Good value for money. Pleasant atmosphere. Will definitely come again with the family.

Thoroughly enjoyed the evening. Choice of food on the set menus were to our liking and delicious. Wine was great and service friendly. Clean and pleasant surroundings and atmosphere!

We had an early Saturday evening booking at 6.15, we stayed until 10.15 - no one pressured us to leave, which was great, the service was very good and the food was very enjoyable.

Usual good food and very good service, still a pity that it is very noisy. Could some softer material be put on the end wall above the booths.

We had a great time on our first , but not last , visit tour Cote Harpenden. Really liked the decor and the food but it was the staff who made the difference. Very attentive and kind.

The food and service were very good but on such a busy day it felt a bit cramped as the tables are very close together. Overall it was a lovely meal.

Lovely food, good portions beautifully cooked and friendly helpful staff. The background noise level was a bit high and more noise reduction is probably needed but it's a beautiful, stylish looking restaurant.

I have eaten here 4...5 times now. I took friends for breakfast this morning and found the service poor...one breakfast came without eggs and we were all half way through when it reappeared. I had to ask for a knife for my toast and honestly my breakfast could have been hotter. All in all pretty average and I would have expected more

Cote in Harpenden offer a great brasserie menu and really nice service... they are always trying to please ... I had a meal in a very expensive restaurant near to Lemsford at the weekend and experienced the opposite approach. Well done the Cote team.

Very nice food, reasonably priced. The staff were attentive and provided good service. Pleased to see on the bill that the included gratuity went directly to them. No complaints.

We all enjoyed our meals I had the sea bass I found the to be very dry otherwise, it was very enjoyable.

Excellent food - really enjoyed my prawn starter, fillet steak and ratatouille side. And the wine was lovely too. However, the tables are far too close together. The waiting staff were struggling to serve our table without disturbing the one next to us, and it's hard to have a conversation with other people so close.

Fantastic range of dishes especially for Coeliacs and kids. Excellent food quality, restaurant decor and value for money. Great service too. What's not to like? Restaurant chains don't get any better than Cote!

It was a special night for my birthday , was very disappointed that we had to wait forever for our desserts ... The manger did apologise and not charge us for them as a good will gesture . The food was lovely as were the staff But the evening was slightly spoilt .

Disappointed with my birthday visit there .. was kept waiting so long for pudding the manager gave us coffee complimentary. Have been before and had a wonderful experience so extremely disappointed .

Great night out . Food very good and hot to the table, Maitre d' on the ball and welcoming . Sides a little expensive and the service charge at 12.5% is on the bill before you pay. Good for a special occasion .

Very nice set lunch. Starter a bit sparse but tasty, suggest more rocket so the plate looks less empty! Chicken and sauté potatoes very nice. £9 for a large glass of wine a bit pricey and not far off the cost of the lunch. Service polite and friendly.

The service was excellent and we enjoyed our main courses (my husband had the bouillabaisse and I had seafood linguine). We were disappointed with the French Onion soup. We regularly choose this at the Covent Garden and Sloane Square Côtes and it’s always delicious. Today it was watery and had little taste.

The service atmosphere and food were excellent. The young waiter we had was very polite and offered to take a photo of the group of us, one who was celebrating a birthday. She was given a glass of bubbly and the desert decorated for her special occasion. It was also nice for us not being referred to as you ‘guys’! Overall a very enjoyable evening.

Food was very good and well presented. Waiting staff were of mixed caliber, overall I would go back as it is a lovely venue.

Food and service good, but our table, in the centre of three rows, was by a large, noisy group which made conversation difficult. Would book again but would insist on a table by a wall.

Much improved sound absorption. Good range of food, keenly priced. Menu complex, not all items are on the menu causing uncertainty when requiring an item from one menu (whitebait) which did not appear on the main menu. Resolved by the manager but this should not have been necessary. Not keen on including 12.5% gratuity as standard. Gratuity is an expression of satisfaction with service not to be taken for granted.

A quiet time, early lunch on a Saturday at end of bank holiday week. Food and service very good as always in our experience and friends introduced to Cote for first time were impressed.

Relaxed atmosphere. As with many restaurants, it’s difficult to get fish that’s not adulterated with shellfish/salmon. Narrows down the choices massively if you are allergic to shellfish, but OK with white fish.

Great food, perfectly cooked. Good menu with plenty of choice and great value for money.

Delicious breakfast! Very good service, would definitely recommend. The set price cooked breakfast menu with juice and tea or coffee is very good value for money too!

Mothers Day brunch and Dads Birthday all in one! They went above and beyond as always, confetti on the table and complimentary mimosa's. Food is always fantastic and such a reasonable price. I need to try Cote for dinner next time! I only have one critique, my dads breakfast had hard yolks (I know this is pedantic), he was awfully envious of my mums runny yolks.

The two and three-course set menu options are very well priced and offer an excellent selection to suit all tastes and checking table availability couldn't be easier.

Food excellent but restaurant no atmosphere. Service good but more staff than customers!!!! Staff eating in restaurant maybe arrange to eat out of view ? Like the restaurant but maybe we choose a quiet time prefer to go Dinner time than a lunch . Manager was very helpful

The experience was so bad that the manager gave us our meal for free! Order got lost, no service , and when it arrived it was the wrong order. Took over 45 minutes just to get a starter, which was wrong. Wont bother in the future.

I was really excited for our first visit, but left feeling a bit deflated. Maybe I was wrong to expect a higher level of customer service,Our first waitress was great making us feel very welcome and explaining a few things on both the food and bar menu, after that nobody smiled or made us feel special given we were celebrating a special birthday.

Perfect Easter Sunday lunch - lovely atmosphere, busy without being too noisy. Service excellent throughout. And food very good - we both had the chicken special and it was delicious. As was the French 75!

Great experience, quick booking process. Excellent food. This was our fifth visit and probably the best. We hope the level os kept for the following visits

We use this restaurant fairly regularly. We are always pleasently received and the care given throughout from the staff is always first class. The food is always very good

Since the work has been done on the ceiling to reduce the noise, we have found it much improved. As for the food, ,service ,atmosphere and value, couldn't be better. Thank you

We are loyal customer, now used Cote in five different locations. Last night was not so good for service although the restaurant was busy. Disappointed that the chocolate sauce that accompanied coupe noir was unpourable, solidly stuck to bottom of the jug and one guest had tough pastry on the apple pie. We should have been given the choice of lowering the service charge which had been automatically added.

Really great food, nice location, fantastic staff! Very easy to book, online, and the value-for-money was excellent. It was a quiet day over Easter but the atmosphere was still lovely. Thank you, will definitely be back.

Despite living in Harpenden this was my first experience of the previous Post Office, but having eaten in Cote in SA and WGC I was not disappointed either by the food nor the decor. Ate before 7.00 and chose their 2 course menu. Not disappointed although their discretionary (?) 12.5 % service charge is too high for what you get.they try to justify this by having three people to present the menu selections Will try again a little later in the evening as there were only 10 other diners so lacked atmosphere

We booked a specific booth table 3 weeks previously and when we arrived we saw that they gave it to another group. We were told that they had overrun but it was clear they had recently arrived. Service was ok but had to ask for assistance including clearing the table.

Amazing food and a lovely waiter made it a very good night .
