A good quick bite before the theatre. We just needed one course and per pressed for time. The service was prompt and the food delicious.

My wife and I had different main courses. Both were hot and tasty. Good value compared with other local restaurants we have experienced. Good atmosphere even at a 2 p.m. start for us. Second time for us at the Restaurant, and we shall return.

Very pleasant Saturday lunch. Steak frites delicious as usual and my friend enjoyed the crab starter very much - didn't want a full meal. Service excellent as always.

We had another fabulous meal with excellent service, atmosphere, food and staff. Harpenden branch continues to provide wonderful dining experience at a very reasonable price.

Portions were very small on the main course of the set menu and no where near as good as on the main menu but this is not described on the set course menu. We were very hungry after the meal and went home and raided the biscuit tin. Also felt very rushed

Overall experience pleasant as usual. Food a bit mixed - my companion's steak was 'not the best I've ever had' but acceptable. Langoustine starter delicious but the saute potatoes with my main were very well done and felt like they'd sat around for quite a while.

We responded to a January sale invite of £9.95 for a two course lunch/dinner. We were allowed in 20 minutes early to an empty restaurant at 4:40 PM which was marvellous! The menus were new as well and we enjoyed delicious food there that afternoon. I was offered a taster of an aperitif before buying which was very kind as well. The only problem with this restaurant could be the parking. It is on a main road and parking on the road is only for one hour until 5:30 PM. This means the nearest car park is quite a trek away but it’s worth it nonetheless. Drinks are expensive and our bill was £40 for the two courses plus a soft drink, a beer and two coffees. The drinks cost £20 i.e. the same cost as the two courses for two of us. We didn’t mind at all because the food is so beautifully prepared and tasty. We will look forward to another visit in January.

Had a very enjoyable lunch. Good choices on set lunch menu. Our only french restaurant in Harpenden! Can be a bit noisy when nearing maximum capacity as there is no soft furnishings to deaden the nose.

Food great but service was poor, been to cotes many times and this is the first time I have been disappointed, it wasn’t busy but food took too long to arrive.

Enjoyable evening. Good food and service. Only fault is they don’t have Prosecco which is a very popular drink and my friends were quite disappointed.

Great place for breakfast and very good value. Everything was cooked perfectly and they even had gluten free options - no gf sausages - but extra bacon was provided in its place.

Excellent staff and lovely service and food. A very simple meal of chicken and dauphinois potato was delicious. Everyone in our party enjoyed their food, with the creme caramel bring a particular delight.

The service was good, but the 1/2 roast chicken served with chips tasted as though the chicken had been cooked and re heated, the chicken was leathery and chewy with little moisture or flavour.

Good choice of menus. Good food and friendly service. Cote is always a good choice whatever the occasion. Also good location. I don't agree with the adding of the percentage service charge and normally request bill excluding this and prefer to add my own.

The meal selection was more than adequate with plenty of traditional and seasonal dishes. All courses were promptly served and served hot. also pleasant atmosphere

Excellent food and service as ever, nice quiet table, only problem in this restaurant is noise. Too many hard surfaces to absorb sound. Pity it is not larger, sometimes difficult to get table.

Perfectly pleasant Saturday lunch. Service as good as ever and ambience fine. Had the steak frites (as I often do!) and steak wasn't quite as pink as usual but still tender and delicious. And my friend enjoyed hers very much.

The old post office has been beautifully restored and makes an excellent venue. Food was also excellent, good value for money and the staff were attentive without being obtrusive. Highly recommended.

Meal was very tasty and ambience was buzzy.... really nice evening and would be happy to return again. Starter, main and dessert all were yummy.

First visit to Cote since the conversion from the Post Office, and what a great job they did, creating a warm welcoming ambiance right from the greeting at the door on arrival. We booked an early evening dinner, Mum,s birthday, which we chose not to advertise. The service was excellent, friendly and helpful. A great menu with plenty of choice. All courses were prepared and presented so well. The three of us had a relaxed and un-rushed evening, and our teenage son tried some new quizine. All in all a perfect way to celebrate, a perfect evening. I am sure we will be back. Many thanks to the team.

We arrived five minutes before the close of the lunch menu for dinner and were allowed to order from this menu nonetheless. Marvellous! Also we were offered, from using the Quandoo app, a free cocktail each as well. These were, quite simply, delicious! The food was good as always and the service exceptional.

Lovely food, and great decor but very noisy. Staff were very lovely but tables very close to each other and quite squashed in. Crepes Suzettes were amazing

Lovely staff but my soup was served cool and was sent back to be heated. Delicious creme caramel and hot chocolate sauce. Given an extra biscuit for greedy partner, thanks!

Service very slow at lunchtime. Needs more serving staff and presumably kitchen staff. My guests did not want a starter but wanted to eat her main course at the same time as my starter and this took nearly 45 minutes to come.

I had a birthday meal at Cote Brasserie - Harpenden, and it was fantastic! The staff were so lovely, and gave me a complimentary glass of bubbly to start the evening! They were very helpful the entire evening, and the food was delicious. My dessert even had 'Happy Bday' written in chocolate, which was a treat! Lovely evening, will definitely come back.

Breakfast at Côte Brasserie never fails to impress. The formule is superb, good quality food and coffee every time. Service is always great and we are always made to feel very welcome!

Went to Cote for a pre show dinner and had the weekend special steak frites. Good consistent quality food. Very friendly and helpful staff and efficient but not overbearing service. Would definitely recommend.

Another lovely breakfast! This time they even kindly swapped a pain au raisin in for me! Always polite prompt service and excellent valur for money!

Food good, but chaotic service. We couldn’t work out who was supposed to take our order. At one stage I had to ask if we had become invisible. They did not get their 12.5%.
