Very good overall experience, very good food, perhaps the only thing was that the service seemed a bit slow, with a child was one of the group

Lovely restaurant and ambience. Food was delicious, and prompt service. Throughly looked after throughout visit! Good choice on breakfast menu; with each of the four people having something different, and not one regret about what we ordered! Will be back again!

Nice place. Food very nice and staff very friendly. Nothing is too much trouble. Down side is that they automatically add 12.5% service charge to your bill.

Staff were accommodating when some of our group were delayed on the train journey from London. Service was good as were the starters and main courses, although we were only offered the A La Carte menu and I thought the Prestige Set Menu was available at anytime on a Monday to Friday. Side dishes were disappointing - five small finger carrots was not enough for one person and the green salad was just a small bowl of lettuce.

Will return another time, no atmosphere last night as England were playing Columbia!! The restaurant is nice decorated, the food was lovely and portion sizes good. Service was a little hit and miss, given not busy was no excuses really. Overall an enjoyable meal at a reasonable price!

Food was ok but service wasn’t great . Waitress dropped things behind us and around us on the floor . Had to clean the floor , waitress not attentive

The food was excellent, but the service was terrible. The restaurant was less than one third full, but we had to wait over an hour for our main courses, and they only came after we had called the waitress who was more concerned to set tables for the dinner service. We then had to wait for our change as we paid cash, and only got change when we got up to leave and asked for it. The sound absorbing panels on the ceiling are an improvement.

We were a party or 4. The service was good and the starters were good. Three of the main meals were good but one was very disappointing and did not come up to the standard of the other three. The meal consisted of a few strips of chicken with an enormous amount of lettuce leaves. The dish should have had double the chicken and a third of the salad. This was our first visit to Harpenden but we have used the London restaurant many times and the food has always been good. We look forward to receiving your response.

Good value meal and more imaginative than most places Plenty of time to talk with a friend I don’t see often. She thought it was excellent and lovely setting.

We wanted only a main course & bottle of wine before leaving early following morning for holiday. Perfectly “not cooked” pink rump of lamb - just as requested - with griddled fennel & buttery mash & excellent bottle of Provence rose. Could I resist frozen berries? Of course not! Very friendly staff who asked a couple of times if we were okay and enjoying our breakfast - which was really enjoyable and came out quick.

For the money this is a really good breakfast. The deal of any hot breakfast plus a hot drink plus a juice is a really good one - but to be honest I’d rather pay a little more and the food be better executed. One egg was over done, one was a bit raw, the tomato could have done with more cooking. The service was lovely -

First time visit to Harpenden Cotes, will definitely dine there again. Friendly staff, great food. Great value for money for the lunch time menu. Look forward to eating there again soon.

Although we arrived late for our reservation, the staff were vey friendly. We had a good meal, didn't feel rushed although the service was attentive.

The Cote group is one of our favourite restaurants and this was the first time we visited Harpenden. We were disappointed as it did not come up to the high standard of other outlets.

Food was OK. Room was a bit noisy but not too bad as the restaurant wasn't full. Found it hard to attract the waitress's attention.

The experience on this occasion was awful. The food was sub standard and our waitress was rude and unprofessional in her approach to our complaints. The female manager on duty saved the day and should be commended on her customer service.

Good food, good service and a lovely atmosphere in the restaurant. Our first visit to the new Harpenden branch and it was Fathers Day as well.

Good meal and service. Restaurant noisy as not enough noise absorbency material not sure what else you want said. Staff friendly and attentative. That's it!

Pre-booked with the June free bottle of Rose offer. Excellent meal as usual and good service. Always a bit noisy but it adds to the atmosphere.

The food was good and the table wait staff were fine but the person we assumed to be the manager was not engaged with the customers and, when we left nobody said goodbye or thanks. So a bit cheerless.

Great atmosphere and great food. Service was relaxed but attentive - didn’t feel like they were rushing us out (which is something I really hate!). I would definitely come here over St Albans as the acoustics are better.

Amazing food and great atmosphere. Cote never seems to fail to deliver high quality food at a very reasonable price. The service was, as always excellent.

Moved to Harpenden in April and Cote was first on our trial list. Had fab relaxed meal with ambience. So returned with their complimentary wine deal and same experience with attentive and friendly waitressing staff. Vegetables a bitto crunchy so know next visit to request less crunch. Also complimentary desert due to this....chose the creme broulaue.....the best ever. Well done cote. See you on 9 June

My partner and I had a lovely meal, we took advantage of the early dinner offer and thoroughly enjoyed our meal, will be eating here again!

Good service, good food, relaxing ambience. Less crowded than we expected which is concernong but in no wsu detracted from our enjoyment. We had a lovely evening with old friends.

JUST worth a six. Walls made of glass and wooden panels, ceilings hard and smooth, wooden floor - all made for a very unpleasant din, even though it was only half full.

Two of my favourite things on the menu last night; pork belly, and crème brûlée. After the mammoth portion of calamari for a starter I could not have eaten another thing. 10/10. @ Côte Brasserie

A lunch date for my wife's birthday - were each treated to a complimentary glass of Kir Royale. Starter and main course both beautifully cooked.

This is the second time we've been for breakfast, both times our gluten free friend has had to return her food because the croissant received isn't gluten free.

Cote is great. Really reliable. If you’re vegetarian or even pescatarian then choice is limited . I appreciate that as a French restaurant one is never going to get an emphasis on vegetarian options but these days in 21st century UK we could really do with a few more choices that aren’t meat related. The Harpenden restaurant is excellent and the staff are positively over attentive! All orders are executed perfectly.

Excellent service. Food extremely good. Dietry requirements not a problem. Lots of choice and staff very helpful and knowledgeable. Great atmosphere. Definitely will go back.

Good quality food at a reasonable price. Staff members work hard to make the experience an enjoyable one. The restaurant itself has a nice ambiance. Would recommend.

No Picpoul de Pinet by the glass. The only disappointment tonight. I'd like a better range of mid-price wines and don't share others' obsession with Sauvignan Blanc. Apart from that, faultless.
