Our waitress was polite a d helpful but other waitress/supervisor was quite abrupt, slow service despite not being busy. Had to ask for our bottle of wine which did not arrive until after main course had arrived.

Arrived a little early and we’re told we’d have to come back later. No table available. Even though there were loads empty! So went elsewhere...

We came with the family to celebrate my husbands birthday. The meal was very good and my daughter was served well with her dietary requirements. The only thing that I feel I would point out is that she ordered some gluten free bread as a starter and it came just as plain bread! ( she is dairy free too). It would have been nice if she had been offered oil to dip it in when it was served. There was no problem with it being provided after we asked!

We had double celebration service was good. The food was really good. We all enjoyed are night in restaurants.

You served my child gone off cream, which resulted in him being VERY ill. Taking £6 off the £80 bill wasn’t good enough. Such a shame as the rest of the meal was lovely.

We had the set lunch menu, good choice of food. I had the egg florentine for starts & Jerusalem artichoke risotto both cooked well would recommend theses dishes. My husband had the Lamb Rillettes for starts and chicken and bacon parmentier both well cooked. I have a couple of allergies and the staff were very good ask more than once what they were. The staff were very friendly and helpful great service. Definitely will be going back.

Good all round but the mussels should not have been served. They were overcooked, tiny, most were shrivelled and dry and the sauce was so salty it was inedible. I ate mussels in Norfolk earlier in the week and the difference was like night and day.

Super. Given a nice cosy table, a complimentary glass of champagne as we were celebrating our 53rd wedding anniversary. Served a very taisty meal finished off with a beautiful decorated plate with our sweet on. Would recomend . Thanks to all for making our day special.

Reassured us that they had noted our complimentary cocktails right from the start Food was amazing Would have been full stars however the server was leaning over us quite a few times for the plates and we did wait a little while for our desserts to come out

Our time at Harpender was good. The meal and service was also very good.

Food was delicous! On a very busy evening i thought the staff were exceptional. The only small critism is that we were the first table next to the door and you had people standing over you whilst they were waiting to be seated which was a bit intrusive.

I had a wonderful birthday meal at Côte Harpenden today. The food was delicious - we chose from the weekend special menu - and the Kir Royales were a lovely birthday treat. Thank you for making my day special!

We had a lovely meal, the food was cooked really well. The service was excellent, we really enjoy coming to Cote in Harpenden.

Excellent food and service but dislike the 15% service charge added to the bill. Tipping should be at the discretion of the diner and not the restaurant.

Once again reliable service ( so friendly) the right table ( I always ask to reserve a special one) and a value for money, varied menu...in fact probably too much reading material in trying to work out what to eat ! Wines are good though a little on the expensive side for lunch. Such a pleasant atmosphere and the food is always served hot, reasonably quickly and nicely presented. Choice of menus is wide ranging and tasty. I really can't fault anything although it would be nice to have just a little sweet thing for dessert, not a full plate - such as a coffee and a piece of shortbread or chocolate ....just one! I don't believe you do a small cheese plate which is unfortunate for a restaurant claiming a French heritage/menu/style. Manager Danny is excellent in looking after people and the waitresses swift, efficient and very pleasant....they know when to ask and when to stand back. Smart good looking young man in black carried in the tray of food for the waitresses and smiled at customers. Good style and adds to ambience of Cote in Harpenden. Class, style and good value. Keep it up.

Another lovely meal at Côte this evening. Great choice of menus, monthly specials always excellent and the monthly cocktails are always delicious. Staff as usual friendly and extremely professional. A thoroughly enjoyable evening especially given how busy they were. This restaurant has become a very firm favourite.

Was rather disappointed with the staff, when we arrived we weren't escorted to our table, the waitress pointed to where we were seating. The food was not to a good standard, water was warm and obviously from the tap. We went to celebrate my son's birthday the only food we enjoyed was my son's birthday cake. .which we brought ourselves. Not what we expected ,it was a shame as the meal and drinks were very expensive!!

Once again the staff treated us fantastically well, food was great - we had a lovely lunch. All credit to the manager who keeps very high standards.

Overall the visit was very good. I had the weekend burger which was good but the burger pattie could have done with a bit more seasoning. This is my only negative comment though, everything else was very good.
