Food was delicious. Gluten free very well catered for. The crème caramel was the best ever. Friendly, attentive staff. Only negative was the noise - some soundproofing needed.

Service and food really excellent. We had 3 course lunch and the staff were helpful and attentive. Wouldnt hesitate to recommend based on this experience.

Food, service and ambience all very good indeed. We will definitely return. The French onion soup was amazing as was the rib eye. Great addition to harpenden!

The food was very good and the service prompt and friendly. The only issue for us was, as it was full - it was very noisy - like a crowded pub. Some sound dampening might be an idea?

Regulars at Cote Brasserie restaurants but our first time at the new Harpenden establishment in the tastefully adapted post office building. Nice atmosphere, if a little noisy, but the food was excellent standard and the daytime/ early evening menu was excellent value for money. Service was friendly and attentive.

First visit and very impressed. Service very good and food also very good with a wide choice. An English bitter beer would have been nice

Slightly slow service to begin with and we didn’t have slide plates which I thought odd - but the food quality was very good and staff pleasant

Our first visit to this new restaurant. The food was really nice, we chose from the set lunch, the fish was excellent. The value good. The restaurant was very busy and noisy, but it was a Friday and near to Christmas.

Great food and service, but just so noisy. Main courses great; vegetables were a little on the expensive side although beautifully cooked and presented. The happy conversations people were having just reverberated back around the room making it virtually impossisble to have a conversation even around a small table for four. So of course everyone just had to speak louder and louder!

Great service, well trained staff, always keeping busy and very attentive. Food was super; tasty & generous portions. We would recommend the duck, it was cooked beautifully. Lovely atmosphere in a comfortable environment.

Excellent food and service and a good variety of choice from the extensive menus. Lunchtime offers a particularly good value meal. An authentic French bistro feel.

Lovely food as usual with Cote, but so noisy - it's always so much nicer when it's quiet, but I can't always persuade others to eat at quieter times.

Food was delicious but it is just too noisy. Couldn’t really have a proper conversation. Shame given that everything else was fine. Don’t know if it is possible to do anything about this as I would certainly want to go back.

Excellent menu, tasty food, attentive service. Only quibble..... 12.5% gratuity added to bill. Would have given 10% without prompting. Accepted to avoid spoiling the evening.

The atmosphere and service was excellent as were three of the 4 meals, the forth meal (salad) was a little "dry" and "leaf heavy" but the staff were helpful in rectifying this.

Newly opened and very well decorated. Vibrant atmosphere and service as excellent as our previous Cote situated in St Albans. (Harpenden is nearer for us). We think the menu needs updating for regular users as we want something new to try. Definitely recommend.

We had an enjoyable Sunday lunch today with good food and excellent service. The booth seated five people comfortably. The prices are not cheap but are fair for the good quality food and plenty of choice.

Great food and wine and a lovely place - management and ordering a bit chaotic and one of the meals that arrived was wrong and not what we ordered. Once things settle down we will definitely go back

I was expecting a lot from cote as I have been to one of their restaurants in St Albans and that was a brilliant experience, but bearing in mind this location would have different staff I was slightly apprehensive but I needn't have been the service was of excellent quality as was the food. I would highly recommend cote brasserie to everyone and have already recommended it to all my friends

Most enjoyable evening the only downside is at the entrance very poorly lit could do with an up grade on the lighting, food very good service excellent, had a job at the end of the evening to retrieve coats !!!!

The setting is very nice. Had a great meal from a wide a varied menu. Our waiter was very helpful and attentive, would recommend a visit.

Excellent service and the food was delicious. Particularly liked the separate vegetarian menu and was spoilt for choice which is quite a rarity for veggies. Can’t wait to go back and try something else. Would recommend highly.

Welcome addition to Harpenden. Great staff and service despite so many tables being rather crammed in so space tight and shortage of coat hanging space. Good varied menu ,tasty well presented if a little too salty for our taste. Overall nice for an informal meal. Will return.

Good ambience, extremely helpful and friendly staff. The food was of a high standard. I had boudin noir for starters, which was a delight. Cassoulet for main course, which was fine. Cassoulet is one of my favourite meals, so I'm extremely difficult to please. The serving was rather too generous. The only negative was the noise level... but that appears to be the norm these days. I think every restaurant I know it's the same. The insistence on using hard materials on all surfaces (this explains the 5 rating).

Was nice, good service and atmosphere. Food was well priced and nice in flavour. Would see more as a mid week place rather than a weekend.
