The staff were very pleasant and helpful. The service was good and the meal very nice. The atmosphere was good and the environment very clean, tidy and well lit.

Delicious food and very good service but very noisy when the restaurant is busy. Some drapes, e.g. at the windows, would help absorb some of the sound.

Good meal , good service. I have never liked the concept of a service charge (12.5 % in this case) added to the bill .It makes it embarrassing with the waiter should you be dissatisfied with any aspect of the meal.

Service was good but very disappointed with food. Side orders of veg included very hard undercooked beans and very sloppy spinach which was not nice. Complained to manager and he was very nice and wanted the feedback.

Lovely breakfast although would be nice to have been bought butter for our toast and we didn't get our orange juice. Staff were very nice and had a lovely catch up with a friend.

We enjoyed a wonderful meal with very good service at a reasonable price. We look forward to revisiting this restaurant again in the very near future.

We had such a nice meal, the venue is good, the staff very nice and food tasty. I am gluten and dairy free at the moment and the staff were really impressive with their knowledge and so helpful, I was impressed.

Only us and one other table of 2 were in there, and still the waitress got our (very straight forward and uncomplicated) order incorrect. Firstly, if a member of staff doesn’t have the memory to retain a simple order, they should write down the order. Better to write it down and deliver the correct food than try to look slick by not writing it down, only to then get it wrong. Very annoying. Secondly, when the food is served and the customer asks which is the gluten free one, the waitress says oh sorry I forgot, there should be a greater level of apology and not for part of the food to simply be moved onto a new plate with the gluten free alternative. If only staff could take greater pride in the service they offer, it would make for a better customer experience all round, and surely more fulfilling and enjoyable working environment for the staff themselves.

Not advised of part sorbet order replaced with ice cream. A little niggle of the cost of going for 1 course off the day menu, not explained fully enough as to the cost implications. Food and service otherwise great. Regards, John Harvey.

A good experience but nothing out of the ordinary - a pretty average brasserie menu with pretty average service and pretty average ambience and seating.

The waiter got a little confused over the pouring of the wine. I explained it twice and he said he understood but still went ahead and poured an extra glass. The gluten free chips were out of stock so my guest had to change her mind. Two creme brûlée were ordered one came with raspberries and the other without. Overall it was nice food and the ambience was nice.

Food was lovely the staff were really friendly just a little to intrusive too many check backs, conversations being interrupted every 10 minutes ! Just relax that and it would be perfect !!

Lovely food, nice location, good service, but too noisy. Can you do anything to muffle the sound, please? A new ceiling? Otherwise, a great evening.

Great atmosphere fabulous food and service we had moules frittes crab mayonnaise fillet steak calamari washed down with a bottle of muscadet would well recommend

Being Valentines day it was very busy and it took a while for someone to come and take our drinks order and then our food order. It wasn't clear that we had to use the Valentines day set menu. However the food was delicious and the waiting staff did try very hard.

Restricted to just the Valentines menu which is understandable but no vegetarian starter on the menu and only one dessert vegetarian. More options would be ideal.

Good food, good service and good attention to detail. Atmosphere very pleasant and staff who were attentive without being overbearing. Overall, an excellent experience. We'll be going back.

The standard of food was very poor. We ate from the early menu and the portions were ridiculously small. I had the Camembert starter- hardly any cheese, then I had the haddock. What tiny amount of Fish was overdone. Came away disappointed. Could not say anything at the time as I was with friends for a special occasion. Their food also sub standard.

The food was good though service was slow, it was very busy for a Monday evening. The staff were lovely, surroundings nice and clean. My problem was it was so noisy I literally couldn’t hear what the person next door but one was saying or the person opposite them. We were a party of 5, I’m not sure if even a round table would have resolved this. There were no soft furnishings which is the norm these days but really they could do with some sound buffers on the ceiling.

A very nice meal with attentive staff looking after our table in spite of being very busy. The only downside was that, being very busy, the room was so noisy.

The staff were very courteous and helpful. Our meals were very well presented and very adequate in quantity. There was plenty of room and a good atmosphere. I shall certainly return on appropriate occasions.

Great atmosphere great food, except for veggie option which was overpriced for small starter of beetroot followed bymains of lentils & veg. Very small mains no taste unfortunately, so need to look at veggie options. All friends, starter, mains and puddings they all really enjoyed and would deffo recommend

Really glad a Côte has opened in Harpenden and this one was particularly good. Great food, lovely atmosphere and the staff couldn’t have been more helpful. Recommended!

Good atmosphere, like the conversion from the old post office! Food was lovely. Just be aware that they add 12.5% service charge onto your bill automatically.

Cote Brasserie ,does what it says on the tin ,French style bistro food at a fare price.Good service slightly but it is a bit noisy .

Had a fab birthday lunch for my mom. Staff very attentive and welcoming - Food enjoyed by all, will definitely be back very soon. Lesley J

The service was excellent, it was a birthday treat for my mum & the waiter came with a plate with happy birthday in chocolate, such a small gesture so lovely. The food was amazing too

Lovely mid week meal at Cote. Busy, and a good vibe. Our waiter was charming, and funny - and very good at his job. The room is well decorated, with tables not too close together, which can sometimes be a problem. All in all, a good experience.
