Côte Harpenden

I hadn't been to Cote Brasserie before, but it was highly recommended by a friend. I wasn't disappointed. Lovely food, served by a very efficient and pleasant waitress, who made me and the friend who was with me, feel very welcome.

Excellent breakfast. Booked a table but was fairly quiet. Efficient and friendly service.

Excellent food. Staff just seemed a bit too busy but not too bad- just took a while for initial order to be put in and to get attention to pay the bill, but everyone loved the food.

Great food, great service. Excellent Gluten free range and confident to eat it! Love the Gluten free flags on all GF dishes so you know it's OK and they've not got the dishes mixed up

The service and food were excellent and we enjoyed the complimentary bottle of wine which was an offer for signing up for the Newsletter. Great atmosphere and we’ll definitely return.

Another enjoyable evening at Cote Brasserie. Friendly service and delicious food from a good menu. Daily specials also available. Nice ambience and lovely decor. Feels like being in Paris. A great addition to Harpenden

Excellent ambiance, service and wonderful food at reasonable prices too! We chose from an early dinner menu eating lobster tails and steak for £13.50. Fabulous!

Very good food at a very reasonable price. Restaurant was quite busy however service was always good. Menu had good range of authentic french food. French Onion soup was particularly nice.

Lovely surroundings and ambience. Food was delicious. Staff friendly and welcoming. Only downside for us was our table for 2, which was small, in a corner with only a small space between our table and next to get through. Overall though we enjoyed it and would go again

We really enjoyed our time at Cote Harpenden except the air conditioning was troubling us. We finally asked to change tables. Our meal and the service was excellent. We will return soon Thankyou.

A group of us went to Cote for my birthday and it had a great atmosphere, very friendly staff and the food was really good. We will come back.

I had tuna salad and was disappointed as the new potatoes and the tomatoes were missing from the salad. I didn't realise until after I had eaten the meal that part of it was missing.

Nicely refurbished, but tables are a little squeezed in. Service was good. The food was ok - ordered the steak, which was a bit tasteless.

A great atmosphere for Sunday brunch. The flexibility offered by having all menus available between 12.00 and 1.00 p.m. is a bonus. The service is excellent.

A bit noisy when we arrived with a lot of young children. Fish soup starter was slightly cold but otherwise the food was good. Also the service was excellent. Noise would be the only thing that I would consider before returning.

We had a lovely meal, the food was well cooked. The service was a little slow, but it was a busy Friday night, so to be expected.

Great atmosphere and food. The set menu, which is available until 7.00 p.m. on weekdays, offers a good choice of dishes for the gluten free diner. The service is excellent too.

Mothers day meal which ticked every box. Met at the door with a smile, shown to our table and given the name of our waitress. An enjoyable un rushed meal with superb quality food and wine. I would highly recommend and will return soon.

We went along with our ex neighbours who are also fans, and we have recently been to Cote in Birmingham, Leeds and York, so you can see we are mad about Cote! Great choices, good food served by lovely friendly staff, what's not to like?

Truly outstanding experience throughout, from the moment when we first arrived to celebrate my daughters 22nd birthday. Great service from all of the staff and they make you feel really special. Excellent all round! Thanks very much

Very helpful, attentive and well trained staff and a delicious meal. Will recommend The Cote Brasserie to friends and family and will be returning soon.

Sat us at a table between the bar and walkway with the front door nearby. No privacy at all. Horrible location for a table. Took 23 mins for them to move us to a table more in the restaurant area. The couple after us also asked to moved from the same table.

Two of us dined on a Friday evening. The room was busy but with a nice buzz. We both ordered steaks which were top notch.When the diners next to us vacated their table the waitress pushed the two together . A nice touch. Enjoyable visit.

Great breakfast on a busy Mother’s Day Sunday morning. Good atmosphere. Service a bit slow but they were very busy. Waiter came back to table to offer us juice which we could get free with our order choice.

