Côte Hampstead

Had a set menu, as usual, but wished the waitress would have reminded me of the free drink we were able to get as we booked a table online. But anyways, food was great as almost always. Thought this time cutlery wasn’t clean enough, so that seemed a bit disgusting. For the next time, I am not sure if there is a reason to get a table booked, as we were still seated wherever the place was, not some special table was left for us, seemed a bit disappointing.

We did have a very good time at Hampstead. The food was also good as also the service was very good

A special 80th birthday dinner for 9 was booked on the internet. Requested a certain table position which was ready and waiting when we arrived. We brought a few balloons and happy birthday banners that were allowed by the staff to make the bring even more special. The management and staff were first class and made the evening a great success. Vjosa our waitress was absolutely marvellous her humour and attention to detail could not have been better. The food was excellent and waiting time minimal A successful evening was enjoyed by us all. Thank you Cote Hampstead and an even bigger THANK YOU Vjosa🥳😍👍🤗 John and Suzy.

Excellent steak, sea bass was lovely! Creme caramel was tasty and well presented. Would definitely be back again. One of my favourite Côte in London, never get disappointed.

I am a frequent visitor to Côte since many years and am always very satisfied with the food, the service and the staff is always very welcoming and attentive at all the restaurants. But, last night when visiting Côte in Hampstead I was not very happy, the reason being that I wanted to redeem the Blood Orange cocktail on offer and was unable to do so. I tried twice when booking but was unsuccessful. This has happened before and on one occasion even the manager could not redeem for me. When I arrived with my partner I told the manager and asked if it would be allright to receive the cocktails anyway as we had booked on line, as she could see. She then said she could not let us have the cocktails as ’redeemed’ was not showing on the booking. We were very disappointed. After seating us she asked to see if she could help but she was also unsuccessful in ’redeeming’. I thought a gesture of good will on her part would have been to let us have the drinks. Her attitude could easily lose Côte customers.

The place is nice and service is not bad, but the food has no quality, my risotto was tasteless. The orders from my family were not good as well. Hope you can improve. But we are not coming back. Sorry.

The managers and staff are so lovely 😊 and give a personal touch to the service as so nice and friendly and remember us each time . Thank you 😊. Our favourite restaurant in Hampstead and we will keep coming , great food 🥘 and nice and relaxed and reasonable prices , F 😍 plus we always get our favourite table

restaurant was unpleasantly over heated. food took a long time to arrive. My plate was flooded with cream sauce - not as it usually is served (this dish is a regular choice for me. ) Service was kind and attentive, however the whole experience was not up to usual brasserie Cote standards and expectation.

As usual Cote provided a delightful luncheon experience. Always a reliable choice and always one of my recommendations !

Far exceeded my expectations. Beautiful ambiance. Service was attentive yet gentle. Food was prepared and cooked with perfection and creativity. A fine dining experience rather than a regular restaurant chain

A warm welcome was extended to my friend and myself. However, the restaurant was noisy and we were unable to get comfortable in this environment for our catch-up which we had organised for my birthday. It was not possible to find a quiet table so we felt obliged to leave.

It was my friend's birthday and the Cote Hampstead team were so lovely and made it a very special lunch. Complimentary drinks and a dessert, plus a happy birthday rendition, one couldn't ask for more.

Even on a very busy Valentine's evening Cote ticked all the boxes. Great food, great service, great atmosphere as usual!

First class as always Packed for Valentines but staff were attentive and cheerful. Food good although felt the chateaubriand was a little mean looking on the plate and lacked a little theatre in the way it was presented. A place called Chez Gerard ( I think long since gone) used the slice but leave the “loaf” on a wooden board . Everything else excellent I just wish there were more reliably decent eateries in Hampstead as great though Cote is, it’s nice to have a choice

We were given a warm welcome for my birthday lunch. The service was excellent, friendly and professional. The restaurant looked attractive and we will be back!

We were hoping for a pleasant late Sunday lunch, but various disappointments meant the experience was not quite up to standard... one vegetarian option was no longer available when we ordered; bread and olives arrived only after prompting; water refills similarly needed a reminder; a waitress dropped a glass which shattered, showering me with water... We received a discount on the bill but overall the service was not up to scratch - sorry!

I booked a table for 8 people and I did this in person as I am in the neighbourhood. Unfortunately, when our party started to turn up, your restaurant was under renovation and closed. No one had called me to inform me of this temporary closure so our small reunion had to be cancelled. My experience was non-existent with poor customer service as I had booked this in person the week or two before the renovation so this should have been flagged in the restaurant at booking. At the very least someone should have called me to let me know so I could have changed my venue and/or date. Regards Flora

Disappointing as it wasn't as good as my usual experience at the Cotes chain which I use quite a lot. I ordered the belly of pork and specifically asked for a nice juicy piece with the crackling. Sadly it came up with okay crackling but a shrivelled piece of pork. I did complain and they offered me another one although they said it would take 15 mins. I thought I probably wouldn't be very hungry after 15 minutes but agreed to have another. The next one came and looked much better but was still stringy. I have now eaten this dish in about three of your restaurants and it can be very hit and miss. Sorry.... but you did ask. Undeterred I am going to the Lewes branch on Valentine's Day so hoping for better!! Josie Matthews

Quite a lot of kids in the restaurant which made it less relaxing than normal. Staff were very pleasant and accommodating though. The swordfish special was disappointing- lacked seasoning and wasn’t lemony and had hardly any capers.

Staff fantastic! Food very good but I chose 2 salads, therefore not cooked! The warm cheese and walnut with endive salad was excellent. The Nicoise was also good.

Extremely slow and a poor service unexpected of Cote. Where to start? From the onset when we waited almost 20 minutes to order our drinks, given the waiter said he’d be back in two minutes. During our starter we were asked to move mid way through our starter to accommodate a larger group, who clearly didn’t pre-book their table. Finally when we finished our main course the waiter had not even mentioned if we’d like to see the dessert menu when collecting the empty plates. So we sat there for another 20 mins before deciding to get our jackets and leave. At this point the duty manager was trying to explain the reason for the delay. The meal was a treat for my sisters birthday and although the food was delicious the service was extremely poor. Evidently the little or lack of training reflected the poor customer service. I’ve enjoyed many dining occasions at Cote, however, this was the first time such a service was experienced at Hampstead.

It was a pretty experience which will definitely bring us back to Cote Brasserie - Hampstead.

Very good. The atmosphere was relaxed. We were not hurried.
