) was wonderful and the food equalled it. The duck and the crepe with Grand Marnier are not to be missed and the Breton Fish Stew is another must.
Nice restaurant with a good atmosphere, friendly staff. Food lovely and not once did we feel rushed. Plenty of choice from many menus. Well worth a visit. They also do an early bird menu which has a good choice.
We really like Cote. The food is always top quality and the wait staff are usually pretty good. Unfortunately, our waiter on 23 November asked us an inappropriate question - we ordered a bottle of wine to go with our dinner and he asked if we were driving or were taking a cab. We had just sat down and I did not feel this was an appropriate question to ask us and questioned him. He immediately withdrew the question, but who is he? I have never been asked that question before. Perhaps back in Spain they ask their patrons those questions? I don't think so. My rating of Cote would have been higher with the exception of this incident. I will be back but hope not to be served by him again. Thank You.
Never disappoints wether it be breakfast lunch or dinner staff very attentive we visit the Harrogate restaurant mostly always enjoy we taje friends but sometimes go just the 2 off us
Fabulous breakfast in very pleasant surroundings with excellent attentive staff. This was areal treat and ou guests were also very impressed with the whole experience
Free bottle of red wine tempted us back after a couple of visits where the service was very, very slow and on one occasion overbooked and just too many people to deal with. Service and food excellent on this visit.
Staff friendly and helpful . Food pleasant restaurant clean and warm. Plenty of tables located near Harrogate center so near to shops. Ideal for family and friends get togethers
Lovely evening, food great but a few more chips would be good. To be authentic then free French bread a butter good, a small bowl..
Went for a birthday dinner. Lovely to have the Kir Royal as a complimentary birthday treat. Excellent, varied menus - a Christmas themed one, specials, the regular menu - all making good use of seasonal products. Fantastic food as always. Staff helpful & attentive. All in all a very enjoyable night out.
Good food and drink at a reasonable price and good service which is not often the case for a restaurant chain. . Wide variety of choice. Pleasant ambience.
Went for a lunchtime birthday celebration. There was plenty choice on the menu and the food was excellent. Fantastic service and good value for money
Another lovely meal at Cote in Harrogate. We were there for a business lunch and were given a spacious booth in a quiet location. The service was excellent and the food delicious.
The food and service are amazing, one of my favourite restaurants to go to
Excellent food with a good range of choices on menu. Friendly attentive staff, and comfortable environment conducive to enjoying conversation with friends. Wine a little pricey.
Service was okay, felt that the staff were a bit under prepared for a busy night. Starters were good. Main course, ALL of the fries that came were stone cold so we sent them all back. The cote de boeuf's were luke warm and we had two of them. For a party of eight people I understand there is more food to get out but I thought the restaurant would have been more prepared. Disappointed.
Great service, lovely food and overall a very pleasant way to spend a Sunday afternoon! I would definitely recommend to others and will go back 😊
Overall happy experience but also disappointing. 3 of us ordered Breton Salad. On request waiter checked if chicken was served warm, we were assured it was - it was served cold. One diner ordered bread which never arrived. Creme caramel was already off the menu at 7pm? Service was not as attentive as in York Cote. As one diner was celebrating a birthday and the restaurant had advance notice - it would have been a nice touch if the dessert plate had had happy birthday piped on it in recognition.
Great food and service. Very good value but seats a little close together. Would definitely go back and get the half chicken again for £12.
Terrific breakfast as usual. Their "French Breakfast" really has to be tried - super scrambled egg, crispy thin bacon plus lovely black pudding and lightly toasted brioche slices - in the deal for £10.50 with juice and coffee.