Staff were inattentive and seemed more focused on doing anything but serving customers. We asked for sauce to go with our steak and were charged 1.5 pounds for it. We were also charge for bread served with the meal. Drinks were also expensively priced

The food was lovely and reasonably priced. The atmosphere was very nice - we especially appreciated our lovely waitress who bought my boyfriend a free dessert for his birthday! We will be back :-)

Good food, lovely waiter! One meal was burnt so we didn’t eat together we asked for it to be taken off bill 12.5% tip added to bill this is optional. Noisy but nice place.

Cote is always reliable and this evening was no exception - reasonably priced, well prepared food and a very enjoyable Motheting Sunday treat for all of us.

We went there for Mother's Day, my Mum loved it, said it was great value for money and is already talking about going back, we only went this morning! Staff were super. Only issue was a drink got missed and they did take a while to arrive but it was all good in the end. We would all go back. Would be good if they had a children's menu thouh

The food was good, but service far too slow. We waited a long time for our order to be taken, drinks were delivered twice and were not correct. Other drinks were then not served until we asked again.

Food and service always good but the same old noise problem still spoils the otherwise very enjoyable experience. I understand this has been brought to your attention..... some soft furnishings would help to absorb the noise levels. Sadly yesterday was particularly bad due to screaming children who unfortunately( with the new 30 something parents) are allowed to continue their noise without any consideration to fellow diners..... no I am not some dried up old maid but I am a Mother with a grown up family and when my family were small, they would never have been allowed to disturb or annoy other diners but sadly, times have changed and consideration for others, has diminished. It will not stop me dining at Cote but I pick my times carefully when hopefully the noise levels are almost acceptable because the noisier it gets the more everyone shouts to be heard .....and there lies the problem.

Booked on the day and was given a choice of table. Had a very good meal and great service too. We be back very soon

Excellent food and service, with a great choice of menu. The staff allowed us to set the pace of our visit. Good value too. Would recommend and will return.

We returned to Cote Harpenden with a voucher following a complaint that I made about excessive noise. This time there was no problem and my party of four enjoyed the lunch. The service was excellent and food came promptly. We shall return.

Lovely food but the service was too quick . Also service charge added to the bill without giving the customer a choice of how much they would like to pay, which is very off putting

Excellent gluten free menu. Really tasty, well cooked food. Efficient and friendly staff. Very noisy though but we were lucky enough to be able to find a table in the corner.

Excellent food. Staff were attentive without being intrusive. Tables are spaced out and not overcrowded. Overall a pleasant experience. I would definitely recommend this restaurant.

Food was ok,I thought my sirloin steak was to tough. We were rushed to much throughout the service although the waitress was pleasant enough. My wife would come again probably not me.

Restaurant almost empty. Service very slow. We waited 25 mins for food. However this was acknowledged before I complained and we didn’t pay for 1 breakfast.

Friendly and attentive service. The choice of gluten-free food on the early evening set menu was extensive. Looking forward to what is on offer during March.

Wonderful brunch! Smoothies on the menu would be appreciated but otherwise, great service, menu and atmosphere. I loved the small size of the restaurant too - very intimate.

We did enjoy the evening but staff seemed rushed - one of the eight in our group did not get his main course until 10 minutes after everyone else! When we asked where it was it had obviously been forgotten but it was taken off the bill.

A nice all round dining experience. Staff were welcoming, attentive and chatty. Food was fresh, well presented and most importantly tasty . Would recommend and try again.

It doesn’t really matter if the food is good (which it was) and the service friendly (which it was) if the restaurant acoustics are so bad that the noise level goes up and up and up until you can’t hear the people you are dining with.

Good service, tasty food, nice ambience. Very apologetic staff when wrong main course brought out - we said we were happy to keep it anyway and they took if off the bill. Only downside - the loos are freezing!

Can highly recommend the breakfast menu at the weekend. Especially as it is available until 13:00, which with other menus being accessible from 12:00 gives maximum flexibility. Great friendly and attentive service.
