April set menu could be a little more extensive for the gluten free diner. However, food as good as always. Service excellent and very friendly.

We enjoyed our lunchtime experience very much. The staff were so courteous and helpful. Our two courses were so well presented and tasty. The restaurant was quite busy with a good atmosphere - the only problem that brings is the noise - an echo effect.

Excellent range of dishes all expertly prepared, hot and served at the right time. No rush with the meal and considerate pleasant service, especially from Dan the manager and his team. Feeling of dining in a good place and prices are good. Wine choice limited to French wines but prices comparable to other places. My fifth time of dining at the place and have had the same main dish every time...so good...have never tasted such good roasted sea bass and fennel. My guest today had breast of duck..I asked how many ducks had been prepared to fill her plate ! Good full plates and non of this stupid fancy cuisine with squishes of this and sprays of that and juis ! Cote have it just right. Recommend it very highly.

Staff very pleasant and service was quick and efficient. Food fine. Sea Bream was very tasty especially the courgette purée. Had a very pleasant evening.

Good value 2 course & 3 course set menu. Food tasty & well presented Service a bit slow (lunch time on a wet Wednesday) but it was quite full (70% tables taken)

Very attentive staff, lovely food and a great place to sit (we had the far left corner booth at the back - we has a really lovely 50th birthday celebration thank you. My daughter loved that you had a specific vegetarian menu - she chose the 'sausages' but they were 'off' the menu - she then felt her choices were slightly limited. She is 18 and only just vege so her palate is bit limited and not a goats cheese fan.

What a lovely ambiance and very reasonably priced, the staff couldn't be more attentive. it was our first visit but will definitely return! well done Cote!

Lovely meal, still really irritated by the optional 12.5% service charge why 12.5%? Not sure I can see where that level comes from at all !

It was our first time as a family to visit. We were very impressed with the welcome, ambience, friendliness and service. Would highly recommend and would definitely visit again.

Very friendly and helpful staff and the food was excellent - well presented and tasty! The service was fairly quick and all requests dealt with efficiently - well trained staff!

Our experience was really disappointing. We had been on week nights previously and had great food and service. However on a Saturday night we had a table that was so crammed in that we couldn’t sit down comfortably and then we felt that we were infringing on the table behind us. Really poor. 3 of us had ribeye steak, not a cheap option. Mine was awful, it was pale in colour, too thick, over cooked and tasteless. My husband gave me half of his, and it was 100% better. For the money we paid I was really disappointed, especially as we were bringing friends. I won’t be coming on a Saturday again. It’s a shame, there’s no need to be so greedy with packing in so many tables. Shame on you!

Great atmosphere, great menu, delicious food and attentive staff. Didn't have to ask for my complimentary wine, it was just presented to us. Will definitely return.

The service was fine, the restaurant was not busy yet it was quite slow. I also asked several times for a different milk and was bought the wrong one which I would have drunk had I not clarified what it was. I never did get the right one so had black coffee.

Speedy and friendly service. Food is always of a consistent high standard and restaurant has a nice atmosphere.

We visited with our two grandsons. Good choice of food, liked the new April fixed price menu; service was good , we have visited several times since this restaurant opened locally and will be visiting again soon.

Tables are placed too close together for couples. Food and drink were very good with a comprehensive gluten free offering. Service was very efficient and pleasant.

Competent enough food although my calamari looked like it came.out of a packet and was over battered and a number of dishes lacked flavour. Nice setting but service was a little haphazard.

The food was good, particularly delicious pork belly. Service was friendly and also good. The only negative was that it was very noisy due i think to wooden floors/decor.

The quality of both the food and staff was lower than I've experienced at other Cote restaurants. Seems this new restaurant still has a lot to learn.

Cote Brasserie provided unexpectedly good food in attractive surroundings. The restaurant was very busy and therefore on the noisy side, but the ambience was pleasant all the same. Will definitely re-visit.

We had a lovely evening, good service and attentive but not obtrusive. The entrees came quickly to take the edge off our hunger and the food in general was good with all the French classics in the pleasant surrounding of an old post office!

Great food and a friendly service, we couldn’t have asked for more. The food was prompt, even though the restaurant was full, honestly couldn’t fault it.

Lovely meal, friendly staff, a very enjoyable Saturday lunch. Will be back (especially if swordfish is on the menu). Only concern was the acoustics - difficult to hear when dining area full.

We had to wait for a while before a drinks order was taken and noticed that other parties who had been seated after us were served first. Apart from this the food was good and the service improved.

There is always a warm welcome and even when busy a sense they are giving personal al service. The food is consistently excellent and the menu offers something for everyone.

This is my third visit to Cote Harpenden. I have been to many of the Cote restaurants, some better then others. Cote Harpenden is by far one of the best. The restaurant is clean and well presented with a nice atmosphere. The service is above excellent and the food is fantastic too. The only thing I would suggest is slowing things down a little as the evening seemed to go a bit too quickly. I highly recommend Cote Harpenden.

Really excellent food, attentive service and a totally joyous experience. We always love Cote Brasserie especially the one in Harpenden. The staff are very friendly. Can't wait for our next visit.

We enjoyed the food eating from the set lunch menu. The La Lande Rouge was delicious and great value for money. Service was a little slow.

We have tried Cote in lots of different locations and Harpenden was excellent. The food, service and staff at all of the restaurants we have been to is very very good. Nothing is too much trouble!

This was our first time at Cote Harpenden. Excellent food and good service. Tables are a bit crammed in so you are a little too close to your fellow diners. We would have preferred a lower noise level.

Had a lovely breakfast today in Cote Bistro in Harpenden. Staff were lovely and friendly, and and food was delicious. Only comment is that it would be nice if baked beans could be served with the full English breakfast, and also stronger English Breakfast tea (or a choice of teas). Otherwise it was a really breakfast.

First time in Harpenden Cote, busy, good atmosphere and friendly staff, a bit slow but was a Saturday lunchtime. Food good and gluten free available which is very helpful, would recommend.

over priced food good but not that good and hate the fact they charge gratuity...it's a local restaurant...£75.00 for lunch not right !!!!.I won't go here again.

Excellent food and service and a lovely atmosphere to spend a very pleasant evening in. I would thoroughly recommend Cote to friends and family without hesitation
