Côte Harrogate

Went for the NYE Special Menu. The menu promised hors d'oeuvres upon arrival. They hadn't arrived before our order was taken, which was 20-25 minutes at least after we arrived. I had to request these. We were a group of 5 and got a small bowl of olives. This pathetically small bowl of olives did not come with the amuse busch or bread as the menu promised. I also noticed a little later that a table of 2 people next to us received their hors d'oeuvres and their bowl of olives was noticeably larger than what our group of 5 received Starters were fine. Hence the 2 stars. Two of our group had confit de canard a l'orange for our main. It was overcooked, dry and came off the bone after using what I deem unnecessary "force". There was not even a hint of orange about this dish. This dish came with a scattering of sliced roasted potatoes. No vegetables came with the mains, which when you are paying a high premium for the NYE Menu I would have expected at least some green & one other veg. When our waiter took our orders he did not inform us that we had to order veg as extras. Poor. The desserts were adequate but by this time after the disappointment of the main course our spirits had been dampened. So overall, a very disappointing meal at inflated prices because it was NYE.

Excellent food. Excellent service. As always. We love coming here for breakfast, lunch or dinner.

I was very pleased to find a gluten free menu, and delicious food available. I felt that you understood and were happy to cater for coeliacs. The service was excellent.

We’ve dined at Côte Harrogate on either Christmas Eve or New Year’s Eve for several years. Nothing but good experiences. Tonight topped it all. Staff happy & friendly, the food & service was excellent. Whilst New Year’s Eve menu was ‘set’ choice of 3 courses, my intolerance to sweets was met willingly & ably by provision of an excellent cheese course. Thank You Côte Harrogate management/team. To excel in such a demanding place as Harrogate takes something special. Thank you.

Warm happy atmosphere, we are regulars and always receive a good welcome. My husband sirloin steak was a little tough my fillet very good.

What a marvellous way to begin our Christmas, prior to being with the family. A marvellous atmosphere and superb food- with a most attentive and welcoming waiter Dan who made our evening meal so special- thank you all so much !

Breakfast with friends who were visiting from Cheshire. It was their first time at Cote and they were greatly impressed.

Regularly use this restaurant but first time I have been for brunch. Like every other meal I have had there it was excellent.

Pleasant atmosphere. Food was reasonably good but expensive, and not particularly value for money. Service generally was good however my husband's dessert got forgotten about and when it was brought it had obviously been stood waiting, however we weren't charged for it as they realised their error.

One again a most enjoyable visit to one of the best restaurants in Harrogate The latest recruit to Team Harrogate is Dan and he looked after us really well and interacted very professionally with all customers. Thanks to Charlotte for a birthday gesture to the other Charlotte I look forward to our next visit

Great night. Fabulous food and service, atmosphere was perfect. Would highly recommend.

Got our order wrong. Five ordered a main course and four were delivered. My steak was omitted from the order and so I had to watch my family eat their dinner while I watched. I eventually had my steak delivered while the Manager & waitress blamed each other. I ate my steak while my family watched. Not the best service and it was a shame as it was supposed to be my birthday celebration meal!! Got a complimentary bottle of lager and the steak. Shame the evening was spoiled.

Staff outstanding as always can not fault them at all. The steak in the steak frit was tough, which is unusual for you and not pleasant. My fillet in the tournedos Rossini was lovely but had not be rested long enough and bled into the crouton. We had a lovely time though and my mother had her first espresso martini.

As always a great experience I visit Côte Brassiere Harrogate on average 3 times per month. Charlotte, Jade and their team (Paloma just to name a few) stand out for their excellent customer service. Nothing is too much for them and they always go that extra mile!
