Great service, good food, reasonably priced. House white is very nice.

We always enjoy eating here: the food is delicious and well presented and the service, this time, came with a lot of humour too. The waiter was delightful. One off thing this time was that the bread we ordered to eat with our soup came after we finished the soup. There were apologies and then the bread was removed from the bill. Lovely. There is a discretionary tip of 12.5% now added to the bill too so it’s not cheap to eat here. We think it’s worth it though.

Lovely meal at Cote last night. The monthly cocktails are a lovely touch and the service and food last evening could not be faulted. The special Cote de Boeuf was excellent and great value. Thank you for a very pleasant evening.

We felt that although the restaurant was quiet, it lacked attention to detail. Taking our order was slow and when the steak came it was not cooked to our specification.

Never fails to please Tasty food great atmosphere at a good price

Signed up for the CB newsletter and received a free bottle of wine on first visit. Booked to go after the Classics on the Common event, arrived and greeted immediately, they also knew about the wine offer, which is unusual as in most places they don't seem to know about offers you have received. The server was very friendly as were all the serving staff, of which there were plenty. The food arrived in good time, we had starters and pork belly for main course and was very good. The whole experience was most pleasant, there was a nice ambience and we will be revisiting.

Lovely air conditioning on one of the hottest days of the summer. Great meal of Squid and their wonderful Sea Bass with Fennel, my favourite whenever I eat there. Wine selection good and had a lovely white but blowed if I can remember the name. Good service , very welcoming and nice and quiet. My guest today has booked a table for tomorrow night she was so impressed. The place never fails to please. Perhaps when the schools are back and family groups descent on Harpenden it would not get the tremendous praise I want to heap on it today ?

This was our first visit here, what lovely staff nothing was to much trouble. I had the veggie breakfast which was lovely I am allergic to avocado so they just swapped it for mushrooms instead my husband had the full English. Will definitely be going back and would recommend here to my family and friends.

Visited on a weekday lunchtime. Lovely leisurely lunch with friends. service and food were just right.

The food and service were very good and it was quiet in the restaurant. The staff were very obliging especially as we wanted to change some of the food. I would recommend this restaurant.

Lack of parking was the only problem as Harpenden was very busy today. My husband’s lobster (starter) was tiny (hence 4 stars) but he enjoyed his fish stew. I had duck pâté followed by salmon - both were delicious. I had planned strawberries (Eton Mess) for dessert but we had to leave after our main course to avoid a parking ticket. The restaurant was empty (hence 4 stars for atmosphere) but it was a weekday lunchtime. We very much enjoyed our lunch though and will be back again soon! Thank you for my complimentary cocktail for regular diners - much appreciated!

Celebrating 2 friends birthdays. Staff made them feel special. Tasty food, fair price, good service, nice venue. We shall book again.

Staff had very kindly decorated the table for my 11 year old son’s birthday & provided a free welcome drink. Experience was let down by main courses arriving while we were still eating our starters. We later received main courses at an appropriate time.

Would have been better if the colouring in pictures and crayons were brought to my small grandchildren, at the beginning of the meal instead of at dessert stage!

Usual high standard of food and service from Côte restaurants. A good conversion from a post office. Not as noisy in the restaurant as I was led to believe. Look forward to going again.
