Côte Hampstead

Slow service. Only one person serving upstairs during our meal. Felt sorry for the young waitress trying to cope. We'd intended to order desserts (so would have spent more money) but gave up and went to gelato/chocolate shop up the road.

Best breakfast around, excellent value and fantastic staff. Lovely way to spend a leisurely morning!

My thanks for a perfect birthday dinner at Cote Hampstead last night. The service was discretely attentive and the food was up to the high standard one’s got use to expecting at all Cote locations (when I come across one found wanting, I’ll let you know!)

As always, the service was great and attentive! We had the menu for before 7pm. I enjoyed the starter salad and the main course was the vegetarian option of (I think!) butternut squash and chickpeas cakes with spinach, egg and a tasty sauce. It was a little solid and heavy but good. The only comment I would make is that I really wish that you could somewhere resurrect that amazing dish of haddock fish cakes with egg! The best ever!!!!!!!

Lovely atmosphere and very welcoming and friendly staff. Food always high standard, beef bourgignon is very nice and perfect for autumn. Well done Cote Hampstead for consistency!

A lovely lunch with a complimentary cocktail. I had steak frites with creamed spinach and my friend had fish Parmentier. Both delicious! A very enthusiastic and efficient waiter served us. Highly recommend.

Consistently high standard of food and service. Brilliant gluten free menu and the staff are wonderful with elderly folks. Loved the cassoulet.

I took two friends who had never been before, and both lliked it very much. Our only criticism was that we had to wait to give our order, but when the food came it was excellent.

A lovely Sunday lunch. However, it was quite busy and though the service was really good and attentive when we got it, it was hard to catch a waiter’s attention when we needed it. They were rushing around non-stop and I had to get up a couple of times to catch them at their station.

The food was very good, in particular the duck breast and the service was also excellent .

Steak not as good as usual. Tough and sinewy. Lovely waitress and very obliging manager who is always there and always very pleasant took it back for a new one. Good rose wine. It will not deter me from going . I am a frequent customer. Their creme caramel is the best anywhere!

Having booked a table there was no welcome .....” I’m only a trainee manager” so we had to wait.... Food was good though child’s mashed potato was very poor - I should have complained. Other food Ok though it not as flavourful as usual. Excellent waiter.

When we arrived it took us about 5 minutes for someone to greet us at the door and take us to our table. Once our food arrived the waitress served it by leaning over us and just dumping it down. The food was overly salty and the tuna steak was as thin as a pancake and cooked all the way through. Dessert was even worse. I had the iced berries with hot choc sauce. It turned up and the choc sauce was stone cold and tasted sour. I complained and the manager told me I was ‘wrong’. I eat I. Many different cotes and this is my go to restaurant as I always have a great meal and service but I will not be returning to the Hampstead branch. Shame as I live here
